Week Twenty-Two

In Week Twenty-Two of the competition we had our twenty-fifth winner of the season as TONY JENKINS wins on a total of 11 goals to pick up the full cash weekend prize of  £6. 
Tony has been with us since the 2007/08 Season where he finished in 69th place out of 90 that took part on a total of 235 goals.He picked up one weekend win worth £2. Last season he finished in the winning frame in 14th place on a total of 306 goals. With two weekend wins, Tony won over £26 in cash. This season he has been as high as 23rd place in Week Two. With three blank weekend score sheets, Tony has won on his person best score. His best team is Manchester City.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
All of us managed to pick up some goals in midweek from the Boxing Day games. It was MIKE ADKINS that picked up the most amount of goals with thirteen which takes his midweek goals total to 44. They came From, Celtic and Liverpool four goals each and Tottenham with five. So the race for the cash has changed once again this week.
GRAHAM HARRIS is way out in front as he picks up nine goals and he now has a total of 63 goals. His combination is Hearts, Tottenham and West Brom. In second place and now ten goals behind Graham, we have JOHN DAVIES and ANN WELLARD up from three both with a total of 53 goals. In joint third place with a total of 49 goals we now have BRADLEY HAYES coming in with DANNY HARRINGTON moving up from five and JUNE TIGHE up from four. In joint fourth place on 48 goals we still have JAMES BLYTH and DAVE WOOD.

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend all of us have picked up some goals and what a crazy week we have had from our teams. After a great start to the Christmas period from the Boxing Day results, it all fell a bit flat at the weekend. We had all of our teams in action with twenty teams that failed to score any goals this weekend. So the average score went up back up from six goals from last weekend back down to 5 goals this weekend.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from the English Premiership once again where LIVERPOOL won 5-1 at home to ARSENAL. With their highest score of the season, Liverpool are now on a total of 49 goals and they have now scored in all of their last twelve games. Arsenal picked up goal number 47. Also to hit five goals was PORTSMOUTH from league one where they won 5-2 away to Fleetwood. With their biggest result of the season, Portsmouth are now on a total of 50 goals.

PREMIERSHIP
We are back up to the top eight teams now in the prem with Liverpool remaining top after they big win against Arsenal. They are now seven points clear of MANCHESTER CITY in second place after they won 3-1 away to Southampton. City have now taken their goals tally to 60 goals. TOTTENHAM are still in third place after they lost 3-1 at home to WOLVES after going a goal up at half-time. Tottenham are now on 50 goals and they have now scored in all of their last twelve games. Wolves are now on 25 goals. CHELSEA still in fourth after they won with a late goal, 1-0 away to Crystal Palace and that was their 44th goal of the season. With Arsenal still in fifth place, MANCHESTER UNITED are still in sixth place as they win 4-1 at home to BOURNEMOUTH. United are now on a total of 43 goals while Bournemouth hit goal number 36.EVERTON lost 1-0 away to Brighton to pick up their fourth blank of the season and FULHAM are now second from bottom as they win 1-0 at home against Huddersfield to pick up goal 23.LEICESTER CITY lost 1-0 at home to Cardiff and they have now had six blank score sheets. WEST HAM lost 2-0 away to Burnley and they have picked up their eighth blank score sheet of the season and now just two goals in their last three games.

CHAMPIONSHIP
In the Championship, LEEDS UNITED are still on top here and now three points in front Norwich, after they lost 2-0 at home to HULL. That is Leeds third blank of the season after a goal run of eighteen games. Hull are now on 31 goals. WEST BROM are in third place after they drew 1-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday. West Brom are now on 56 goals. DERBY are in sixth place after they won 4-3 away to Norwich. Derby have taken their goals tally to 47. BIRMINGHAM drew 0-0 at home to BRENTFORD and that is their eighth blank of the season to Brentford’s five. STOKE picked up their sixth blank and now two in a row as they drew 0-0 away to Bolton. ROTHERHAM picked up their ninth blank score sheet and now three in a row after they lost 1-0 away to Bristol City. IPSWICH lost 2-0 away to Middlesbrough to pick up their twelfth blank score sheet and they are still bottom and now five points behind Reading. NOTTINGHAM FOREST picked up their sixth blank score sheet and now after they lost 1-0 away to Millwall. ASTON VILLA are on 48 goals as they drew 1-1 away to Preston. BLACKBURN lost 3-1 away to Sheffield United and that is their fifth blank of the season. SWANSEA drew 2-2 at home to Wigan and they are now on 31 goals.

