Five Goal City In Capital One Cup
On Tuesday night we saw two
of our top teams depart from the fourth round of the Capital One Cup and last
night we added another one.
That team was MANCHESTER UNITED who lost 3-1 on
penalties to MIDDLESBROUGH. The
result after extra time was 0-0 and that was United’s 4th blank
score sheet and now two games in a row, while Brough picked up their 6th.
Brough have now scored just three goals in their last five games but they are
now going into the next round of the cup.
But we did get another two
of our teams through. LIVERPOOL
picked up their 11th goal of the season as they beat Bournemouth 1-0
at home while MANCHESTER CITY picked
up another five goals as they win 5-1 at home to Crystal Palace. City are now
on a total of 33 goals and that is now a total of sixteen goals in their last
four games.
Capital One Cup Fourth Round
On Tuesday night we had the
fourth round of the Capital One Cup where five of our teams were in action. It was
not a good night for our Golden Goals teams as only two of
them have made it through to the next round.
EVERTON go through as they win 4-3 on penalties against NORWICH after they drew 1-1 after extra time. Everton picked up goal
number 21 while Norwich are now on 20. HULL
are also through after they also won on a penalty shoot-out 5-4 against
Leicester City. The game ended 1-1 after extra time which now gives Hull a
total of 24 goals. But the biggest news of that night was that ARSENAL went out 3-0 away to Sheffield
Wednesday to pick up their 4th blank of the season and CHELSEA lost 5-4 on penalties after
they drew 1-1 after extra time against Stoke. Chelsea are now on a total of 20
goals.
On Monday night in the
English Championship, CARDIFF picked
up their 3rd blank of the season as they drew 0-0 at home to BRISTOL CITY. Cardiff have now scored
just one goal in their last three games now. City also picked up their 3rd
blank of the season

DANIEL GOODSON is at the top for his fifth weekend. Daniel’s combination of
teams picked him up just four goals this
weekend from Manchester City 0, Middlesbrough 3 and Rangers 1 to be the first
person to reach 100 goals. He is just
two goals clear of LAURIE KING who moves into second place after his teams picked him
up a total of ten goals this week. Laurie's teams are Arsenal, Peterborough and
Rangers.
At the other end, JOHN NICHOLLS is in his eleventh
weekend at number 119 as his combination picked him up a total of just three

I had
forgotten to tell you what the average score was last weekend, which was six
goals. So for the second weekend running the average score has remained at six
goals.
We had a lack
of goals from our top English teams this weekend but all of us managed to pick
up some goals again this weekend. Out of our 57 teams that we have this season,
two that had no game and another thirteen of our teams that failed to score any
goals.
Our highest
score came from the English/Scottish
Premierships and the Scottish Championship

Celtic kept
their top spot in the premiership as they beat Dundee Utd 5-0 at home. Celtic
have only scored a total of three goals in their previous three games, so this
will help all you Celtic fans as they take their goals tally to 33. Last season
Celtic finished on a total of 110 goals. Falkirk are in third place in the
championship as they win 5-0 away to Dumbarton.
Falkirk
have also scored just two goals in their last five games. This now brings their

our 2012/13 Season they finished on a total of 64 goals.
Tottenham
picked up their highest score of the season as they beat Bournemouth 5-1 away
to put them in sixth place in the English premiership. The five goals now gives
Tottenham a total of 17 goals. They finished on 75 goals last season.
We once again have all of the top four teams here with MANCHESTER
CITY still on top after they drew 0-0 at home to local rivals MANCHESTER
UNITED away. City’s goals run of ten games has come to the end with their
very first blank score sheet of the season. United picked up their third and
they are down to fourth place. ARSENAL are still in second place as they
win 2-1 at home to EVERTON. Both Arsenal and Everton are now on 20 goals.
