First Goals For Brazil

What a start to the World Cup games as BRAZIL had to fight back after a home goal by Marcelo in the 11th minute of the first half. This was not the best opening game to start the world cup but there were at times end to end stuff. Croatia did at times show some promissing football but you can not take away Brazil’s come back in this game. Neymar equalised in the 29th minute and after half time it all went Brazil’s way. With a harsh penalty in the 70th minute, Neymar scored his second of the game and now it was more end to end as Croatia turned on the pressure. But in the 90th minute a fantastic run and goal by Oscar, gave the home nation the win that they were after and the first points in Group A go to Brazil. 3-1 was the final score.
As I have reported in the previous post that we have picked Brazil as our top team with 45 votes out of 50 and they have always, in the seven World Cups that Golden Goals has covered, been either the best or second most voted nation. So Brazil is just one of our teams that have played in all of the Golden Goals World Cup competitions and they have always scored in their first round games with two goals but in the 2006 World Cup first round game they had only scored one goal. So this is their highest first round score to date for us.
Tonight  we have MEXICO against Cameroon in Group A while in Group B all of their games get under way with SPAIN against HOLLAND and CHILE against Australia.
