Week Seventeen

We only had four of our teams in midweek action this week and one of them failed to pick up any goals. That team was PETERBOROUGH who lost 3-0 at home to our top scoring team of the week BRISTOL CITY. Peterborough picked up their 6th blank score sheet of the season and they have now scored just one goal in their last three games. City on the other hand have failed to score any goals in their previous two games, so these three now gives them a total of 39. MK DONS drew 2-2 against Rochdale at home while SHEFFIELD UNITED drew 1-1 at home to Notts Co. United are now on 33 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS
With another full league fixture for our English teams and another round of the WILLIAM HILL SCOTTISH CUP we had a very good weekend for goals. Last weekend we had an average score of  just four goals but that has now shot up to 6 goals this weekend. We had four teams that had no game over the weekend and another eight teams that failed to score.
Our highest score did not come from the Scottish cup but from League One where MK DONS won 6-0 at home to Colchester. This is the second time that the Dons have picked up six goals in a game and they are now on a total of 52 goals and back as our best team this weekend. This is their 6th season with Golden Goals and their highest score was back in our 2011/12 Season with 105 goals.
