Leicester Drew with Wednesday

In the Championship, top of the table LEICESTER CITY drew 1-1 away to bottom of the table SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. City are on a total of 37 goals while Wednesday picked up their 11th goal. LEEDS UNITED won 3-1 at home to SWANSEA CITY and have taken their goals tally up to 34. Swansea are on 30 goals. SOUTHAMPTON won 1-0 at home to BRISTOL CITY and that is goal number 30 for them and have now extended their goal run to 11 league/cup games. Bristol picked up their eighth blank of the season. SUNDERLAND lost 2-1 at home to Huddersfield and are on 29 goals. IPSWICH won 3-1 at home to Millwall and they have taken their goals total to 47.

Big Night for Reading

In the Championship PLYMOUTH lost 1-0 away to Coventry and that is their fourth blank of the season. It’s 40 goals for MIDDLESBROUGH after they won 4-0 at home against Preston. STOKE lost 4-2 away to QPR and they are now on a total of 26 goals after they had failed to score in their last 3 league/cup games. NORWICH lost 3-2 away to Watford and are on a total of 35 goals and have now scored in all of their last 12 league/cup games. 

In League One BARNSLEY won 1-0 at home to Wycombe and are on a total of 42 goals. BLACKPOOL lost 2-1 at home to Northampton and are on a total of 37 goals. BRISTOL ROVERS drew 1-1 at home to Leyton Orient and picked up goal number 31 and have extended their goal run to 10 league/cup games. CHARLTON won 2-1 at home to Cheltenham and are on a total of 38 goals and a goal run of 6 league/cup games. DERBY won 1-0 away to Port Vale and are on a total of 34 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. PETERBOROUGH drew 2-2 away to Stevenage and are on a total of 47 goals and have now scored in all of their last 19 games.  READING picked up their biggest win of the season with a 5-1 home win against Carlisle and they have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. Reading are now second from bottom of the table after winning their fifth league game. 

In League Two AFC WIMBELDON lost 1-0 away to Gillingham and picked up their fifth blank of the season. WREXHAM drew 2-2 away to Harrogate and are on a total of 41 goals. MK DONS drew 1-1 at home to Grimsby and hit goal  number 33. NOTTS COUNTY won 3-1 at home to Crawley and have taken their goals tally up to 45 goals. SALFORD CITY drew 0-0 away to Stockport and picked up their sixth blank of the season. SUTTON UNITED drew 1-1 at home to Crewe and are on a total of 32 goals and have now scored in all of their last 10 league/cup games. Sutton still remain bottom of the table. 

Scottish Premiership after they had failed to score in their last three games, ROSS COUNTY won 1-0 at home against St Mirren. County are on a total of 30 goals.

In League One FALKIRK drew 0-0 away to Montrose and picked up their third blank of the season.

Week Seventeen

In Week Seventeen of the competition we had our third Rollover of the season worth £10 and that went to our 18th winner of the season with 11 goals. They are SCOTT THOMSON with his second selection. Scott started with Golden Goals back in the 2006/07 Season. In his first season he finished in the winning frame in 17th place with a total of 261 goals. For a few season’s now Scott has entered two selections. Last season his best was from his second selection in 41st place with 274 goals. His first selection finished in 63rd place with 256 goals. This season Scott has reach that number one spot at last. Not many of us have picked up goals in midweek and the race for the cash has not changed this week at all. Still out in front this week we have ANN WELLARD with a total of 41 goals. In second place we still have TONY KING with a total of 40 goals. In third place we still have our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY with a total of 37 goals. In fourth place we still have ANDY EYLES and MARK GREGORY both with a total of 36 goals. In fifth place we still have BAILEY MORAN and PETER PORTER both are on a total of 35 goals. In sixth place we have JAMES SOMERVILLE with a total of 34 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but five of our teams in action over the weekend and out of the ones that did play 5 failed to score any goals. We did not have a really good weekend for goals as the average score this weekend was just 4 goals.

The highest score that we had came from League Two where WREXHAM picked up their highest score of the season after they won 6-0 at home to Morecambe. Wrexham have taken their goals tally up to 39 goals.

