We had another four of our Golden
Goals teams in Cup action and out of them we can add another two for
the next round. They are EVERTON who
won 3-1 at home against ROTHERHAM.
Everton have scored their highest result of the season after four games played and
they are now on a total of 9 goals, while Rotherham picked up goal number nine.
Also through are NOTTINGHAM FOREST.
They knocked out Newcastle 3-1 at home to score their highest result of the season
so far, and takes their goals tally up to 11 goals. PLYMOUTH are out of the cup after they lost 3-2 away to Millwall.
Plymouth are on a total of 7 goals.

Carabao/League Cup Second Round
We had a total of twenty-two
of our teams playing in the second round of the Carabao/League Cup and
out of them thirteen have made it through to the next round of the cup.
Here are the ones that have
made it through to Round Three. We had three of our teams that picked up the
highest score of four goals. They were BLACKBURN
who beat LINCOLN CITY 4-1 at home which
took their goals total up to 15 goals. Lincoln hit goal number 16. DERBY picked up their highest result of
the season by beating HULL 4-0 away.
Derby have extended their goals run to seven games and they are now on a total
of 14 goals. Hull picked up their third blank of the season and now two in a
row. LEICESTER CITY won 4-0 at home
to Fleetwood Town and with their biggest result of the season to date, City are
now on 9 goals. Meanwhile WEST HAM
went 1-0 down but fought against ten men AFC Wimbledon 3-1 away. With their
highest score of the season, West Ham are now on 5 goals. BOURNEMOUTH also picked up their biggest score as they win 3-0 at
home to MK DONS. Bournemouth are now
on 9 goals while MK Dons picked up their second blank of the season. BRENTFORD won 1-0 at home against
Cheltenham and that is their goal number 15. The shock of the night is where BURTON ALBION beat ASTON VILLA 1-0 at home. Burton are no won a total of 7 goals while
Villa picked up their first blank score sheet. FULHAM won 2-0 at home to EXETER
and they are now on 7 goals while Exeter picked up their second blank score
sheet and now two in a row. ROCHDALE
won 1-0 away to Middlesbrough and that is their 9th goal of the
season. WOLVES won 2-0 away to
Sheffield Wednesday and they take their goals tally up to 5 goals. STOKE won 2-0 at home to Huddersfield
and they are now on 8 goals. WEST BROM
won 2-1 at home against MANSFIELD
and they are now on 16 goals while Mansfield hit goal number 14. WYCOMBE have made it through after they
drew 2-2 at home after full time. They then went on to win 4-3 on penalties. Wycombe are now on a total of 7 goals.

lost 2-0 at home to Preston to pick up their first blank of the season. BRISTOL ROVERS lost 3-1 away to Queens

Tottenham on the Move
In the English Premiership, MANCHESTER
UNITED lost 3-0 at home to TOTTENHAM
with all the goals coming in the second half, to pick up their first blank score
sheet of the season. Tottenham have taken their goals tally up to 8 after three
games. Tottenham have moved up to second place while United have moved down to thirteenth
place in the league.

Week Four
In Week Four of the competition and this weekend we had two winners to
share the Weekend Jackpot of £6, winning on a total of 8 goals each. One of our
winners becomes our third lady to win this season or should I say fourth as the
deadly duo AVA
& AUBREY CLARK have joined up
together. Our other winner is MICK LIDDLE for the boys.
Ava & Aubrey are in their first Golden Goals Season and they have
started off very well. This is their second consecutive weekend were they have
picked up eight goals at the weekend. Their best team is Sunderland netting
twelve of their total of 26 goals.
Mick has been with us for quite a few seasons now and this is his highest
position to date. Mick finished in 61st place on 277 goals last
season but failed to win any cash. So a good start for him as well. Mick’s best

Most of us picked
up some more midweek goals this week with four players picking up the highest
score with six goals. . They are Martin Corbett, Graham Phillips, Ricky Wood and Ryan Williams.
We have a
new leader this week and the player is GARY BROWN with 16 goals, who was
second last week. Gary has Ayr Utd, Manchester City and Sunderland. GRAHAM HARRIS moves down to second place still with 15 goals. In third
place down from two we have JAMES
SOMERVILLE with 12 goals. In fourth place on 11 goals is still JAMES BLYTH and TERRIE WARWICK but they are now joined with MARTIN CORBETT. In fifth place on 10 goals we have RYAN WILLIAMS.

