Week Thirty

In Week Thirty of the competition and we are half way through the second half of the season, there were no winners this weekend due to the International games being played over the weekend, so the £6 cash prize money has been Rolled over to next week. We have had a total of 31 winners to date this season. Even though we have just a few of our teams in action over the weekend, STEVE AYRES picked up the most number of goals with nine. They came from Peterborough 7 and Portsmouth 2. His third team Celtic had no game.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS

Only twenty-four of us picked up some goals this week due to the lack of games to Internationals this week. But now are looking at beating the highest midweek score of 136 goals set by Daryl Nicholls in the 2016/17 Season. We are also looking to beat the number of players to reach 100 midweek goals in a season. Last season we had a record breaking 51 players that reached the 100 or more midweek goals. This week we still have a total of six players that are on or over 100 goals. RAYMOND HARROD is still out in front with a total of 106 goals. His teams are Brentford, Celtic and Manchester City. SANSA-CLARA-LYANNA is second with a total of 105 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had a total of eighteen of our teams that played over the weekend and out of them, six failed to score any goals. This means that only twenty-six players managed to pick up any goals so the average score for this weekend is a flat zero. The Highest score that we had over the weekend was seven goals and they came from League One PETERBOROUGH who won 7-0 at home to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. With their highest result of the season, Peterborough are now on a total of 68 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games. Accrington picked up their tenth blank of the season.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS

Most of us once again picked up some goals this week but the race for the cash is now over for this season. In the end the 100 Midweek Goals Prize money of £40 was shared between RAYMOND HARROD and CHRIS SETFORD as both of them had Manchester City who scored five goals in their combo. Ray needed just two goals to win the cash as he was on 98 goals last week with Chris in second place needing five with his total of 95goals. So congratulation to the both of you and here is how the race for the cash finished. Ray and Chris will have their name in our record books for winning the cash in the shortest time of just 28 weeks. This beats the record of 31 weeks from the 2016/17 Season by Daryl Nicholls. So here is the top six and how they finished. RAYMOND HARROD finished top with a total of 104 goals. His teams are Brentford, Celtic and Manchester City. CHRIS SETFORD finished in second place with 100 goals. In third place was MARK GREGORY and SANSA-CLARA-LYANNA both with a total of 99 goals. In fourth place both with 98 goals we had MICHAEL JACOBSON and JAMES SOMERVILLE. In fifth place we had A&A. CLARK and MALCOLM STUBBS both with a total of 97 goals. In sixth place we had DEAN ZANIOUS with 96 goals. But the midweek goals does not stop here. We are now looking to beat the highest midweek score of 136 goals and for the number of players to reach 100 midweek goals this season.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had a total of eighteen of our teams without a game over the weekend with another sixteen that failed to score any goals.