Wrexham became our 99th voted English team back in our 2002/03 Season on where they finished on a total of 86 goals which is their best end of season total. Last time that we had Wrexham was back in the 2005/06 Season where they finished on a total of 62 goals. This is their third season with Golden Goals and over the season they have netted a total of 185 goals to date. That gives them an average score of 61 goals per season. This season they have a total of 9 votes and they have picked up just four blank score sheets. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

ARSENAL are top of the league after they won 1-0 away to Brentford which is their 29th goal of the season. MANCHESTER CITY are in second place after they drew 1-1 at home to LIVERPOOL. City are on a total of 33 goals while Liverpool have kept their 100% scoring record after 15 league/cup games. They are also on a total of 33 goals. WEST HAM won 2-1 away to bottom of the table Burnley and are on a total of 27 goals. CRYSTAL PALACE lost 2-1 away to Luton and are on a total of 17 goals. NEWCASTLE won 4-1 at home to CHELSEA and have taken their goals tally to 35. Chelsea hit goal number 27. NOTTINGHAM FOREST lost 3-2 at home to BRIGHTON and are on a total of 16 goals while Brighton are now on a total of 28 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. BOURNEMOUTH won 3-1 away to Sheffield United and are now on a total of 20 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. TOTTENHAM lost 2-1 at home to ASTON VILLA and are on a total of 26 goals and have managed to keep their 100% scoring record after a total of 14 league/cup games. Villa are on a total of 32 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED won 3-0 away to Everton and are now on a total of 19 goals.

CHAMPIONSHIP

LEICESTER CITY are still top here after they won 2-0 at home against Watford. Leicester are on a total of 36 goals. IPSWICH TOWN are in second place after they lost 2-0 away to West Brom. After they had scored in all of their 20 league/cup games, Ipswich pick up their first blank of the season. BRISTOL CITY won 3-2 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH and they are now on  a total of 24 goals. Brough are on a total of 36 goals. SOUTHAMPTON drew 1-1 away to Huddersfield and that is goal number 29 for them. NORWICH won 1-0 at home to QPR and are on a total of 33 goals. PLYMOUTH won 2-0 at home to SUNDERLAND and are on a total of 33 goals. Sunderland picked up their sixth blank of the season. STOKE lost 3-0 at home to Blackburn Rovers and that is their tenth blank of the season and now 3 games in a row without a goal. SWANSEA drew 2-2 at home to Hull and are on a total of 29 goals. Bottom of the table SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY lost 2-1 away to Birmingham and that is goal number 10 after they had failed to score in their last two games.

LEAGUE ONE

PETERBOROUGH are our highest team here in fifth place. They won 4-0 at home to Burton. Peterborough are doing really well on the goals front as they are now on a total of 45 goals with 14 of them coming from their last four games. CHARLTON drew 1-1 away to Carlisle and they are on a total of 36 goals. DERBY won 2-1 at home to BRISTOL ROVERS and are on a total of 33 goals and a goal run of 7 league/cup games. Rovers are on a total of 30 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 9 league/cup games. BARNSLEY drew 2-2 away to Lincoln City. Barnsley are on a total of 41 goals. BLACKPOOL won 4-0 away to Portsmouth and they have taken their goals tally to 36. Bottom of the table READING, won 2-1 away to Wycombe and they are on a total of 26 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. That was Readings fourth league win of the season.

LEAGUE TWO

Wrexham have moved up to second place after their big win with NOTTS COUNTY down to sixth place. They lost 4-2 away to AFC WIMBLEDON. County are on a total of 42 goals while Wimbledon have taken their goals total to 37 goals. SUTTON UNITED drew 1-1 away to Grimsby and are on a total of 31 goals and have extended their goal run to 9 league/cup games. SALFORD CITY lost 4-2 at home to MK DONS and are on a total of 39 goals. The Dons are now on a total of 32 goals.

SCOTTISH RESULTS

In the SCOTTISH CUP third round we had another 3 of our teams in action. The good news is that they are all through to the next round. They are FALKIRK who won 3-0 at home to non-league Formartine United and are now on a total of 42 goals. KELTY HEARTS won 2-0 away to Hamilton and they are on a total of 35 goals. COVE RANGERS won 2-0 away to Stirling and are on a total of 34 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 10 league/cup games.

In the Premiership top of the table CELTIC drew 1-1 at home to Motherwell and are on a total of 35 goals. Second place RANGERS drew 1-1 away to ABERDEEN with a very late penalty. They are now 8 points behind leaders Celtic. They have extended their goal run to 11 league/cup games and have a total of 36 goals. Aberdeen are on a total of 20 goals. HIBERNIAN won 2-1 away to Dundee and are on a total of 26 goals. ROSS COUNTY drew 0-0 at home to KILMARNOCK and picked up their seventh blank of the season and now they have failed to score in their last 3 games. Kilmarnock picked up their fourth blank and now two in a row.

