In Week Thirty-Nine of the competition we had our
very last Weekend Jackpot of £5 and that went to GRAHAM HARRIS with his second win of the season. Graham won on a score of 10 goals
once again. Graham last won back in Week Thirty-Five with a shared
Rollover winning again with 10 goals. Although he has moved back up to 48th
place this weekend, 30th is still his best position in Week One.
Manchester City is still his best team and he has still had five blank score
sheets to date. His winning teams are

MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
The race is
now on to see how many of us can get to that 100 or more midweek goals and to
beat the best midweek score of 136 goals which is currently held by Daryl Nicholls from the 2016/17 Season.
We still have a total of four players that have reach 100 goals or more again
this week. SCOTT THOMSON (1) and LUCIFER picked up the most amount of midweek goals with a total of 6
goals each.
Meanwhile LYANNA GRIMWOOD still leads
as she now takes her total up to 117 goals. Her teams are Fulham. Manchester
City and Sunderland. BOB SOPER is
still second with a total of 106 goals. In third place is we still have LOUIE HARRINGTON and KEAMUS SETNA both now with a total of
101 goals. In fourth place with 99 goals we have JAMIE WOOD. In fifth place with 97
goals we have PETER WELLARD. In
sixth place this week we have CHRIS BOLBERY
and COLIN WEBB both with 96
goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had all but six of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play, nine failed to score any goals. We had a fairly good weekend in our last full
fixture for goals as our average score over the weekend went down from six
goals from last weekend back to 4 goals this weekend. The highest score we had was five goals and they came from NOTTINGHAM FOREST. They won 5-1 at home against SWANSEA
CITY. Forest with their biggest result of the season, are now on a total of
81 goals. Swansea hit goal number 67.
Forest became our 12th voted team in our very first season and they
finished on a total of 78 goals. In the 1988/89 Season they finished on their
highest score of 100 goals. In the Covid Season last year, they finished on a
total of just 39 goals which is their
lowest ever score. This is their 28th appearance with Golden
Goals and over the years they have scored a total of 1983 goals which
gives them an average score of 70 goals per season. They have just one vote
this season and they have picked up a total of eleven blank score sheets to
date.
PREMIER LEAGUE
MANCHESTER CITY are still just one
point in front of Liverpool in
second place again this weekend as Manchester City win 4-0 away to Leeds Utd. City are now on a total of 106 goals
and they have scored in all of their last seven games. LIVERPOOL won 1-0 away to Newcastle and they
are on a total of 109 goals. They have now scored in all of their last eleven
games. CHELSEA are still in third
place after they lost 1-0 away to Everton. Chelsea after a goal run of eleven
games, picked up their fifth blank of the season. ARSENAL are still in fourth place after they won 2-1 away to London
rivals WEST HAM. Arsenal have now
taken their goals tally to 70 while West Ham picked up goal number 60. After a
two game dry spell for goals, ASTON
VILLA won 2-0 at home to Norwich to take their goals tally to 51. CRYSTAL PALACE had failed to score in
their last three games but won this one 2-1 away to Southampton. Palace are on
a total of 55 goals. WATFORD lost 2-1 at home to Burnley and are
stuck in the relegation zone. Watford are on a total of 35 goals. WOLVES lost 3-0 at home to BRIGHTON to pick up their seventeenth
blank of the season and now three in a row. Brighton are now on a total of 43
goals. After a two game dry spell, its 70 goals for TOTTENHAM as they win 3-1 at home to LEICESTER CITY who
picked up their 61st goal.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Fulham are Champions with BOURNEMOUTH still in second place after
they won 3-0 away to Blackburn. Bournemouth
are now a total of 80 goals.
In the Play-offs
we still have just two of the four teams. They are Nottingham Forest now in third place after their big win and Sheffield United are still in sixth
place after their win in midweek.
Meanwhile we have all three teams to be relegated from
the Championship and they are BARNSLEY who lost 3-1 at home to PRESTON and are on a total of 38 goals
while Preston take their tally to 60. DERBY
won 2-0 away to Blackpool and they are on a total of 49 goals. PETERBOROUGH are also down as they lost
3-0 away to Millwall. That is now Brough’s twenty-fifth blank of the season and
now two in a row. HULL lost 5-0 away
to Bristol City and that is their twenty-first blank of the season. After a dry
spell of three games, CARDIFF picked
up goal number 55 as they drew 1-1 at home to Birmingham. READING lost 1-0 at home to WEST
BROM and that is their sixteenth blank and now two in a row while West Brom
picked up goal number 49 after a two game dry spell.
LEAGUE ONE
It’s all over here
except for the play-offs and we have done well here. WIGAN are crowned Champions after they won 3-0 away to Shrewsbury. Wigan finished on a total of 90 goals. ROTHERHAM join them in second place
after they won 2-0 away to Colchester. Rotherham finished on a total of 76 goals.
In the all important Play-Offs
we have three teams with SHEFFIELD
WEDNESDAY moving up to fourth place after they won 4-1 at
home to PORTSMOUTH. Wednesday are
now on a total of 80 goals. Portsmouth finished on a total of 71 goals. SUNDERLAND are down to fifth
place after they won1-0 away to Morecambe. Sunderland are on a total of 87
goals. WYCOMBE are still in sixth place after
they won 2-1 away to BURTON. Wycombe
are on 80 goals and a goal run of seven games. Burton Albion finished on a
total of 55 goals.
Meanwhile BOLTON finish their season with a 4-2 win over Fleetwood and finished
on a total of 79 goals. IPSWICH win
4-0 at home against CHARLTON and end
the season on a total of 70 goals. Charlton picked up their twelfth blank of
the season. LINCOLN CITY won 2-1 at
home to Crewe and they finished on a total of 58 goals and a goal run of seven
games. OXFORD UNITED drew1-1 against
Doncaster and finished on a total of 88 goals. PLYMOUTH lost 5-0 at home to MK Dons and that is their eleventh
blank of the season with just one goal in their last five games.
LEAGUE TWO
They are still in
action with EXETER CITY at the top being
promoted after they drew 1-1 away to Northampton. Exeter are on a total of 69
goals.
In the Play-Offs
we have just one out of the four teams and they are now SWINDON in seventh place. They won 2-1 at home to Barrow and they
are on a total of 80 goals.
Meanwhile relegated SCUNTHORPE UNITED drew 1-1 at home to
Hartlepool and they are on a total of 29 goals. CARLISLE won 2-1 at home to STEVENAGE
and they are on a total of 42 goals while Stevenage are on a total of 49
goals. SUTTON UNITED lost 4-1 at
home to Bradford and they are on a total
of 71 goals.

