Swansea Still in 15th Place

In the Championship SWANSEA went a goal up but drew 1-1 at home to Rotherham Utd and picked up goal number 51. 

Here is our up to date list of our six top teams in our 40th Season of Golden Goals. The goals come from League games, FA Cup and League Cup. Scottish teams are also from their League and their two domestic cups.

Week Thirty-One

Here we are with Week Thirty-One of the competition and we had three players to share the cash prize money of £5 this week. All of our winners are first timers for this season and so we now have a total of 31 winners. Our winners are PHIL COLLINS, STALKY (Bob Burgin) with his second combination and TIM WOOD all won on a score of 9 goals each. 

Phil started with us back in the 2004/05 Season on where he finished in 45th place with a total of 266 goals. He did manage to pick up one weekend win. Although Phil has not been in every season, he has been in most of them. Last season Phil finished in 44th place with 278 goals. This season Phil has been as high as 34th place in Week One. He has picked up a total of five blank weekend score sheets. 

Bob Joined Golden Goals back in the 2000/01 Season on where he finished in 38th place with a total of 266 goals. Last season he finished in 82nd place with 243 goals. This season Bob has been as high as 55th place in Week One. He has picked up four blank weekend score sheets.

It was the 1996/97 Season that Tim joined in and he finished in 43rd place with a total of 251 goals. Last season he finished in 83rd place with 243 goals. This season the highest that Tim has been is 16th place in Week Ten. He has picked up a total of five blank weekend score sheets. Our winners teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Only 30 of us have managed to pick up some midweek goals again this week with another big change in the leading pack this week for the £40 cash prize money. Leading the race this week we now have NICK HORTON who moves up from third place now with a total of 74 goals. His teams are Manchester City, Middlesbrough and Norwich. In second place is last weeks leader JAMES BLYTH with a total of 73 goals. In third place with a total of 72 goals we have  COLIN WEBB down from two. In fourth place we still have TOBY BICKNELL our 2014/15 Champion, CHRIS DICKER and (me) STEVE REEVE. We are now joined with MARK GREGORY and RICKY WOOD our 2007/08 Champion. All of us have a total of 70 goals. In fifth place we still have FIONA CARHTY with a total of 69 goals. In sixth place we still have CHRIS NUNN on a total of 68 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but five of our teams in action and out of the the ones that did play, 14 failed to score any goals. We once again had a good week for goals as the average score has remained at 5 goals this weekend for the third week running. So if you did better than that, well done. The highest score that we had came from two of our teams with 5 goals each. They were PETERBOROUGH and SALFORD CITY.

LEAGUE CUP FINAL

We had both of the teams in the final but it was MANCHESTER UNITED who picked up the cup after they won 2-0 against NEWCASTLE. United are on a total of 63 goals and a goal run of 23 games. Newcastle picked up their 9th blank of the season and now two games in a row with out a goal.

PREMIER LEAGUE

ARSENAL are still top of the table after they won 1-0 away to LEICESTER CITY. Arsenal are now on a total of 56 goals while Leicester picked up their 10th blank of the season and now two in a row.  MANCHESTER CITY are still in second place after they won 4-1 away to BOURNEMOUTH. City have taken their goals tally to 74 while Bournemouth picked up their 30th goal of the season. Manchester United are still in third place with TOTTENHAM still in fourth place after they won 2-0 at home against London rivals CHELSEA. Tottenham are on a total of 50 goals and a goal run of seven games. Chelsea picked up their 11th blank of the season and now two in a row and just three goals in their last nine games. ASTON VILLA won 2-0 away to EVERTON and are on a total of 37 goals and a goal run of 13 games. Everton picked up their 10th blank score sheet and now just two goals in their last five games. After a two game dry spell, LEEDS UNITED won 1-0 at home to Southampton and are on a total of 42 goals. WEST HAM picked up their biggest result of the season after they won 4-0 at home to Nottingham Forest. West Ham have taken their goals total to 28. CRYSTAL PALACE picked up their 11th blank of the season after they drew 0-0 at home to LIVERPOOL. Liverpool have now had a total of seven blank score sheets.