Our worst performing team is SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY this week as they have picked up 11 blank score sheets out of their 19 league/cup games.

Our highest goal scoring team in our 41st Season are NEWCASTLE UNITED after they won 8-0 away to Sheffield United in Week Eight. BARNSLEY and BRISTOL ROVERS have both pick up our second highest score with 7 goals. Barnsley won 7-0 at home to Port Vale in the first league game of the season in Week One. Bristol Rovers won 7-2 at home to non-league Whitby Town in the first round of the FA CUP in Week Fourteen.

SCOTT THOMSON (2) now becomes our fifth player to reach number one this season. Scott picked up a total of 11 goals this week from his second selection of Celtic 1, Peterborough 4, Wrexham 6. Lucifer (John Wood) moves down to second place this week and 3 goals behind Scott, as he picked up a total of just 3 goals from the weekend. Lucifer’s teams are Ipswich, Manchester City and Salford City.

At the other end at 110 we still have our 2012/13 Champion ALICE STUBBS  with her first selection. Alice picked up just 3 goals all coming from the weekend and has now been there for 3 weeks. Alice has Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton. 

It's all change in our top ten this weekend and the race to be our 41st Champion is still out there to have.

Leeds in Third Place

In the English Championship LEEDS UNITED drew 1-1 away to Rotherham and picked up goal number 31.

In the SCOTTISH CUP third round, we had just one of our teams to start this round off and they were CLYDE. They won 2-0 at home to non-league Jeanfield Swifts. Clyde are on a total of 19 goals.

East Fife Lost Again

In the Scottish League Two, EAST FIFE lost 4-2 away to Bonnyrigg Rose and are now on a total of 20 goals. That's now six goals in their last two games.

Week Sixteen

In Week Sixteen of the competition we had no prize money this weekend due to the Internationals being played. So next weekend we will have our third Rollover of the season worth £10.

In third place we still have our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY now with a total of 37 goals. In fourth place we still have ANDY EYLES and MARK GREGORY. Both now with a total of 36 goals. In fifth place we still have PETER PORTER but he is now joined with BAILEY MORAN moving up from sixth place. Both are on a total of 35 goals. In sixth place we now have JAMES SOMERVILLE coming back in to the race with a total of 34 goals.   

WEEKEND RESULTS

Most of us picked up yet another blank weekend score sheet as we had just 10 of teams in action over the weekend. Out of them we had 2 of them that failed to score any goals.   

LEAGUE ONE

We had just one of our teams that managed to play over the weekend and they were BLACKPOOL who won 4-0 at home to Shrewsbury. That is their second game of the season where they have netted four goals in a game. Blackpool have taken their goals tally to 32. 

LEAGUE TWO

NOTTS COUNTY have moved up to third place after they won 4-2 at home to Bradford and have now scored a total of 40 goals. WREXHAM lost 2-0 away to Accrington Stanley. After they had scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games, Wrexham picked up their fourth blank of the season. SALFORD CITY lost 3-1 away to Gillingham and are on a total of 37 goals. SUTTON UNITED drew 1-1 at home to Tranmere and picked up goal number 30 and they have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games.   

SCOTTISH RESULTS

In League One Falkirk are still top here after they had no game this week. KELTY HEARTS won 3-1 away to Queen of South. Kelty are now on a total of 33 goals. COVE RANGERS won 3-1 at home against Stirling and are now on a total of 32 goals. They have now scored in all of their last 9 league/cup games. 

In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR go to the top of the table after they won 3-0 away to Stranraer. Stenhousemuir are now on a total of 28 goals. CLYDE lost 4-0 at home to EAST FIFE and picked up their seventh blank of the season and are bottom of the league. After they had failed to score in their last three games, Fife are now on a total of 18 goals.

At the other end at 110 we still have our 2012/13 Champion ALICE STUBBS  Our Champion with her first selection, did not have any of her teams in action this week. Alice has Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton.

Charlton's Big Six in Cup Replay

In the last replay game of the FA CUP first round, CHARLTON are through to the season round after they won 6-1 away to non-league Cray Valley Paper Mills. With their biggest result of the season, Charlton have taken their goals total up to 35.

FA CUP 1st Round Replays

 

In the FA CUP first round replays we had four of our teams in action. Out of them, only two have made it to the second round. They are BARNSLEY who won 3-0 away to non-league Horsham and they have taken their goals total to 39. PETERBOROUGH drew 4-4 against SALFORD CITY after extra time and then went on to win 5-4 on penalties. Borough have now taken their goals tally to 41 goals and have now scored in all of their last 17 league/cup games. Salford are now on a total of 36 goals. DERBY are also out of the FA Cup after they lost 3-1 at home to Crewe. Derby are on a total of 31 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. 

