Manchester City in League Cup Final

In one of the Carabao/League Cup Semi-Finals, if you can remember and it was not that long ago that MANCHESTER CITY won their first leg game against BURTON ALBION 9-0 at home. That became this season’s highest score that we have had here at Golden Goals for this season. In the second leg game, expectations of City going into double figures were soon deflated as they went a goal up at half-time. That is how the game remained after the full 90 minutes 1-0 to City, winning 10-0 on aggregate. The single goal has extended their goal run to eleven games and they are now on a total of 85 goals. Burton picked up their eighth blank score sheet of the season.

In the Scottish Premiership they are back from their winter break and things have changed here in the table. CELTIC have gone back to the top after they won 4-0 at home to St Mirren taking their goals tally to 61. RANGERS are down to third place after they lost 2-1 away to Kilmarnock after going a goal up. That is their 51st goal of the season. ABERDEEN won 3-0 away to HAMILTON and they are now on a total of 43 goals and move into fourth place. Hamilton picked up their fifteenth blank score sheet and now just two goals in their last eight games. HEATS lost 2-1 at home to Dundee and they are now on 46 goals. HIBERNIAN lost 1-0 away to Motherwell and that is their eighth blank score sheet.