CHAMPIONSHIP

Top of the table BURNLEY won 4-0 at home to HUDDERSFIELD and they have taken their goals tally to 78 goals and a goal run of 7 games. Huddersfield  picked up their 14th blank of the season. SHEFFIELD UNITED in second place won 1-0 at home to WATFORD. United are now on a total of 63 goals. Watford have now had a total of 12 blank score sheets.

In the Play-Offs MIDDLESBROUGH are still in third place after they lost 2-0 away to WEST BROM. Brough picked up blank number eight. West Brom are on a total of 50 goals. LUTON are down to sixth place after they won 1-0 away to Birmingham. Luton hit goal number 47.

Meanwhile SUNDERLAND lost 2-1 away to Coventry. Sunderland are on a total of 54 goals and a goal run of 18 games. NORWICH won 2-0 at home to Cardiff and are on a total of 52 goals. READING are now on a total of 42 goals after they won 3-1 at home against Blackpool.

LEAGUE ONE

Top of the table SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY won 1-0 away to CHARLTON and they are on a total of 72 goals. Charlton picked up their 9th blank of the season and now two games in a row. PLYMOUTH are still in second place after they lost 5-2 away to PETERBOROUGH. Plymouth are on a total of 60 goals while Borough picked up their biggest win of the season and they have taken their goals tally to 59.

In the Play-Offs we still have IPSWICH in third place as they won 1-0 away to MK DONS. Ipswich have taken their goals tally to 73 goals. MK Dons picked up their 15th blank of the season. DERBY are down to sixth place after they lost 4-1 away to Barnsley. Derby are on a total of 66 goals.

Meanwhile BRISTOL ROVERS won 3-0 away to OXFORD UNITED and have taken their goals tally to 48. Oxford picked up their 14th blank score sheet and now two in a row. After a two game dry spell for goals, FOREST GREEN ROVERS drew 1-1 at home to LINCOLN CITY and they are on a total of 33 goals. Lincoln are on a total of 39 goals.

LEAGUE TWO

The highest teams that we have in this league are all in the Play-Offs. They are STOCKPORT COUNTY now in fifth place after a goal run of six games, they lost 1-0 away to Barrow. Stockport have picked up their 7th blank of the season. SALFORD CITY are up to sixth place after they picked up their biggest win of the season with a 5-2 away win against MANSFIELD TOWN. Salford have taken their goals tally up to 48 goals while Mansfield take their goals total to 54 and a goal run of 11 games but they are down to seventh place this weekend.

Meanwhile CRAWLEY TOWN second from bottom lost 5-2 at home to Carlisle and they are on a total of 39 goals. It’s 40 goals for BRADFORD CITY  after they won 1-0 away to Doncaster. GILLINGHAM are doing well now as they win 2-1 at home to AFC WIMBELDON. Gillingham are on a total of 30 goals while Wimbledon picked up goal number 37. SUTTON UNITED won 2-0 away to Newport and they are on a total of 36 goals. SWINDON won 3-0 at home to Harrogate and are now on a total of 43 goals.

SCOTTISH LEAGUE RESULTS

In the Scottish League Cup Final, Champions CELTIC who were last season’s holders, have done it once more as they beat RANGERS 2-1. Celtic have taken their goals total to 104 goals and a goal run of 24 games. Rangers are on 72 goals and a goal run of 25 games.

In the Premiership ABERDEEN won 1-0 at home to Livingston to take their goals total to 61.

In League One ALLOA won 1-0 at home to Montrose and they are on a total of 51 goals. KELTY HEARTS drew 1-1 away to Peterhead and they are now on a total of 34 goals.

In League Two BONNYRIGG ROSE lost 1-0 at home to STENHOUSEMUIR and picked up their 8th blank of the season. Stenhousemuir are on a total of 53 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 25 games.

Our best performing team are RANGERS as they have now scored in all of their last 25  league/cup games played. They have a total of 72 goals. That still gives them an average score of 2.2 goals per game.    

Our worst performing team is GILLINGHAM as they have picked up a total of 20 blank score sheets out of 40 League/Cup games played.     