RESULTS
It was more
of a quite weekend for goals this week. Our average score for this weekend fell
from nine last weekend to 4 goals this weekend. So if your combination picked
up more than that, then you have done well.
We had just
three teams that had no game over the weekend and another ten that failed to
score any goals.
The highest
score came from the English League One
where PETERBOROUGH
picked up their highest result of our 36th Season with a 5-1 away win over PLYMOUTH. Peterborough have now taken their goals tally
up to 15 goals and are top of the league this weekend having won all of their
five league games. Plymouth picked up their fifth goal of the season.
Peterborough
became our 90th voted team in Golden Goals and they are in their
13th season with us. Borough started with us back in the 1997/98
Season where they finished on a total of 73 goals. Their highest score is 129
goals scored in the 2010/11 Season. Last season they finished on a total of 85
goals. Over the years they have netted a total of 1005 goals which gives them
an average score of 77 goals per season. They have just one blank score sheet
this season and they have just two votes.
PREMIERSHIP
The Premiership have now played their third league game of
the season but it’s all change at the top. After their win against Crystal
palace in midweek, LIVERPOOL won their third game with a 1-0 home win
against Brighton. Liverpool are now on a total of 7 goals. In second place in
the league is still CHELSEA after they won 2-1 away to Newcastle.
Chelsea are now on 8 goals and they have also won all of their three games. MANCHESTER
CITY have fallen down to fourth place after they drew 1-1 away to WOLVES
and after going a goal down in the second half. City have taken their goals
total to 9 goals while Wolves picked up goal number three. ARSENAL are on
5 goals as they beat WEST HAM 3-1 with their biggest result of the
season to date. West Ham are now rock bottom of the league after they have lost
all three games. They are on a total of 3 goals. BURNEMOUTH drew 2-2 at

As we have already told you that Peterborough are top
here with SUNDERLAND moving up to second place after they won 2-1 away
to AFC Wimbledon. PORTSMOUTH are down to third after they drew 0-0 away
to Doncaster to pick up their first blank of the season. ACCRINGTON STANLEY
drew 1-1 away to Blackpool and they are now on 8 goals while WYCOMBE won
their first game, 2-1 away to Bradford and they are on 5 goals. BRISTOL
ROVERS lost 1-0 at home to SOUTHEND to get their first blank of the
season. Southend scored goal number 8. CHARLTON drew 0-0 at home to
Fleetwood to pick up their third blank score sheet and now two in a row. Charlton
have now scored just one goal in their last four games. COVENTRY drew
1-1 away to Gillingham to pick up their third goal of the season and now only
two goals in their last five games. LUTON scored their highest result to
date after they won 3-2 at home to SHREWSBURY. Luton are now on 7 goals

In the
Scottish Premiership, HEARTS remain
top as they win 1-0 away to Kilmarnock. Hearts are now on a total of 20 goals
and they have scored in all of their eight games played. CELTIC have moved up to second place, which will please our fans
here at Golden Goals as they win 1-0 at home to HAMILTON. Celtic picked up goal number 7 while Hmailton picked up
their third blank of the season. HIBERNIAN
are in third place as they drew-1 at home to ABERDEEN in fifth place. Hibs are now on 8 goals while Aberdeen are
on 7. RANGERS could of moved up to

Gary Brown becomes the second
player to reach the number one slot this weekend. Gary moved to the top this weekend after
picking up eleven goals this week. Four of the goals came from midweek and the
other seven at the weekend from Ayr United, Manchester City and Sunderland. Gary
is just three goals in front of last weeks leader Graham Harris who picked up just one goal at the weekend from
Hearts.
At the other end at 133 we have our
2016/17 Champion John Wood who picked
up a total of three goals at the weekend. He has Arsenal, Manchester United and
Tottenham and becomes the fourth player to stay there this season.

Liverpool Second
In the English Premiership, LIVERPOOL
might think themselves a little bit lucky against Crystal Palace in their
2-0 away win, to move them up to second place in the league. Liverpool was
awarded a penalty just before half time to score their first goal. In the
second half Palace went down to ten men with fifteen minutes to go, Liverpool scored their second goal in added on time after 90 minutes with the
very last kick of the game. Still Liverpool have taken their goals tally up to

Here we are with Week Three of the competition and this
weekend we had our first Rollover of the season worth £12. The winner becomes
our second lady to win this season with a total of 16 goals. KELLIE STRATTON

RESULTS
What a
crazy weekend we had for goals this weekend. Our average score for this weekend
was 9 goals which is not a great surprise as so many of you have Celtic/Man
City combo. So if your combination picked up more than that, then you have done
well. We had seven teams that had no game over the weekend and another eight
that failed to score any goals.
The highest
score came from the English Championship
where WEST
BROM picked up the highest result of the season with
a 7-1 thrashing of Queens Park Rangers at home. The win puts them third in the
league and now on a total of 14 goals. West Brom
are our 63rd voted English team when they started in our 1986/87
Season. They finished with 54 goals. They are in their 12th
season with us and last season they scored just 41 goals which is their lowest
number of goals in a season when they were relegated from the prem last season.
West Broms highest score is 109 goals which they scored in the 2007/08 Season. Over
the seasons they have netted a total of 807 goals which gives them an average
score of 67 goals per season. They have
just four votes this season and they have scored in all of their five games
played to date.
PREMIERSHIP

3-0 away to Dundee taking their goals total up to 17 goals. HEARTS are still our best team with a

is still seven goals in front of Gary
Brown.
At the other end at 133 we have Peter Porter who picked up a total of 5
goals at the weekend. He has Arsenal, Celtic and Stoke and becomes the third
player to stay there.