LEAGUE ONE
We still have the top six now here with Portsmouth still top after their win. LUTON are still in second place after they drew 2-2 away to Walsall. Luton are now on 52 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. SUNDERLAND in third place drew 1-1 at home to SHREWSBURY and that is their 47th goal of the season to Shrewsbury’s 35. BARNSLEY have moved up to fourth place after they won 2-1 at home to CHARLTON. Barnsley arenow on 49 goals while Charlton now in sixth place are on 46 goals. PETERBOROUGH are up to fourth place as they win 4-0 away to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. Borough are now on 54 goals while Accrington picked up their sixth blank of the season. It’s 40 goals for BURTON ALBION  as they drew1-1 at home to PLYMOUTH who are now on 33 goals. COVENTRY won 1-0 at home to SOUTHEND and they are now on 28 goals while Southend picked up their seventh blank score sheet. It’s 30 for BRISTOL ROVERS as they win 2-0 away to Oxford Utd. ROCHDALE lost 4-0 at home to Bradford and that is their sixth blank of the season. After a six game dry spell for goals, SCUNTHORPE are now on 33 goals as they win 1-0 at home to WYCOMBE who picked up their sixth blank score sheet.

LEAGUE TWO
We now have the top three here with LINCOLN CITY on top after they won 2-1 away to Cambridge Utd. Lincoln are now on 54 goals. MK DONS are in second place after they drew 2-2 away to Northampton. The Dons are now on 39 goals. MANSFIELD are now in third place after they drew 0-0 at home to SWINDON. As Mansfield picked up their fifth blank score sheet, Swindon have now had eleven. EXETER picked up goal number 39 but they lost 2-1 at home to Grimsby. NOTTS COUNTY drew 0-0 at home to Bury and that is their tenth blank of the season. OLDHAM won 4-1 away to Port Vale and they are now on a total of 42 goals.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership, CELTIC are on top after they lost 1-0 away to rivals RANGERS. In second place. Celtic picked up their fifth blank of the season while Rangers hit goal number 50. ABERDEEN are down to fourth place after they won 2-1 away to Livingston. Aberdeen are now on 39 goals. HEARTS won 1-0 away to HIBERNIAN and that is their 44th goal of the season while Hibs picked up their seventh blank of the season. HAMILTON  lost 2-1 at home to Motherwell and that is their 19th goal of the season.
In the Championship, ROSS COUNTY are still top here after they won 2-1 at home to Inverness CT. County are now on a total of 43 goals. AYR UNITED are still to second place after they drew 1-1 away to Queen of South. Ayr are now on a total of 52 goals. ALLOA won 2-1 at home to Dundee Utd to take their goals total to 30 goals while FALKIRK are still bottom of the table as they lost 4-2 at home to Dunfermline. Falkirk are now on 22 goals.
In League One, RAITH ROVERS in second place lost 2-1 at home to East Fife but they have taken their goals tally up to 47 and they have now scored in all of their last twenty games. STENHOUSEMUIR are still bottom of the league after they drew 2-2 at home to DUMBARTON.  Stenhousenuir are now on 27 goals to Dumbarton’s 31.
In League Two, PETERHEAD are in second place as they win 3-0 away to Elgin to take them up to 43 goals.

Our Best teams this week are RAITH ROVERS after they have scored in all of their last twenty League and Cup games out of twenty-four played. They have a total of 47 goals which gives them a average score of 2 goals per game.

Our worst team is HAMILTON again this weekend as they have picked up a total of thirteen blank score sheets out of twenty-five league and cup games played this season. They have now scored just two goals in their last six games.

