(Carabao) League Cup Second Round

We had twenty-five of our teams in cup action and fourteen of them have made it through to the third round.
It was LEEDS UNITED that picked up the highest score of the night and their season as they hammer Newport 5-1 at home. Leeds are now our third best team to date and our highest scoring English team with 14 goals. WEST BROM are also through as they win 3-1 away to Accrington and they are now on a total of 5 goals and it was also their highest score of the season. ASTON VILLA are on 12 goals as they win 4-1 at home to WIGAN. Wigan picked up goal number ten. BOURNEMOUTH won 2-1 away to BIRMINGHAM to pick up their first goals of the season while Birmingham are now on a total of 9 goals. BOLTON also have picked up their highest score this season as they win 3-2 at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Bolton take their goals tally to 9. BURTON ALBION are through as they win 2-1 away to CARDIFF. Albion are now on 8 goals while Cardiff picked up their 11th goal of the season. It’s 8 goals for SUNDERLAND as they win 2-1 away to Carlisle. CRYSTAL PALACE have picked up their first goals of the season as they win 2-1 at home to IPSWICH who are now on 12 goals. DONCASTER are on 11 goals as they win 2-0 at home to HULL who have picked up their first blank of the season. FULHAM are out as they lost 1-0 at home to Bristol Rovers to pick up their third consecutive blank score sheet. MIDDLESBROUGH are through as they win 3-0 at home to SCUNTHORPE. Brough are now on a total of 7 goals while Scunthorpe have picked up their first blank of the season. MK DONS are on three goals but lost the game 4-1 at home to Swansea. CHARLTON went 1-0 up against NORWICH but then lost 4-1 away. Charlton are on 8 goals while Norwich are now on 13 goals with their highest score of the season. BRENTFORD picked up their highest score of the season with a 4-1 win over QUEENS PARK RANGERS. Brentford are now on 12 goals while Rangers picked up goal number seven. Its 9 goals for LEICESTER CITY as they score their highest goals of the season as they win 4-1 away to SHEFFIELD UNITED. United are on 6 goals. The only game that went into extra time was READING against Millwall where it ended 1-1 after the full 90 minutes but Reading went on to win 3-1 in that extra time. Reading, with their highest score of the season, are now on 8 goals.
