WEEK SIXTEEN


Here we go with sheet 16 of our 31st Season of competition. Paul Hudson is still top with still the longest stay of nine straight weeks now. Paul picked up a total of six goals over the weekend and they all came from Manchester City. His teams are Manchester City, Rangers and Watford. Paul is just two goals clear of Paul Davey who remained in second place this weekend as he picks up a single goal from Wolves in midweek and six from City over the weekend. Paul has Manchester City, Rangers and Wolves.
At the other end, John Dove remained in the 103 spot this week for his third stay as he picked up a total of five goals over last week. John has Arsenal, Bolton and Doncaster.  
We have now had a total of 24 weekend winners after Vince Cruickshank picked up the weekends highest score with 12 goals. He also picked up the rollover jackpot of £10. Congratulations Vince.
Rangers are still our best team and the only team with a 100% scoring record this season. Rangers did not have any game at the weekend again and so they have still scored in all of their fourteen league/cup games. Total number of goals is 51. At the other end Crystal Palace is still our worst team as they picked up another goal this weekend and are now on a total of 8 goals.
Our best three teams for scoring goals are still Rangers (51) Leyton Orient (47) and Manchester City (41) Total of 139 goals if you had them.

More goals for us


No football sheet at the moment as I am having trouble with corrupt files? So I hope to get week sixteen to you tomorrow.
Still we did have loads of our team’s in action last night and the highest score for us came from Scunthorpe. They won 4-0 away to Rochdale and they are now on a total of 24 goals with their biggest score of the season to date.
It’s 20 goals for Charlton as they win 2-0 at home against Doncaster. Doncaster picked up their 6th blank score sheet of the season. Brentford are on 36 goals as they beat Peterborough 3-2 at home. It’s good news that after a two game dry spell for goals that Peterborough are back on the score sheet with 40 goals. Leyton Orient are on 49 as they drew 2-2 away to Bristol City. City take their goals tally to 33.
After a two game dry spell, Gillingham are now on 24 as they win 3-2 at home to Stevenage. Preston are now on 34 goals as they win 2-0 away to Port Vale and Sheff Utd are on 20 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to Walsall. After picking up five goals at the weekend, Fleetwood Town lost last night 2-0 away to Accrington and picked up their fifth blank score sheet of the season.

Rangers keep going

Rangers have kept their 100% scoring record intact as they win 3-0 away to Arbroath last night. Rangers take their goals tally for this season to 54 and they remain our best team to date.
Aston Villa drew 2-2 away to West Brom and that now gives them a total of 16 goals.
There are loads of games being played tonight, so another update tomorrow.

FC Cup Disaster


Out of the four teams that we have in Golden Goals that were involved in the 1st Round FA Cup replays this week, only one has made it through to the second round.
One of our teams went out Monday night and another two from last night. They were Scunthorpe who lost 2-1 at home to non-league team Grimsby. After a two game dry spell for goals, Scunthorpe hit goal number 18. Wolves lost 2-1 at home to Oldham and are on 32 goals. Wolves have scored three goals in their last three games. The team that has made it through to the second round was Bristol Rovers. They won 3-2 away to York and they now have a total of 20 goals.

WEEK FIFTEEN

Here we go with sheet 15 of our 31st Season of competition. Paul Hudson is still top with the longest stay of eight straight weeks even though he had none of his teams in action this week. His teams are Manchester City, Rangers and Watford. Paul is just three goals clear of Paul Davey who remained in second place this weekend as he picks up a single goal from Wolves over the weekend. Paul has Manchester City, Rangers and Wolves.
At the other end, John Dove remained in the 103 spot this week for his second stay as he also had none of his teams in action. John has Arsenal, Bolton and Doncaster.

We had a couple of results last night. Gillingham are out of the FA Cup as they get beaten by non-league team Brackley Town 1-0 away in the replay. Gillingham have now had a total of four blank score sheets.
In the league, Peterborough lost 2-0 away to Walsall to pick up their fifth blank score sheet of the season.

Scottish Cup News


In the William Hill Scottish Cup Third Round, Stenhousemuir move into the next round of the cup as they win 4-2 away to Annan last night. Stenhousemuir take their goals total to 29.

WEEK FOURTEEN


Here we go with sheet 14 of our 31st Season of competition. Paul Hudson has now has been top with the longest stay of seven straight weeks. His teams are Manchester City, Rangers and Watford but he is just four goals clear of Paul Davey who remained in second place this weekend. Paul has Manchester City, Rangers and Wolves.
At the other end, Claire Hill has moved off the bottom after a stay of just one week.  In the 103 spot this week we see another new face John Dove.  
We have now had a total of 23 weekend winners all picking up some lovely cash. This week’s winners are Barbara Barnes and Terrie Goodey. Congratulations.

Rangers fans are pleased

Rangers have extended their 100% scoring record as they beat Dunfermline 3-1 at home last night. Rangers have now played 13 league/cup games and are well on target to beat that Peterborough record of 129 goals back in 2010/11 Season. Rangers stand on a total of 49 goals to date.

WEEK THIRTEEN


Here we go with sheet 13 of our 31st Season of competition. Congratulations to Paul Hudson who now has been top for the longest stay of six straight weeks. His teams are Manchester City, Rangers and Watford and he is still five goals clear of Paul Davey who moves move’s into second place this weekend. Paul has Manchester City, Rangers and Wolves.
At the other end, Stuart Kemp has moved off the bottom after a stay of six straight weeks, seven over the season. He moved up into 101st place as He picks up a total of 12 goals over the past week. He has Manchester United, Southend and Tottenham. In the 103 spot this week we see our first lady to do so as Claire Hill falls down to rock bottom after she picked up just three goals all week from her combination. Claire’s teams are Arsenal, Celtic and Crystal Place.
Rangers are the only teams that we have now that have a 100% scoring record for this season. Arsenal picked up their first blank in midweek against Chelsea in the cup while Forest picked up theirs at the weekend against Blackpool. Rangers have now played 12 league and cup games and are well on target to beat that Peterborough record of 129 goals back in 2010/11 Season. Rangers stand on a total of 46 goals and they are playing tonight.
Our worst team is once again Crystal Palace. They have picked up a total of six blank score sheets all from the weekends. They have played eleven games to date and they have netted just 7 goals.
So let’s catch up with the few games that have already been played this week. In Scotland Aberdeen won their game against Partick 4-0 which takes their goals tally to 25. Bristol City are today on 27 as they win 2-0 at home to Crawley Town. Wolves drew 2-2 away to Carlisle and are now on 29 goals and have scored in all of their last eight games.

WEEK TWELVE


Okay at last the next News Sheet is out and as you can see that Paul Hudson is in his fifth straight week at the top and still five goals clear of Nick Horton who moves into second place. Congratulations to Paul for being the first person to hit 100 goals already. Paul has Manchester City, Rangers and Watford in his combination.
At the other end, Stuart Kemp is still at number 103 which is his sixth weekend there but seven over the season. Stuart is now six goals behind John Dove, but we still have a long way to go. Stuart has Manchester United, Southend and Tottenham in his combination.
Scottish Rangers are still our best team this weekend and they are really doing well. A total of 43 goals to date and they are playing in the Williams Hill Scottish Cup 3rd Round tonight against Airdrie. Rangers are well on target to beat that record end of season score of 129 goals by Peterborough back in our 2010/11 Season. Crystal Palace is still our worst team as they have only picked up seven goals in ten games. They have now scored just two goals in their last six games. They have had a total of five blank score sheets to date.
