Week Sixteen

In Week Sixteen of the competition we had no prize money this weekend due to the Internationals being played. So next weekend we will have our third Rollover of the season worth £10.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Only 27 of us have picked up some goals in midweek and the race for the cash has not changed this week really.

Still out in front this week we have ANN WELLARD now with a total of 41 goals. In second place we still have TONY KING now with a total of 40 goals. In third place we still have our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY now with a total of 37 goals. In fourth place we still have ANDY EYLES and MARK GREGORY. Both now with a total of 36 goals. In fifth place we still have PETER PORTER but he is now joined with BAILEY MORAN moving up from sixth place. Both are on a total of 35 goals. In sixth place we now have JAMES SOMERVILLE coming back in to the race with a total of 34 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

Most of us picked up yet another blank weekend score sheet as we had just 10 of teams in action over the weekend. Out of them we had 2 of them that failed to score any goals.

LEAGUE ONE

We had just one of our teams that managed to play over the weekend and they were BLACKPOOL who won 4-0 at home to Shrewsbury. That is their second game of the season where they have netted four goals in a game. Blackpool have taken their goals tally to 32.

LEAGUE TWO

NOTTS COUNTY have moved up to third place after they won 4-2 at home to Bradford and have now scored a total of 40 goals. WREXHAM lost 2-0 away to Accrington Stanley. After they had scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games, Wrexham picked up their fourth blank of the season. SALFORD CITY lost 3-1 away to Gillingham and are on a total of 37 goals. SUTTON UNITED drew 1-1 at home to Tranmere and picked up goal number 30 and they have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games.

SCOTTISH RESULTS

In League One Falkirk are still top here after they had no game this week. KELTY HEARTS won 3-1 away to Queen of South. Kelty are now on a total of 33 goals. COVE RANGERS won 3-1 at home against Stirling and are now on a total of 32 goals. They have now scored in all of their last 9 league/cup games.

In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR go to the top of the table after they won 3-0 away to Stranraer. Stenhousemuir are now on a total of 28 goals. CLYDE lost 4-0 at home to EAST FIFE and picked up their seventh blank of the season and are bottom of the league. After they had failed to score in their last three games, Fife are now on a total of 18 goals.

Our BEST three teams this week

Our worst performing team is SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY this week as they have picked up 11 blank score sheets out of their 18 league/cup games.

Our highest goal scoring team in our 41st Season are NEWCASTLE UNITED after they won 8-0 away to Sheffield United in Week Eight. BARNSLEY and BRISTOL ROVERS have both pick up our second highest score with 7 goals. Barnsley won 7-0 at home to Port Vale in the first league game of the season in Week One. Bristol Rovers won 7-2 at home to non-league Whitby Town in the first round of the FA CUP in Week Fourteen.