In the Premiership, in
the old firm clash CELTIC drew 1-1
at home against RANGERS. Celtic now
become our fourth team this season to hit 100 goals. Celtic are now on a total
of 100 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. Second
place Rangers are on a total of 91 goals and they have now scored in all of
their last fourteen games. Third place HEARTS
drew 0-0 at home to Ross County and they have now had a total of eight blank
score sheets after a goal run of ten games. ABERDEEN won 1-0 at home to Dundee and they are on a total of 45
goals.
In League Two Champions KELTY HEARTS won 2-1 away to Anna and
they have finished on a total of 82 goals and they have now scored in all of
their last six games. STENHOUSEMUIR drew
0-0 away to Forfar and that is their eleventh blank of the season.
Our on-form
team this week are RANGERS as they have now scored
in all of their last fourteen League/Cup games.
Our worst
team this week is PETERBOROUGH after they picked up a
total of twenty-five blank score sheets out of a total of forty-nine league/cup

Our highest
goal scorers in our 39th Season are CELTIC who won
7-0 at home to St Johnston in the league in Week Thirty-Six. OXFORD UNITED won 7-2 away to
Gillingham in the league in Week Twenty-Six. FULHAM have now scored seven goals twice this season. They first
won 7-0 away to Blackburn Rovers in the league in Week Fourteen and they have also
won 7-0 away to Reading in the league in Week Twenty-Four. MANCHESTER CITY won 7-0 at home to Leeds Utd in the league in Week Twenty. CHELSEA won 7-0 at home to Norwich in the league in Week Twelve. BRENTFORD won 7-0 at home to Oldham in the third round of the Carabao/League Cup in
Week Eight.
JULIA WOOD is in her second
weekend at the top after she picked up a total of 6 goals from the week. Julia’s
teams are Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. Julia has moved up the table in
our Champions League to 26th
place as she has taken over Phil Reeve 1987/88 score of 302 goals and John
Fleming score of 303 goals in the 1993/94 Season. Scott Thomson (2) has remained in second place as he also picked up
a total of 6 goals from his teams of Liverpool, Manchester City and Oxford
United.
At the other end at 113 we still have
ZIGGY (John Wood) this weekend which is now his 33rd
consecutive weekend at the bottom and now thirty-five over the season. Ziggy picked
up a total of three goals again this week. Ziggy has remained at 37th
place in our Losers League for the
third week running. Ziggy teams are Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and
Stenhousemuir.