In the Scottish League One, COVE RANGERS won 1-0 at home to Montrose and picked up goal number 29 and they have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. 

In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR won 2-0 at home to Peterhead and are now on a total of 25 goals.

Week Fifteen

In Week Fifteen of the competition we have had our 17th winner of the season winning on a total of 14 goals which is the second highest winning score this season. The full £5 Weekend Prize Money went to JAMIE WOOD with his personal best weekend score.

Jamie started  with us back in the 2015/16 Season on where he finished the season in the winning frame in 12th place with a total of 278 goals. He also picked up one shared weekend win. Last season James finished in 67th place with 255 goals and again with one shared weekend win. This weekend we can see James at his highest position to date. He has had a total of three blank score sheets with Peterborough being his best team. Here are his winning teams

The players that picked up the most amount of goals was TONY KING and STEVE STUBBS with a total of 5 goals each. Tony has Chelsea, Peterborough and Rangers, while Steve has Celtic, Chelsea and Reading.

ANN WELLARD has taken the lead this week now with a total of 38 goals. In second place we now have TONY KING moving up from fourth place with 36 goals. In third place we now have our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY moving down from one last week. In fourth place we now have ANDY EYLES and MARK GREGORY both moving down from second place. Both are still on a total of 33 goals. In fifth place down from three is PETER PORTER still with a total of 32 goals. In sixth place we now have CHARLIE FARLEY (John Wood) down from fourth place with BAILEY MORAN moving down from fifth place. GOEFF CARTHY moves back in to the race this week. All three are on a total of 31 goals.   

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all of teams in action over the weekend but we had 14 of them failed to score any goals. All of us managed to pick up some goals this weekend as the average score went up from six goals from last weekend to 8 goals. So if you received more than that from your teams, well done.

The highest score that we had this weekend was 6 goals and they came the Scottish Premiership where CELTIC won 6-0 at home to ABERDEEN with three of their goals being scored in time added on. With there biggest result of the season, Celtic are now on a total of 34 goals. Aberdeen picked up their sixth blank of the season.

Celtic are from our original starting season of 1983/84 where they became our second Scottish team after Aberdeen. In our first season, Celtic finished on a total of 116 goals. Their biggest end of season score came in our last season of 2022/23 with a record braking 143 goals. This was their 21st time out of 41 Seasons that Celtic have netted 100 or more goals, so you can see why they are a very popular team to pick. This season they have a total of 39 votes and they have picked up just three blank score sheets. Over the years they have netted a total of 3985 goals which gives them an average score of 97 goals per season to date.

MANCHESTER CITY are still on top after they drew 4-4 away to CHELSEA. City have taken their goal tally to 32 while Chelsea are now on a total of 26 goals. LIVERPOOL have moved up to second place after they won 3-0 at home to Brentford. Liverpool have kept their 100% scoring record after 14 league/cup games and are on a total of 32 goals. TOTTENHAM lost 2-1 away to Wolves and are on a total of 25 goals and have now scored in all of their 13 league/cup games. ARSENAL are now on a total of 28 goals after they won 3-1 at home to Burnley. NOTTS COUNTY picked up their fourth blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 away to Crewe. MK DONS drew 0-0 away to Newport and that is their fifth blank of the season. SALFORD CITY lost 2-1 at home to Mansfield and are on a total of 32 goals. 

SCOTTISH RESULTS

In the Premiership Celtic are still top of the table this weekend after their biggest win to date. RANGERS in second place won 2-0 away to Livingston and are on a total of 35 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 10 league/cup games. ROSS COUNTY lost 1-0 away to St Johnston and picked up their sixth blank of the season and now two in a row. HIBERNIAN won 1-0 at home against KILMARNOCK and are on a total of 27 goals. Kilmarnock after a goal run of 9 league/cup games, picked up their third blank of the season. 

League One FALKIRK are still top here after they won 2-1 at home to Edinburgh City. Falkirk are on a total of 39 goals. KELTY HEARTS lost 1-0 at home to COVE RANGERS and picked up their third blank of the season after they had scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. Rangers are on a total of 28 goals and have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. 

League Two STENHOUSEMUIR won 3-2 at home to The Spartans and they are now on a total of 23 goals and in third place in the league. CLYDE drew 1-1 away to Forfar and are on a total of 17 goals. EAST FIFE lost 1-0 at home to Dumbarton and picked up their ninth blank score sheet and now three games with out a goal.