Swansea Second For Now
We have had another three of
our teams in action and in the English
Championship BIRMINGHAM drew 0-0
at home to SWANSEA. Although the
point moves Birmingham up to 17th place and Swansea up to second,
Birmingham have picked up their second blank in a week after their defeat in
the cup and they have now failed to score in their last three consecutive
games. Swansea picked up their first blank of the season.
In League Two NOTTS COUNTY
lost 4-0 at home to Yeovil and that is their second blank score sheet.

Sunderland are out
We have had another one of
our Golden
Goals teams that have been knocked out of the first round of the league
cup. They are SUNDERLAND who lost
2-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday with a goal in each half. That is Sunderland’s
first blank score sheet of the season and they have a total of 13 votes.

EFL Cup First Round
We had the first round of the
EFL
Cup or also known as the Carabao Cup, where thirty-three of our teams
was in action. Out of the thirty-three, eighteen have made it through to the
second round.
The highest result of the
night went to MANSFIELD as they beat
beat ACCRINGTON STANLEY 6-1. With their biggest score of the season to date,
Mansfield are now on a total of 11 goals. Accrington picked up goal number
three.
Meanwhile NOTTINGHAM FOREST are through after
they drew 1-1 after full time and then won 10-9 on penalties against Bury. But
penalties do not count in Golden Goals, so the single goal takes their goal
tally up to 4 goals. BLACKBURN ROVERS
picked up their highest score of the season so far as they win 5-1 away to Carlisle.
Rovers are now on 7 goals. ROCHDALE
are through as they win 2-0 away to Grimsby. That takes Rochdale’s goals up to
5. LEEDS UNITED won 2-1 at home to
Bolton and they are now on a total of 9 goals. DERBY won 2-0 away to OLDHAM
and they are now on 5 goals while Oldham picked up their first blank of the
season. LINCOLN CITY are on 9 goals
as they win 4-0 away to Port vale with their biggest win to date. EXETER drew 1-1 with IPSWICH after full time and then won
4-2 on penalties. Exeter are on 6 goals while Ipswich are now on 3. ROTHERHAM won 3-1 at home to Wigan and
they are now on 5 goals. HULL drew
1-1 after full time with Sheffield United and then won 5-4 on penalties. Hull are
now on 3 goals. BURTON ALBION won
2-1 away to SHREWSBURY and they are
now on 4 goals while Shrewsbury picked up goal number 2. MK DONS beat CHARLTON
3-0 at home to take their goals tally up to 6 while Charlton picked up their
first blank of the season. BRENTFORD
won 4-2 away to SOUTHEND and they
are now on 10 goals while Southend are on 5. WYCOMBE drew 1-1 with Northampton but then won 7-6 on penalties. That
was Wycombe’s first goal of the season. ASTON
VILLA won 1-0 away to Yeovil and that goal takes them up to 7 goals. WEST BROM won 1-0 at home to LUTON and they are now on 7 goals while
Luton are out with their second blank score sheet.

out as they lost 3-1 away to Blackpool after going a goal up. Barnsley are now
on a total of 7 goals. NOTTS COUNTY
are also out as they drew 3-3 with Middlesbrough at full time but lost 4-3 on

Week Two
Here we are with Week Two of the competition and this
weekend we had a total of five winners which means that we will have our first
Rollover of the season of £12 next weekend as we are only paying out a share up
to four players each weekend. All of our five players won on a score of 10
goals and they are ALEX DAVEY, PAUL DAVEY, TONY JENKINS, ADAM SANSOM and
CHRIS SMITH.

MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
At last we
can have our first look at who is in the lead for our 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot
worth £30 this season. The prize money will go to the first person to reach 100
goals from their three teams.
Taking the
lead after week two is our leader at the moment, GRAHAM HARRIS with 14 goals. He has Hearts, Tottenham and W.B.A. In Second place we have JAMES
SOMERVILLE and GARY BROWN with
12 goals each while in third place on 8 goals is SHARRON BOWN. In fourth place is last season’s Champion CHRIS BOLBERY with 6 goals. Then we have four players on 5 goals

