WEEK FIVE

Sheet five of this season’s competition is now out and as you can see Chris Challis is once again top this weekend with a total of 52 goals, with his combination of Peterborough, QPR and Rangers. He could still be there next weekend with a full league fixture taking place this weekend coming.
A few of us this weekend picked up our very first blank score sheet of the season but some of you have picked up your second.
At the other end of the table that dreaded number 103, we have had a different name each weekend. James Maroni is now there with his combination of Celtic, Chelsea and Tottenham although all of his teams will be in action over the next weekend.
We are now down to 10 teams that have that 100% scoring record.  They are ARSENAL, BRISTOL CITY, CELTIC, LIVERPOOL, MANCHESTER CITY, MIDDLESBROUGH, MORTON, NOTTINGHAM FOREST, RANGERS, and STENHOUSEMUIR.
We had a total of eleven past champions in this season’s competition including last season’s champion Alice Stubbs. Alice has started the season right at the bottom of the table with a change of her winning combination for this season.  With two blank score sheets already this season, Alice has climbed up to number 95 but has slipped down this weekend as none of her teams played any games. She has Chelsea, Man City and Man UTD. It could all change for her this weekend as they are all playing this Saturday. Alice has a total of 16 goals.
The person that took Alice’s winning combination was John Morecraft. John with the Chelsea, Man City and Rangers combination, is hoping to have the success that Alice had with them last season, but John has also had two blank score sheets at the weekend with 43rd place being his highest to date with a total of 27 goals.
So Peterborough are still doing very well on the goals front with 25 goals to date. Borough are on target to beat their record breaking record of 129 goals from our 2010/11 Season. Rangers come in second place with 19 goals and Watford follow with 16.