Our worst performing team is SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY this weekend as they have picked up 11 blank score sheets out of their 18 league/cup games. 

Our highest goal scoring team in our 41st Season are NEWCASTLE UNITED after they won 8-0 away to Sheffield United in Week Eight. BARNSLEY and BRISTOL ROVERS have both pick up our second highest score with 7 goals. Barnsley won 7-0 at home to Port Vale in the first league game of the season in Week One. Bristol Rovers won 7-2 at home to non-league Whitby Town in the first round of the FA CUP in Week Fourteen.

LUCIFER (John Wood) now celebrates his second weekend at number one. John picked up a total of 10 goals this week from his selection of Ipswich, Manchester City and Salford City. Nora Hammond move up to second place and just one goal behind John, as she picked up a total of 10 goals from the week. Nora teams are Arsenal, Ipswich and Rangers.  

At the other end at 110 we now have our 2012/13 Champion ALICE STUBBS who becomes the ninth player to do so, Our Champion with her first selection, picked up a total of 8 goals this week. Alice has Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton. 

We had a great week for goals this week and it has changed things around here in our top ten. WE now have a total of sixteen players that have now reach the 100 goals.

Just a Point for Ipswich

In the Championship IPSWICH drew 2-2 away to Rotherham and are on a total of 41 goals and have extended their 100% scoring record to 19 league/cup games. 

In League One PETERBOROUGH lost 2-1 away to Wigan and are on a total of 32 goals and have extended their goal run to 15 league/cup games. READING drew 1-1 at home to BRISTOL ROVERS. Reading are on a total of 22 goals while Rovers picked up their 28th goal of the season.

Tottenham in Second Place

In the Premier League CHELSEA beat nine man TOTTENHAM 4-1 away and now takes their goals total to 22. Tottenham are still in second place in the league and it’s their first defeat of the season. Tottenham are on a total of 24 goals and keep their 100% scoring record after 12 league/cup games.

Week Fourteen

In Week Fourteen of the competition we have had our 16th winner of the season winning on a total of 15 goals which is the highest winning score this season. The full £5 went to JOHN NICHOLLS with his personal best weekend score. John started with Golden Goals back in the 2005/06 Season on where he finished in 49th place with a total of 240 goals. He picked up two weekend wins and his teams then was Chelsea, Liverpool and Rangers. Last season John finished in at the bottom in 108th place with just 157 goals. In fact John holds the record for finishing rock bottom for four seasons. John’s first season was in 2008/09 then again in the 2014/15, 2020/21 and 2022/23 Seasons. This season we have seen John at the bottom of the table for four weeks. His highest this season is 85th place in Week One. He has picked up just two blank score sheets. His best team is Manchester City. Here are his winning teams

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Most of us picked up some goals in midweek and the race for the cash has changed slightly again this week. The players that picked up the most amount of goals was BARBARA BARNES (2) and ZIGGY (John Wood) with a total of 11 goals each. Barbara has Charlton, Newcastle and Rangers, while Ziggy has Derby, Liverpool and Rangers.

So the leaders have changed with our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY moving up from second place and ANN WELLARD from fifth place. Both are on a total of 34 goals. In second place we now have ANDY EYLES moving down from first place and MARK GREGORY moving up from fourth place. Both are now on a total of 33 goals. Remaining in third place we still have PETER PORTER with a total of 32 goals. In fourth place we now have CHARLIE FARLEY (John Wood) down from second place with TONY KING moving up from five. Both are now on a total of 31 goals. In fifth place we have BAILEY MORAN moving down from first place with our 2015/16 Champion RICHARD WILLIAMS down from two. Both have a total of 30 goals. In sixth place we now have JAMES SOMERVILLE down from third place with a total of 29 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had five teams that had no game this weekend and out of the ones that did play, 10 of them failed to score any goals. Most of us managed to pick up some goals this weekend as the average score for the second weekend running remained at 6 goals. So if you received more than that from your teams, well done.

The highest score that we had this weekend was 7 goals and they came the the FA CUP first round where BRISTOL ROVERS won 7-2 at home to non-league Whitby Town. Rovers with their biggest win of the season, are now on a total of 27 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games.

Rovers became our 44th voted English team in our third Season of 1985/86 on where they finished the season on a total of 65 goals. We had to wait till the 2016/17 Season for them to pick up their highest score of 77 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 59 goals. This is their 18th appearance with Golden Goals and over the seasons they have netted a total of 1059 goals. That now gives them an average score of 58 goals per season. This season they have just 1 vote and they have picked up a total of three blank score sheets after 16 games played. 