Our highest goal scorers in our 40th Season are CELTIC who won 9-0 away to Dundee Utd in the league and LIVERPOOL who won 9-0 at home to Bournemouth in the league both from Week Five. 

Our 2010/11 Champion TONY GUY with combo two, has remained at the top for his 18th consecutive weekend. Tony picked up 4 goals this week from Arsenal, Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday and he is now just 2 goals in frontMark Gregory is back in second place this weekend as he picked up a total of 11 goals from his combination of Celtic, Manchester City and Norwich.

At the other end at 108 we have back down SANDRA NICHOLLS as she picked up just 2 goals for the week. Sandra’s teams are Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Leicester City. Sandra has now been here for a total of 16 weeks throughout the season. 

As you can see that there is a slight change in our top ten this weekend.

Fulham Pick up point

In the Premier League FULHAM came back from a goal down in the first half to draw 1-1 at home to Wolves. Fulham are on a total of 42 goals and remain in 6th place in the league.

A Draw for Top of the Table Burnley

In the Championship top of the table BURNLEY drew 1-1 away to Millwall to take their goals tally to 74 and a goal run of six games. NORWICH won 3-1 at home to Birmingham and they are now on a total of 50 goals. SUNDERLAND lost 2-1 away to Rotherham and picked up goal number 53. It’s 50 goals for SWANSEA after they lost 3-1 at home to Stoke.

In League Two STOCKPORT COUNTY won 2-1 away to Rochdale and they are on a total of 59 goals and a goal run of six games. They are now in fourth place in the league.

In the Championship WATFORD are back in the play-offs as they win 3-2 at home against WEST BROM. Watford are now on a total of 41 goals while West Brom are on 48 goals.

Week Thirty

Here we are with Week Thirty of the competition and we are half-way through the season half of the season. We had just one player to win the cash prize money of £5 this week. Our winner becomes our 28th winner of the season and it goes to our 2010/11 Champion TONY GUY with his second combination.

Tony started with us back in the 2010/11 Season on where he became Champion in his very first season with Golden Goals. He won on a score of 307 goals which leaves him in 22nd place in our Champions League. Last season he had three combo’s and it was his second one that finished in the winning frame in 23rd place with a total of 295 goals. His first combo finished in 69th place with 255 goals while his third finished in 64th place with 258 goals. He had just one weekend win worth £10. This season his second combo has done the best for him. It has only picked up two blank score sheets to date. His wining teams are

In second place is last weeks leader COLIN WEBB now on a total of 72 goals. In third place with a total of 71 goals we have NICK HORTON rejoining the race. In fourth place this week we have (me) STEVE REEVE down from second place, CHRIS DICKER moves up from fifth place and TOBY BICKNELL our 2014/15 Champion moving up from sixth place. All of us have a total of 70 goals. In fifth place both down from four we have FIONA CARHTY with a total of 69 goals. In sixth place all with a total of 68 goals we have CHRIS NUNN coming back in to the race.

The highest result that we had came from League One where SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY won 5-2 at home to MK DONS. Wednesday have taken their goals tally to 71 goals, while MK Dons are on a total of 43 goals.

Sheffield Wednesday became our 21st voted English team back in our very first season of 1983/84. In that season they finished on a total of 95 goals. Their best score came in the 1990/91 Season with 101 goals. It’s the only time that Wednesday have scored 100 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 81 goals. This is their 19th Season with Golden goals and over that time they have netted a total of 1459 goals. That gives them an average score of 76 goals per season. This season they have picked up just five blank score sheets and they have a total of 9 votes. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

