Week Twenty-Seven

In Week Twenty-Seven of the competition we had three winners this weekend winning on our lowest score of the season with just 6 goals. Our winners are JASON COOPER, STUART KEMP (2) and BRUCE SELF.  All three will shared the £6 cash prize money this weekend. The good news is that two are first time winners this season and we have now had a total of twenty-nine winners for this season.

It was Stuart with his second combo that has won him some cash this time round. His first combo won him the cash in Week Eighteen with 11 goals. With his second he has picked up a total of three blank score sheets and 63 is the highest that this combo has been. Jason is in his fifth season with us as he started back in the 2016/17 Season. Last season Jason finished in 107th place with a total of 226 goals. This season Jason has been as high as 12th place in Week One. He has picked up three blank score sheets to date. Bruce started with us in the 2006/07 Season and he finished in the winning frame in 18th place picking up a total of 260 goals. With a shared weekend win, Bruce won just over £8 in cash. Last season Bruce finished in 75th place with a total of 264 goals. He picked up just one win with a Rollover and collected a total of £12. This season he has been as high as 14th place in Week Seven. He has picked up a total of three blank score sheet to date. Our winning teams are

Jason RANGERS 3, STOKE 2, WATFORD 1

Stuart RANGERS 3, STOKE 2, WATFORD 1

Bruce CELTIC 0, MAN UTD 2, TOTTENHAM 4

100 MIDWEEK GOALS

Most of us picked up some goals this week once again and it has changed the order in the race for the cash again. We have three players left to hit the magic 50 goal mark this week. The highest midweek score that we had was 8 goals and they went MALCOLM STUBBS. He has Cardiff City, Celtic and Manchester City. So here are the top six places this week. In first place with 98 goals we still have last weeks leader RAYMOND HARROD. Ray needs just two more goals to win the £40 cash prize money. Ray would of won the cash if Brentford had beaten Norwich. Ray might pick up the cash this week coming as Brentford and Manchester City are both in action. His third team is Celtic. In second place we still have CHRIS SETFORD now with a total of 95 goals. In third place moving down one is MARK GREGORY with a total of 94 goals. In fourth place both down from three we have MICHAEL JACOBSON and SANSA-CLARA-LYANNA both with a total of 93 goals. In fifth place we have A&A. CLARK down from four and MALCOLM STUBBS moving up from six both have a total of 92 goals. In sixth place we still have CHRIS DICKER and moving back in to the race we have JAMES SOMERVILLE both have a total of 90 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had a total of nine of our teams without a game over the weekend with another eighteen that failed to score any goals. With that, the bad news is that 29 players failed to pick up any goals this weekend. After getting yet another fantastic set of midweek results, this weekends average score fell down from four of last weekend to just 1 goal this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was four goals again and we had another two teams that picked them up.
