WEEKEND RESULTS

So we had our very first full weekend fixture and what a fantastic start to the season. We had just four teams with no game over the weekend with another twelve of our teams that failed to score any goals. So for our very first weekend the average score was 5 goals. So if your combination picked up more than that, then you have done very well this weekend.

The Highest score over the weekend was five goals and they came from two of our teams, FULHAM who won 5-1 away to Huddersfield. After just two games they are on a total of 6 goals. They have 8 votes this season. MANCHESTER UNITED won 5-0 at home to Leeds United in their first game of the season. United have  a total of 31 votes this season.

Fulham are one of our original teams as they started in our first season being the third highest voted team. In our 1983/84 Season they finished on a total of 68 goals. Their highest score came in the 2000/01 Season with 105 goals. Last season they scored just 32 goals which is now their lowest score ever. Fulham are in their 17th Season with us and over the years they have scored a total of 1069. This gives them an average score of 62 goals per season.

Manchester United are also from our original season where they were our fourth most voted team. In their first season they finished on a total of 79 goals. Their highest score came in the 1993/94 Season with 117 goals. They have scored 100 or more goals in four of their season’s with us. Last season they finished on a total of 87 goals. This is their 39th Season with Golden Goals and they have netted a total of 3266 goals which gives them an average score of 83 goals per season.