It’s all go here as ARSENAL moved back to the top of the table after they won 4-2 away to ASTON VILLA. Arsenal are now on a total of 55 goals while Villa are on 35 goals and a goal run of 12 games. MANCHESTER CITY are back in second place after they drew 1-1 away to Nottingham Forest. City picked up goal number 70. MANCHESTER UNITED are still in third place after they won 3-0 at home to LEICESTER CITY. United are now on a total of 61 goals and a goal run of 22 games. Leicester picked up their 9th blank of the season. TOTTENHAM have moved up to fourth place after they beat London rivals WEST HAM 2-0 at home. Tottenham are on a total of 48 goals and a goal run of six games. West Ham picked up their 10th blank of the season. CRYSTAL PALACE drew 1-1 away to Brentford and they are on a total of 24 goals. BRIGHTON lost 1-0 at home to FULHAM and that is their 6th blank score sheet after a goal run of nine games. Fulham hit goal number 41. CHELSEA lost 1-0 at home to Southampton and that is their 10th blank of the season and now just three goals in their last 8 games. It’s 20 goals for EVERTON as they win 1-0 at home to LEEDS UNITED. Leeds picked up their 19th blank score sheet and now two games in a row. BOURNEMOUTH won 1-0 away to Wolves and they are on a total of 29 goals. NEWCASTLE lost 2-0 at home to LIVERPOOL. Newcastle have now had a total of eight blank score sheets while Liverpool are on a total of 44 goals. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

Top of the table BURNLEY won 1-0 away to LUTON and they have taken their goals tally to 73 goals. Luton picked up their 9th blank of the season. SHEFFIELD UNITED in second place lost 3-2 away to Millwall. United are now on a total of 62 goals.

In the Play-Offs MIDDLESBROUGH are still in third place after they won 3-1 at home to QPR. Brough are now on a total of 57 goals and have now scored a total of 12 goals in their last four games. Luton are still in fourth place with SUNDERLAND now in fifth place after they drew again, 1-1 at home to Bristol City. Sunderland are on a total of 52 goals and a goal run of 16 games. 

Meanwhile SWANSEA lost 1-0 away to Blackburn and that is their 9th blank of the season. HUDDERSFIELD won 2-1 at home to Birmingham and are on a total of 32 goals after a two game dry spell for goals. NORWICH drew 0-0 away to Wigan and that is their 10th blank of the season. 

LEAGUE ONE

It’s all change here too as Sheffield Wednesday have moved to the top on goal difference after their win. PLYMOUTH have dropped down to second place after they drew 0-0 at home to Fleetwood. Plymouth have picked up their 6th blank score sheet.

In the Play-Offs we still have IPSWICH in third place as they won 4-0 at home to FOREST GREEN ROVERS. Ipswich have taken their goals tally to 72 goals. Rovers picked up their 14th blank and now two games in a row without a goal. In fact they have scored just two goals in their last six games and bottom of the league. DERBY are still in fifth place after they won 2-0 at home to CHARLTON. Derby are on a total of 65 goals while Charlton picked up their 8th blank score sheet.

Meanwhile BRISTOL ROVERS lost 2-1 at home to Burton and they are on a total of 45 goals after a dry run of three games. OXFORD UNITED picked up their 13th blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 away to Cambridge Utd. LINCOLN CITY drew 0-0 at home to Portsmouth and that is their 13th blank of the season. After they had failed to score in their last two games, PETERBOROUGH won 3-0 away to Morecambe. Borough are now on a total of 54 goals. 

LEAGUE TWO

The highest teams that we have in this league are all in the Play-Offs. They are MANSFIELD TOWN now in fifth place after they won 2-0 away to Tranmere. Mansfield are now on a total of 52 goals and a goal run of 10 games. STOCKPORT COUNTY are up to sixth place after they won 2-0 at home to Stevenage. Stockport have taken their goals tally to 57. SALFORD CITY are down to seventh place after they lost 2-1 at home against SWINDON. Salford hit goal number 42 while Swindon are now on 40 goals.

Meanwhile AFC WIMBELDON drew 2-2 at home to Hartlepool and after picking up just one goal in their last six games, Wimbledon are now on a total of 36 goals. BRADFORD CITY lost 1-0 at home to Barrow and that is their 11th blank of the season. CRAWLEY TOWN lost 1-0 to top of the table Leyton Orient at home. Cralwey are second from bottom and it was their 10th blank of the season. GILLINGHAM won 2-0 away to Rochdale and they are on a total of 28 goals.  SUTTON UNITED won 2-0 at home to Doncaster and they are on a total of 34 goals. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUE RESULTS

In the Premiership Champions CELTIC won 4-0 at home to ABERDEEN. Celtic become our first team in our 40th Season to hit 100 once again as they have taken their goals tally up to 102 goals. Celtic have now scored in all of their last 23 games. Aberdeen picked up their 8th blank of the season. Second place RANGERS won 3-0 away to Livingston and are on a total of 71 goals and a goal run of 24 games. HEARTS in third place lost 2-0 away to Motherwell. Hearts have now had a total of nine blank score sheets. HIBERNIAN won 2-0 at home to Kilmarnock and have taken their goals total of 49.