Our biggest result in our 36th Season are now WEST HAM UNITED who won 8-0 at home against Macclesfield in the Carabao/League Cup Third Round in Week Nine.

KELLIE STRATTON is still top this weekend after she collected a total of eleven goals with four of them coming from the weekend. Kellie has now been top for two weeks and three over the season with her combination of Celtic, Manchester City and West Brom. Robert Freeman has moved up to second place after he picked up a total of twelve goals. His teams are Celtic, Manchester City and Peterborough.
At the other end at 133 we still have John Filtness at the bottom for his thirteenth consecutive weekend as he picks up a total of twelve goals for the week. He has now had sixteen weeks at the bottom and he is now just ten goals adrift this weekend. His teams are  Birmingham, Hamilton and Liverpool.

West Ham Moving Up


In the English Premiership, WEST HAM came back from a goal down to win 2-1 away to Southampton. The three points moves them up to ninth place behind Everton on a total of 39 goals.

Boxing Day Results


It’s seems that we are having a goal feast for Christmas as our top team carry on with the goals.
In the English Prem, MANCHESTER CITY have suffered their second Christmas defeat as they lose 2-1 away to LEICESTER CITY. But City have now scored in all of their last four games and are now third in the table with a total of 57 goals. Leicester take their goals total to 29. TOTTENHAM are in second place and going goal crazy as they win 5-0 at home to BOURNEMOUTH. Tottenham with eleven goals in their last two games are now on a total of 49 goals while Bournemouth picked up their seventh blank score sheet of the season. CHELSEA are fourth as they win 2-1 away to Watford and they are now on 43 goals. ARSENAL are now on 46 goals as they drew 1-1 away to Brighton. EVERTON have picked up their biggest result of the season as they win 5-1 away to Burnley. FULHAM drew 1-1 at home to WOLVES which gives both clubs a total of 22 goals each. LIVERPOOL won 4-0 at home to Newcastle and they are now on a total of 44 goals and have now scored in all of their last eleven games. MANCHESTER UNITED won 3-1 at home to Huddersfield and they are now on a total of 39 goals.

In the Championship LEEDS UNITED remain top after they won 3-2 at home to BLACKBURN. Leeds are now on 41 goals and they have extended their goal run to eighteen games. Blackburn are now on 42 goals. WEST BROM in third place won 2-0 at home to Wigan and they are now on 55 goals. BIRMINGHAM won 2-0 at home to STOKE and they are now on a total of 37 goals while Stoke picked up their fifth blank of the season. ROTHERHAM lost 2-0 away to Bolton to pick up their eighth blank score sheet and now two in a row. BRENTFORD are on 41 goals as they drew 1-1 away to Bristol City. After a three game dry spell for goals, NOTTINGHAM FOREST are now on 44 goals as they drew 3-3 away to Norwich. HULL won 2-1 away to Preston and they have taken their goals total to 29. IPSWICH picked up their eleventh blank of the season after they lost 3-0 away to Queens Park Rangers. DERBY lost 3-1 away to Sheffield United to give them goal number 43. ASTON VILLA won 1-0 away to SWANSEA to take their goals tally to 47 while Swansea picked up their ninth blank of the season.

SUNDERLAND are in third place as they win 1-0 at home to Bradford. Sunderland are on 46 goals. PLYMOUTH lost 2-1 away to AFC Wimbledon and that is their 32nd goal of the season. ACCRINGTON STANLEY won 2-1 at home to SHREWSBURY and they are now on 32 goals to Shrewsbury’s 34. OLDHAM picked up their eighth blank of the season as they went down 6-0 away to Carlisle. EXETER won 2-1 at home to Yeovil and they are now on 38 goals SWINDON drew 1-1 away to Northampton and they are now on 29 goals while NOTTS COUNTY are on 29 goals as they lost 2-1 at home to Macclesfield.

