Day Three

Sorry for not putting up any update’s  yeasterday as I could not get to the computer as here in the UK it was father’s day yesterday. So let’s catch up on all the games from day three.

We start in Group C where COLOMBIA took on Greece. We have Colombia in this game and they have a five votes. This is their 3rd Golden Goals World Cup and they only scored one goal in their last apprence back in the 1998 finals. They put up a good show here as Greece was not really any threat to them and won their opening game 3-0.
In Group D URUGUAY lost their opening game 3-1 to Costa Rica which was a big suprise. Uruguay have twelve votes and this is their second World Cup with us. We last had them back in ourfirst World Cup in 1990 were they finished on just 2 goals. Then we had the biggest game of the day when ENGLAND took on ITALY. Now England have only picked up three votes while the Italian’s have a total of one. Still staying up late to watch the game was well worth it as England played a lot better than their previous warm up games. After nearly scoring in the first five mintues, it was Italy to score first but it was not before England came back and equalised. But Italy kept on going and finally scored their second. Italy win 2-1. This is Englands fifth World Cup with us and scored just 3 goals in the last World Cup. Italy isourfourth team to have played in all of our seven World Cups and scored 4 last time round.
So At the end of the third day games, all of our nine nations have scored goals giving us a total of 17 goals to date.