In League One ALLOA lost 1-0 away to Falkirk and they have now had a total of eight blank score sheets. KELTY HEARTS won 3-0 at home to Queen of South and they are now on a total of 33 goals.

In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR won 2-0 at home against Albion and they are on a total of 52 goals and they have now scored in all of their last 24 games.

Another Blank for Reading

In the Championship, READING played their second game in midweek and lost 1-0 away to Cardiff City. Reading have now had a total of eleven blank score sheets.

Manchester City Top

MANCHESTER CITY have moved to the top of the Premier League on goal difference after they beat ARSENAL 3-1 away. City have taken their goals tally to 69 while Arsenal are on 51. Although Arsenal have a game in hand, they have won just two of their last six league games. City have now won four of their last six games. 

In the Championship, SHEFFIELD UNITED in second place lost 3-1 at home to MIDDLESBROUGH. United are on 60 goals while Brough are on a total of 54 and have moved up to 3rd place. LUTON drew 1-1 away to Preston and scored goal number 46. HUDDERSFIELD picked up their 13th blank of the season and now two in a row after they lost 3-0 away to Stoke. SWANSEA won 2-1 at home to Blackpool and they are on a total of 49 goals. WEST BROM drew 1-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers and picked up goal number 46.

Burnley Drew, Plymouth Win

In the Championship top of the table BURNLEY drew 1-1 at home to WATFORD. Burnley are on a total of 72 goals while Watford are on 38 goals. NORWICH after a two game dry spell won 3-1 at home to Hull. Norwich have taken their goals total to 47 goals. SUNDERLAND won 3-0 away to QPR and they have taken their goals tally to 51 and a goal run of fifteen games. READING won 2-1 at home to Rotherham and they are on a total of 39 goals. 

In League One top of the table PLYMOUTH won 3-1 away to OXFORD UNITED. Plymouth are now on a total of 58 goals while Oxford picked up goal number 44. Second place SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY won 3-0 at home to Morecambe and that has taken their goal total to 66. MK DONS lost 5-0 away to Bolton and they have now had a total of fourteen blank score sheets. BRISTOL ROVERS drew 0-0 at home to IPSWICH to pick up their 9th blank of the season. They have now had three blanks in a row and now just one goal in their last five games. Ipswich picked up their 5th blank. DERBY drew 1-1 at home to LINCOLN CITY and they are on a total of 63 goals to Lincoln’s total of 38. It’s now nine blank score sheets for PETERBOROUGH and two in a row after they lost 1-0 away to Fleetwood. FOREST GREEN ROVERS lost 1-0 at home to CHARLTON. SALFORD CITY drew 1-1 at home to Harrogate and they are on a total of 42 goals. STOCKPORT COUNTY won 2-1 at home to CRAWLEY TOWN and are on a total of 55 goals. Crawley hit goal number 37. SUTTON UNITED won 2-1 at home to SWINDON and have taken their goals total to 32. Swindon are on 38 goals. 

In the Scottish League Two BONNYRIGG ROSE lost 2-1 at home to Stirling and that is goal number 33 for them.

Liverpool's Much Needed Points

In the Premier League LIVERPOOL won 2-0 at home to EVERTON. Liverpool who are in 9th place are on a total of 42 goals. Everton remain in the bottom three as they picked up their 9th blank of the season.

Week Twenty-Nine

Here we are with Week Twenty-Nine of the competition and we had a total of three winners to share the cash prize money of £5 once again this week. They all won on a score of  9 goals each. Two are first time winners of the season which takes our winners total to 27. Our winners are GEOFF DOCKERILL, MANGO and ALICE STUBBS.