WEEKEND
RESULTS
So we had
our very first full weekend fixture and what a good start to the season it was.
We had just two teams with no game over the weekend with another thirteen teams
that failed to score any goals. So our very first weekend average score was 5
goals. So if your combination picked up more than that, then you have done
well.
The Highest
score over the weekend was four goals and we had a total of six of our teams
that reached that figure. They were LEEDS UNITED, LINCOLN CITY, LIVERPOOL, PETERBOROUGH,
PETERHEAD and W.B.A.
PREMIERSHIP
So the Premiership played their first league game of the
season and most of them had a great start. LIVERPOOL went straight to the top of the league after they beat WEST HAM 4-0 at home. CHELSEA
are in second place as they win 3-0 away to Huddersfield. BOURNEMOUTH
are in third place as they win 2-0 at home to Cardiff. In fourth place is Crystal
Palace which no-one has voted for this season. They beat FULHAM 2-0
away. TOTTENHAM won 2-0 away to
Newcastle while promoted WOLVES drew 2-2 at home to EVERTON.
MANCHESTER CITY have started their winning ways with a 2-0 away win over ARSENAL.
CHAMPIONSHIP
After two games now LEEDS
UNITED move up to second place behind Middlesbrough after they won 4-1 away
to DERBY. Leeds have picked up a total of 7 goals in their two games,
which makes them our best English team. Derby are now on 3 goals. ASTON
VILLA are in third place after they picked up another three goals in their
3-2 home win against Wigan. Villa are now on 6 goals. SWANSEA are in
fourth place as they win 1-0 at home to Preston and that is their third goal of
the season. BLACKBURN picked up
their first blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 at home to Millwall. BIRMINGHAM
also picked up their first blank as they lost 1-0 away to Middlesbrough. WEST
BROM scored their highest score of the season as they win 4-3 away to
Norwich and they are now on 6 goals. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 1-0 at home
to Reading and they are on 3 goals. ROTHERHAM won their first league game
of the season as they beat IPSWICH 1-0 at home. They are now on a total
of 2 goals while Ipswich picked up their first blank score sheet. HULL

their third goal of the season. COVENTRY picked up their first blank
score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to AFC Wimbledon. PORTSMOUTH won 2-1
away to Blackpool and they are on 3 goals this week. ACCRINGTON STANLEY
won their first game and first lot of goals in their 2-1 away win over BRISTOL
ROVERS who are now on 2 goals. CHARLTON won 2-1 at home against SHREWSBURY
and they are on 3 goals while Shrewsbury are now on the score sheet with their
single goal. WYCOMBE lost 3-0 away to Doncaster and that is their second
blank score sheet of the season. BURTON ALBION lost 3-1 away to
Gillingham and that is their second goal of the season. LUTON scored
their first goal of the season after they drew 1-1 at home to SUNDERLAND
who are now on 3 goals. PLYMOUTH drew 1-1 at home to SOUTHEND and
they are on 2 goals to Southend’s three. SCUNTHORPE drew 1-1 at home to
Walsall and that is their third goal of the season.

EXETER are top here as they win their
second game of the season with a 2-0 win over Morecombe away. Exeter are now on
5 goals. LINCOLN CITY are in second place as they win 4-1 at home to SWINDON.
With their biggest score to date, Lincoln are now on 5 goals while Swindon are
on four. MK DONS are in third place as they win 1-0 at home to Bury. The
Dons are now on 3 goals. NOTTS COUNTY picked up their first goals of the
season after they lost 3-2 away to Cambridge Utd. OLDHAM drew 1-1 away
to Forest Green and they are now on 2 goals. MANSFIELD drew 2-2 away to
Yeovil and they are on 5 goals this weekend.
SCOTTISH
LEAGUES
In the Scottish
Premiership, HEARTS are still top after they won their second league game
1-0 at home to CELTIC. Hearts are now
on 18 goals and a 100% scoring record after six games and they are our top team
this week while, I never thought I would ever say this but, Celtic are down to
fifth place with their first blank of the season. HIBERNIAN are in second place as they drew 1-1 away to St Johnstone
and that is their fourth goal of the season. RANGERS are in third place as they win 2-0 at home to St Mirren.
Rangers are on 3 goals. HAMILTON are
on 7 goals as they win 1-0 away to Motherwell. ABERDEEN won 1-0 away to Dundee and that is their second goal of
the season.
In the Championship ROSS COUNTY are top after they picked up their highest score of the
season with a 3-1 away win over Dunfermline. They also have a 100% scoring
record after six games. AYR UNITED
picked up their first blank as they drew 0-0 away to Inverness CT. ALLOA lost 2-0 at home to Morton and
that is their third consecutive blank score sheet. FALKIRK lost 2-1 away to Partick but they are now on a total of 5
goals.
In League One, RAITH ROVERS are in second place after they won 2-0 at home to STENHOUSEMUIR. Raith are now on 5 goals
while Stenhousemuir picked up their fourth blank of the season. DUMBARTON lost 2-0 at home to Forfar
and that is their third blank of the season.
In League Two, PETERHEAD are the only team we have here and they scored their highest