In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC are now three points clear of rivals Rangers as they win 3-2 away to ABERDEEN. Celtic have now scored a total of ten goals in their last three games to take their goals tally up to 54. Aberdeen are now on 37. RANGERS in second place drew 1-1 at home to HIBERNIAN and they are now on 49 goals while Hibs are on 33. After a two game dry spell for goals, HEARTS are now on 43 goals as they win 2-0 at home to HAMILTON who picked up their thirteenth blank score sheet and now just one goal in their last five games.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We have had one hell of a year here at Golden Goals and I hope that the flow keeps going.
I would like to thank you all who have taken a look at this blog in one way and another and hope that you continue to do so in 2019. Meanwhile I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Week Twenty-One


In Week Twenty-One of the competition we have started our second half here at Golden Goals and the good news is that we had a total of two winners this weekend to share the £10 Christmas Weekend Jackpot.  Both of them are first time winners this season and they were BRUCE SELF and our 2016/17 Champion JOHN WOOD. They won on a score of  14 goals each and it takes our winners total in our 36th Season up to twenty-four.
Bruce is in his twelfth season with Golden Goals as he started with us back in the 2006/07 Season. In his first season he finished in the winning frame in 18th place on a total of 260 goals. With one weekend win, Bruce won over £8 in cash. Last season he finished in 107th place on 250 goals. This season Bruce has been as high as 83rd place in Week One. With three blank score sheets at the weekend, Celtic is his best team.
John started with us back in the 197/98 Season where he finished on a total of 209 goals and finished in 87th place. John became Champion in the 2016/17 Season winning on a total of 344 goals and winning over £100 in cash. John’s score has put him in third place of our Champions League. Last season John finished in 115th place with 247 goals. This season, John has been as high as 109th place in Week Ten picking up four blank score sheets.Arsenal is his best team to date. 100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Only six players failed to pick up any goals in midweek this week including me. It was SARAH MARSHALL that picked up the most amount of goals with eight goals which now gives Sarah a total of 29 goals. They came from Aberdeen 5 and Celtic 3. Manchester United is her third team. So the race for the cash has changed once again this week.

His combination are Hearts, Tottenham and West Brom. In second place and still nine goals behind Graham, we have JOHN DAVIES now with a total of 45 goals. In third place with a total of 43 goals we now have ANN WELLARD moving up from fifth place. In joint fourth place all on 42 goals we still have JAMES BLYTH, JUNE TIGHE, and DAVE WOOD. In joint fifth place we have TERRY WARWICK down from third place with DANNY HARRINGTON and MARK GREGORY who have moved back into the race and they are all on a total of 41 goals.

 WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend all of us have picked up some goals and what a crazy week we have had from our teams. Starting Christmas early, we had just two teams without a game this weekend and another sixteen teams that failed to score any goals. So the average score went up back up from six five goals from last weekend to 6 goals this weekend.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from the English Premiership where TOTTENHAM won 6-2 away to EVERTON. With their highest score of the season, Tottenham are now on a total of 44 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games.  Everton have taken their goals tally up to 30.
Tottenham are in their 35th Season with Golden Goals and they are one of our original teams from our very first season. They were our tenth voted English team in and they finished on a total of 71 goals. The season that they missed out on was the 2000/01 Season. Their highest score is 109 goals and they have reached that twice. First was in the 1986/87 Season and then again in the 2016/17 Season. last season they finished on 97 goals. This season they have picked up just one blank score sheet out of their twenty-one games played. They have a total of twenty-three votes this season. Over the years they have now scored a total of 2567 which gives them an average score of 73 goals per season.

