Week Three

In Week Three of the competition and this weekend we had another two winners to share the £6 weekend cash prize money.  Our winners won on a score of 10 goals which is a little better than last weekends score.
One of our winners is our second lady to win this season and she is BARBARA BARNES with her third combination. Barbara started the competition in the 2000/01 Season. Last season Barbra’s best combination finished in 18th place on 321 goals with two weekend wins winning just over £23 in cash. Our other winner is TONY SKINNER who started with Golden Goals in the 2013/14 Season. Last season Tony finished in 76th place and failed to win any cash, so a good start for the season for Tony.

Barbara – CELTIC 2, CHARLTON 4, MANCHESTER UNITED 4
Tony – ASTON VILLA 4, CELTIC 2, MANCHESTER UNITED 4

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Fifty of us picked up some midweek goals for the race for the £40 cash prize money this season. The prize money will go to the first person to reach 100 goals from their three teams.
We had just one player that picked up the most number of midweek goals this week with four goals and they went to ABBEY NEWMAN. Abbey picked the four up from Ipswich and that takes her total to 12. Abbey’s other teams are Celtic and Manchester City.
Out in front this week still with 17 goals is AMANDA MORRISON who has Falkirk, Manchester City and Scunthorpe. In Second place we have GARY BOLBERY,  TONY GUY (2),  and DAVE WOOD all with 15 goals. In third place all on 14 goals we have SIMON DICKINSON, MIKE PEPPERRELL and JAMES PLATT. We then have a total of twelve players on 13 goals with four still yet to score any midweek goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS
Things seem to be slowing down in our second full weekend fixture as teams struggle to score goals. We had four teams with no game over the weekend with another fourteen teams that failed to score any goals. So our weekend average score was just four goals which is a little better than last weekends. So if your teams picked up more than that, then you have done well.
The Highest score over the weekend was four goals once again and we had four teams that scored them. They came from ASTON VILLA, CHARLTON, FOREST GREEN and MANCHESTER UNITED.