FA  CUP First Round

We had 12 of our teams in this round and only 7 have made it through to the next round. They are Bristol Rovers as above, with AFC WIMBLEDON after they won 5-1 at home to Cheltenham Town. Wimbledon with their highest result of the season are now on a total of 31 goals. NOTTS COUNTY won 3-2 at home to Crawley Town and are now on a total of 36 goals. READING won 3-2 at home to MK DONS and are now on a total of 21 goals while the Dons are on 28 goals. SUTTON UNITED won 2-1 at home to non-league AFC Fylde and are on a total of 28 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. BLACKPOOL won 2-0 away to non-league Bromley and are no a total of 28 goals and have now scored in all of their last 10 league/cup games. WREXHAM won 2-1 away to Mansfield Town and are on a total of 31 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games.

In replays we have PETERBOROUGH who drew 2-2 at home to SALFORD CITY. Borough are on a total of 31 goals and have now scored in all of their last 14 league/cup games.Salford are also on a total of 31goals. DERBY drew 2-2 away to Crewe and are on a total of 27 goals. CHARLTON drew 1-1 at home to non-league Cray Valley Paper Mills and are on a total of 27 goals 

PREMIER LEAGUE

MANCHESTER CITY are back on top for now after they won 6-1 at home to AFC BOURNEMOUTH. With their biggest result of the season, City are now on a total of 28 goals Bournemouth hit goal number 15. Tottenham are down to second place as they had no game this weekend. FULHAM lost 1-0 at home to MANCHESTER UNITED and picked up their fifth blank of the season. United picked up goal number 15 after they had failed to score in their previous 2 games. WEST HAM lost 3-2 away to Brentford and are on a total of 22 goals. CRYSTAL PALACE won 2-0 away to Burnley and are on a total of 14 goals. BRIGHTON drew 1-1 away to Everton and are on 24 goals. NEWCASTLE won 1-0 at home to ARSENAL and are on a total of 31 goals and have now scored in all of their last 11 league/cup games. Arsenal after a goal run of 12 games, picked up their very first blank of the season. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 2-0 at home to ASTON VILLA and have taken their goals tally to 12. Villa after a goal run of 7 league/cup games, picked up their second blank of the season. LIVERPOOL drew 1-1 away to Luton with a late goal. Liverpool have kept their 100% scoring record after 13 league/cup games and are on a total of 29 goals. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

Leicester City are still top after their defeat on Friday night. IPSWICH are in second place and now 4 points behind City, drew 2-2 away to Birmingham and are on a total of 39 goals and have kept their 100% scoring record after 18 league/cup games. After they had failed to score in their last 2 games, BRISTOL CITY won 1-0 at home to bottom of the table SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. City are on a total of 20 goals while Wednesday picked up their tenth blank of the season and now just 2 goals in their last 8 league/cup games. SOUTHAMPTON won 1-0 away to Millwall and are now on a total of 26 goals and have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. PLYMOUTH drew 3-3 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH and have taken their goals tally up to 30 goals while Brough are now on a total of 33 goals. STOKE drew 0-0 at home against Cardiff and that is their eighth blank of the season. SWANSEA drew 0-0 at home to SUNDERLAND and they have now had a total of three blank score sheet while Sunderland, picked up their fifth. NORWICH lost 3-1 away to Blackburn Rovers. Norwich are on a total of 29 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 9 league/cup games,

In the Scottish League Cup Semi-Finals we had just 3 of our teams in action, HIBERNIAN lost 1-0 at home to ABERDEEN and picked up their fourth blank of the season. Aberdeen are on a total of 19 goals. RANGERS won 3-1 away to Hearts and are now on a total of 33 goals and have extended their goal run to 9 league/cup games. Rangers will play Aberdeen in the final on 17 December. 

In the Premiership top of the table CELTIC won 3-0 away to ROSS COUNTY. Celtic are on a total of 28 goals while County picked up their fifth blank of the season. KILMARNOCK won 1-0 at home to Motherwell and are on a total of 26 goals and they have also now scored in all of their last 9 league/cup games.

KELTY HEARTS drew 2-2 away to Annan and are on a total of 30 goals and have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. COVE RANGERS won 1-0 at home to Hamilton and they are on a total of 27 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games.

Once again we had a brilliant weekend for goals and so there is a slight change in the top ten this weekend.