PREMIERSHIP
We are down to the top six teams now in the prem with Liverpool remaining top after they win on Friday night. MANCHESTER CITY are still in second place after they lost their second league game of the season, 3-2 at home to Crystal Palace. City have now taken their goals tally to 56 goals. Tottenham are still in third place after their big win with CHELSEA still fourth after they lost their third league game 1-0 at home to LEICESTER CITY. As Chelsea pick up their third blank of the season, Leicester are now on a total of 27 goals. ARSENAL are still in fifth place after they won 3-1 at home to Burnley. Arsenal are now on a total of 45 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED are still in sixth place as they picked up their biggest result by winning 5-1 away to Cardiff. United are now on a total of 36 goals. After a three game dry spell for goals, BOURNEMOUTH won 2-0 at home to Brighton and that now gives them a total of 35 goals. BLACKBURN lost 1-0 at home to Norwich and after a goal run of eleven games, Blackburn have now had a total of four blank score sheets. It’s 40 goals for BRENTFORD as they win 1-0 at home to Bolton. DERBY drew 1-1 at home to Bristol City and they are now on 42 goals. HULL won 3-2 at home to SWANSEA and they are now on 27 goals to Swansea’s 29. IPSWICH drew 1-1 at home to Sheffield United. In the Premiership, CELTIC are back on top after they won 3-0 at home to bottom of the table Dundee. Celtic are now on a total of 50 goals. RANGERS are down to second place and a point behind Celtic as they win 2-1 away to St Johnstone after going a down down in the first half. Rangers are now on 48 goals. ABERDEEN are up to third place after they won 2-0 at home against HEARTS. Aberdeen are now on 34 goals while Hearts picked up their eighth blank score sheet and now two in a row. After a run of three games without a goal, HAMILTON drew 1-1 at home to Kilmarnock and they are now on 18 goals. HIBERNIAN drew 1-1 at home to Livingston and they have taken their goals tally up to 32 goals.

AYR UNITED are down to second place after they drew 0-0 away to Dunfermline. That was their fifth blank of the season. ALLOA won 2-0 at home to Queen of South to take their goals total to 28 goals while FALKIRK are still bottom of the table as they lost 2-1 away to Dundee United. Falkirk are now on 20 goals.
In League One, STENHOUSEMUIR are still bottom of the league after they lost 3-1 away to Montrose but they are now on 25 goals. RAITH ROVERS in second place won 2-0 away to Arbroath to take their goals tally up to 46 and they have now scored in all of their last nineteen games. DUMBARTON lost 1-0 at home to Stranraer and that is their seventh blank of the season.
In League Two, PETERHEAD are back in action and they won 4-1 at home against Stirling to take them up to 40 goals.

KELLIE STRATTON is back on top this weekend after she collected a total of thirteen goals with nine of them coming from the weekend. Kellie has now been top for two weeks this season with her combination of Celtic, Manchester City and West Brom. James Sommerville is back down to second place after been top for a total of four weeks over the season. His teams are once again Ayr United, Celtic and Manchester City.
At the other end at 133 we still have John Filtness at the bottom for his twelfth consecutive weekend as he picks up a total of six goals for the week. He has now had fifteen weeks at the bottom and he is now twelve goals adrift this weekend. His teams are  Birmingham, Hamilton and Liverpool.

Liverpool Four Points Clear

In the English Premiership, WOLVES lost 2-0 at home to LIVERPOOL with a goal in each half. That is Wolves sixth blank score sheet of the season while Liverpool are now on a total of 40 goals. They have remained top and four points clear and they are now putting pressure on Manchester City who face Crystal Palace today.

More Carabao/League Cup Quarter-Final Results

In the other games in the Quarter-Finals of the Carabao/League Cup, in the north London derby, TOTTENHAM are through to the semi-finals as they beat rivals ARSENAL 2-0 away. Tottenham are now on a total of 38 goals while Arsenal after a goal run of eighteen games, picked up their second blank of the season. Another London team that has also made it through to the next round is CHELSEA, after they won 1-0 at home to BOURNEMOUTH to pick up goal number 41 while Bournemouth got their sixth blank score sheet and now three games in a row without a goal.

In Scottish Premiership, CELTIC won 3-0 at home to Motherwell to take their goals tally up to 47 goals. RANGERS drew 0-0 away to HIBERNIAN to pick up their fifth blank score sheet and Hibs get their sixth.

Carabao/League Cup Quarter-Finals

In the Quarter-Finals of the Carabao/League Cup, MANCHESTER CITY scrapped through to the Semi-Finals after they drew 1-1 away to LEICESTER CITY after extra time to win 3-2 on penalties. The single goal now means that City are on a total of 54 goals. Leicester hit goal number 26. BURTON ALBION will join them as they win 1-0 away to Middlesbrough. Burton are now on 36 goals.