It was Mango (Paul Moran) that picked up his second win of the season. Paul last won in Week Fifteen on a score of 12 goals. Paul has still only had two blank weekend score sheets and his highest position is second place in Week Twenty-Two.

Geoff started with us way back in the 1990/91 Season on where he finished in 30th place with a total of 232 goals. Geoff became Champion in the 1994/95 Season with a total of 274 goals and he is in 37th place in our Champions League. Last season he finished in 97th place with a total of 230 goals. He also picked up one weekend win which was a rollover. This season he has been as high as 8th place in Weeks Twenty and Twenty-One. Geoff has had three blank weekend score sheets.

Alice started with Golden Goals back in the 2012/13 Season on where she became Champion with a total of 318 goals. Alice is currently in 13th place in our Champions League. Last season she finished in 72nd place with a total of 252 goals. This season Alice has been as high as 22nd place in Week Three. She has picked up a total of six blank weekend score sheets to date. 100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Only 22 of us have managed to pick up some midweek goals again this week with another small change in the leading pack this week as we had another 2 players to reach that half-way mark which now gives us a total of 49 players are now over the half way mark for the £40 cash prize money.

We still have COLIN WEBB out in front now on a total of 70 goals. His teams are Celtic, Liverpool and Manchester United. In second place we still have (me) STEVE REEVE now with a total of 68 goals. In third place down from two we have JAMES BLYTH with a total of 67 goals. In fourth place both down from three we have FIONA CARHTY with BRUCE SELF both with a total of 65 goals. In fifth place down from four we have CHRIS DICKER now on a total of 65 goals. In sixth place all with a total of 63 goals we have HAYLEY ADKINS down from four, TOBY BICKNELL our 2014/15 Champion has come back in with KEITH THOMSON who has remained at six. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but eight of our teams in action and out of the them 11 failed to score any goals. We had a much better weekend for goals as the average score moved up from three last weekend to 5 goals this weekend. So if you did better than that, well done. 

The highest result that we had came from the Scottish Premiership where CELTIC won 5-1 at home to St Mirren in the cup.  

PREMIER LEAGUE

Top of the table ARSENAL drew 1-1 at home to Brentford and picked up their 50th goal of the season after they had failed to score in their last two games. MANCHESTER CITY are now 3 points behind as they win 3-1 at home against ASTON VILLA. City are now on a total of 66 goals while Villa picked up goal number 33 and a goal run of eleven games now. MANCHESTER UNITED are still in third place after they won 2-0 away to LEEDS UNITED. United are on a total of 58 goals and a goal run of twenty-one games. WEST HAM drew 1-1 at home to London rivals CHELSEA. West Ham are on a total of 24 goals while Chelsea are on 23. CRYSTAL PALACE drew 1-1 at home to BRIGHTON to take their goals total to 23. Brighton are on 52 goals and a goal run of nine games. FULHAM won 2-0 at home to Nottingham Forest to take their goals tally to 40. LEICESTER CITY picked up another four goals in their 4-1 home win against TOTTENHAM. City are now on  a total of 44 goals. Tottenham hit goal number 46. BOURNEMOUTH drew 1-1 at home to NEWCASTLE and they are on a total of 28 goals to Newcastle’s total of 44 goals. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

Top of the table BURNLEY won 3-0 at home to Preston and they have taken their goals tally to 71 goals. SHEFFIELD UNITED in second place won 3-0 at home to SWANSEA CITY. United are now on a total of 59 goals while Swansea picked up their 8th blank of the season after a goal run of nine games.

In the Play-Offs MIDDLESBROUGH in third place won 3-1 away to Cardiff. Brough are now on a total of 51 goals. LUTON are in fourth place as they drew 1-1 away to Coventry and they are on a total of 45 goals. WATFORD are down to sixth place after they drew again, 1-1 away to Blackburn. Watford are on a total 37 goals.

Meanwhile NORWICH lost 1-0 away to Bristol City and that is their 9th blank of the season and now two in a row. HUDDERSFIELD lost 1-0 away to Wigan and picked up their 12th blank score sheet. SUNDERLAND won 1-0 at home to READING and are on a total of 48 goals and they have now scored in all of their last fourteen games. Reading picked up their 10th blank of the season. 