The highest score from midweek to date came from the Scottish Premiership where ABERDEEN won 5-1 at home to Dundee. With their biggest result of the season, Aberdeen have taken their goals tally up to 32.

Derby Fourth in Championship

In the English Championship, DERBY picked up a point as they drew 0-0 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST. Derby have moved up to fourth place and that was their fifth blank score sheet of the season. Forest picked up their fourth blank of the season and now two in a row.

Week Twenty

In Week Twenty of the competition it’s half-time here at Golden Goals and the good news is that we had a total of three winners this weekend to share the £6 Weekend Jackpot.  All of the three players are first time winners this season and they were SEAN GOUGH, NICK HORTON and EMMA NEWMAN. All three won on a score of just 9 goals each and it takes our winners total for our 36th Season up to twenty-two.
Sean is in his second season with Golden Goals and last season he finished in 118th place on a total of 245 goals. This season Sean has been as high as 47th place and that was in Weeks Six and Eight. He has picked up just one blank score sheet to date. Manchester City is his best team.
Nick is in his tenth season with us and in his first season of 2009/10, Nick finished in 82nd place out of 93 with a total of 241 goals. Last season he finished in 96th place on 258 goals. This season he has picked up three blank weekend score sheets and his highest position to date is 38th place in Week Seven. Manchester City is also his best team.
Emma is our fifth lady to win this season and this is her very first season with us. Emma’s highest position is 28th place in Week One of the competition. Emma had picked up just two blank score sheets and yes, Manchester City is her best team too.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Only twenty-one players picked some more midweek goals this week with two players picking up the most amount of goals with four goals each. So the race for the cash has changed once again this week.
GRAHAM HARRIS is still out in front and just over half way to the cash as he has extended his lead to a total of 52 goals as he picks up another eight goals from his combination of Hearts, Tottenham and West Brom. In second place and now nine goals behind Graham, we have JOHN DAVIES now with a total of 43 goals. Still in third place with a total of 40 goals we have TERRY WARWICK. In joint fourth place all on 39 goals we have JAMES BLYTH, GARY BROWN, JUNE TIGHE, RYAN WILLIAMS and DAVE WOOD. Remaining in joint fifth place we have ANN WELLARD and JACQUI WILLIAMS both on a total of 38 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS
This weekend once again only two players failed to pick any goals this weekend as we hit half time. We had a really low scoring weekend for goals although we had seven teams without a game this weekend and another eleven teams that failed to score any goals. So the average score went up back down from six goals from last weekend to 5 goals this weekend.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from two of our teams, OLDHAM and RAITH ROVERS with four goals each.

PREMIERSHIP
We are down to the top nine teams now in the prem with LIVERPOOL remaining top after they won 3-1 at home to MANCHESTER UNITED in sixth place. Liverpool are now on a total of 38 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. United picked up goal number 31. MANCHESTER CITY are still in second place after they won 3-1 at home to EVERTON. City have now taken their goals tally to 53 goals while Everton scored goal number 28. TOTTENHAM are still in third place after they won 1-0 at home to Burnley to pick up goal number 36. CHELSEA are still fourth after they won 2-1 away to Brighton bringing their goals tally up to 40 goals. ARSENAL in fifth place lost 3-2 away to Southampton and they are now on 42 goals. WOLVES are in seventh place as they win 2-0 at home to BOURNEMOUTH. Wolves are now on a total of 21 goals while Bournemouth picked up their fifth blank score sheet and now two in a row. WEST HAM have moved up to ninth place after another winning 2-0 away to FULHAM. West Ham are now on a total of 37 goals while Fulham picked up their ninth blank score sheet and remain rooted at the foot of the league. LEICESTER CITY picked up their fifth blank of the season and now two in a row as they lost 1-0 away to Crystal Palace.