LEAGUE ONE

PLYMOUTH have moved back to the top of the table after they won 3-1 at home to Portsmouth. Plymouth are now on a total of 55 goals. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY dropped back down to second place after they drew 2-2 away to IPSWICH. Wednesday are on a total of 63 goals while Ipswich have taken their goals tally to 68.

In the Play-Offs we still have Ipswich in third place with DERBY are down to fifth place after they lost 3-2 away to Wycombe’ Derby are on a total of 62 goals.

Meanwhile CHARLTON lost 2-1 at home to Fleetwood and they are on a total of 54 goals. LINCOLN CITY won 1-0 at home to BRISTOL ROVERS and they are on a total of 37 goals. Rovers picked up their 8th blank of the season and now two games in a row. MK DONS drew 1-1 at home to OXFORD UNITED and they are on a total of 41 goals. Oxford picked up their 43rd goal and now just 2 goals in their last five games. FOREST GREEN ROVERS are rooted to the bottom of the table after they drew 1-1 away to Morecambe. They are on a total of 32 goals. PETERBOROUGH picked up their 8th blank of the season after they lost 5-0 at home against Bolton. 

LEAGUE TWO

The highest teams that we have in this league are all in the Play-Offs. They are SALFORD CITY still in fifth place after they lost 1-0 away to Tranmere. Salford after a goal run of eleven games, picked up their 10th blank of the season. MANSFIELD TOWN are still in sixth place after they won 2-0 at home to GILLINGHAM.  Mansfield are now on a total of 46 goals and a goal run of eight games Gillingham picked up their 20th blank of the season. STOCKPORT COUNTY are still in seventh place after they won 3-1 away to Harrogate. Stockport have taken their goals tally to 53.

Meanwhile AFC WIMBELDON drew 0-0 at home to Carlisle and that is their 13th blank of the season and now just one goal in their last five games. CRAWLEY TOWN drew 2-2 at home to Crewe and they are on a total of 36 goals. It’s 30 goals for SUTTON UNITED after they drew 2-2 away to Hartlepool. BRADFORD CITY won 3-2 away to Stevenage and they have taken their goals tally to 37. SWINDON lost 2-0 at home to Doncaster and that is their 11th  blank of the season. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUE RESULTS

In the SCOTTISH CUP fifth round, we had just three of our team in this round and they are all through to the quarter-finals. We already know about Hearts getting through but Champions CELTIC won 5-1 at home against 10 men St Mirren. The goals have now taken them up to 98. They have now scored in all of their last twenty-two games. RANGERS won 3-2 at home to Partick Thistle. Rangers are now on a total of 68 goals and a goal run of twenty-three games now.  

In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR drew 1-1 away to Forfar and they are on a total of 50 goals and they have now scored in all of their last twenty-three games. BONNYRIGG ROSE won 1-0 away to Stranraer and are now on a total of 32 goals and bottom of the league.

Our best performing team are RANGERS as they have now scored in all of their last 23 league/cup games played. They have a total of 68 goals. That still gives them an average score of 2.2 goals per game. 

Our worst performing team is GILLINGHAM as they have picked up a total of 20 blank score sheets out of 37 League/Cup games played. 

Our highest goal scorers in our 40th Season are CELTIC who won 9-0 away to Dundee Utd in the league and LIVERPOOL who won 9-0 at home to Bournemouth in the league both from Week Five.

Our 2010/11 Champion TONY GUY with selection number two, has remained at the top for his 16th consecutive weekend. Tony picked up a total of 8 goals this week from Arsenal, Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday and he is still 3 goals in front. Mark Gregory remains in second place this weekend. Mark picked up a total of 8 goals from his combination of Celtic, Manchester City and Norwich.  

At the other end at 108 we have back down MANDY WRIGHT as she picked up just 2 goals. Mandy’s teams are Bournemouth, Swansea and West Ham. Mandy has now been here for a total of 13 weeks throughout the season.