CHAMPIONSHIP
In the Championship, LEEDS UNITED are back on top here and one point in front of Norwich, after they won 1-0 away to Bolton.  Leeds have taken their goals total up to 38 and they have now scored in all of their last sixteen games. ASTON VILLA drew 2-2 at home to STOKE to take their goals tally up to 44 goals while Stoke are on 33 goals. It’s 40 for BLACKBURN as they drew 2-2 at home to BIRMINGHAM. Blackburn have now scored in all of their last eleven games.Birmingham are now on 32. HULL won 2-0 at home to BRENTFORD and they are now on 24 goals while Brentford picked up their fourth blank of the season. IPSWICH won their second game of the season by beating Wigan 1-0 at home. Ipswich are now on a total of 19 goals but they are still bottom and four points behind Bolton. ROTHERHAM drew 1-1 at home to reading and that is their 26th goal of the season. SWANSEA won 2-1 at home against Sheffield Wednesday and they are now on 27 goals.

LEAGUE ONE
We still have the top five here with PORTSMOUTH still top as they drew 1-1 away to BARNSLEY. Portsmouth are now on 42 goals while Barnsley are on 44. LUTON are second as they win 2-1 away to COVENTRY. Luton are on 46 goals this week while Coventry are on 25 goals. SUNDERLAND are still in third place after they won 2-1 at home to BRISTOL ROVERS. Sunderland are on 44 goals to Rovers 23. PETERBOROUGH are in fourth place as they drew 2-2 away to SHREWSBURY. Borough are now on a total of 49 goals while Shrewsbury are on 32 goals. CHARLTON are now in fifth place as they win 2-0 at home to AFC Wimbeldon to take their goals total to 42. SCUNTHORPE picked up their ninth blank score sheet and now four games without a goal as they lost 3-0 away to Doncaster. BURTON ALBION lost 1-0 away to Fleetwood and that is their fourth blank score sheet. WYCOMBE drew 2-2 away to Gillingham but they are now on a total of 38 goals. PLYMOUTH won 2-1 away to ROCHDALE and they are now on 31 goals to Rochdales 34. SOUTHEND are on 39 goals as they win 3-0 at home to ACCRINGTON who picked up their fifth blank of the season.

LEAGUE TWO
Top two here with LINCOLN CITY going back on top after they won 3-1 at home to Morecambe. Lincoln are now on 48 goals. MK Dons had their game postponed due to the weather. EXETER after a two game dry spell for goals are now on 33 as they win 1-0 at home against Crewe. SWINDON picked up goal number 28 as they lost 2-1 away to Grimsby. NOTTS COUNTY have not been doing well lately but they are now on 28 goals as they win 3-2 at home to Tranmere. OLDHAM have picked up their biggest result of the season so far as they win 4-2 at home to Bury. Oldham are now on 36 goals. 

SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership, RANGERS are back on top after they won just 1-0 at home to HAMILTON. That is their 46th goal of the season while Hamilton picked up their twelfth blank and now three in a row. CELTIC are down to third place after they lost their third game of the season as they went down 2-0 away to HIBERNIAN. Celtic have now picked up four over the season. Hibs have taken their goals tally up to 39 goals. ABERDEEN are in fourth place after they won 2-1 away to St Mirren. Aberdeen are now on 27 goals.  
In the Championship, AYR UNITED are still top as they drew 3-3 at home to second place ROSS COUNTY. AYR are now on 51 goals while County are on 39. ALLOA drew 2-2 away to Partick to take their goals total to 26 goals while FALKIRK are still bottom of the table as they drew 0-0 at home to Morton.  That is now eleven blank score sheets for Falkirk.
In League One, STENHOUSEMUIR are still bottom of the league after they lost 2-0 at home to East Fife and that is their ninth blank of the season. RAITH ROVERS in second place won 4-2 at home to DUMBARTON.  Rovers are now on a total of 44 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eighteen games. Dumbarton are now on 29 goals.

Our worst team is HAMILTON again this weekend as they have picked up a total of twelve blank score sheets out of twenty-two league and cup games played this season. They have failed to scored in their last four games.

Our biggest result in our 36th Season are now WEST HAM UNITED who won 8-0 at home against Macclesfield in the Carabao/League Cup Third Round in Week Nine.
