A full Premier League
fixture is likely to then be played on the weekend of 19-21 June. Clubs are still
discussing the idea at a meeting on Thursday, but it is understood all have
agreed in principle at this stage.

Season 37
I thought that I
should keep you up to speed on what is going to happen with Golden Goals Season 37.
As you are aware
that the Scottish Season is now over and it now seems that the English leagues
one and two have also ended their season but we are still waiting to find out
if their teams go up or down this season and indeed if any of their play-offs
will happen.
So we are left with
just the English Premier League and Championship to play the rest of their
games for this season. Start time in about three week’s round about 19th
June.
We here at Golden Goals are still going to
continue with our season with just our Premier and Championship leagues teams that
will play and if any play-offs are played. This means that there will be
changes to the prize money that has been left over from our 37th Season.
I have taken the decision
in regards to the weekend prize money and the midweek 100 goals jackpot to end
any more pay outs for the rest of the season.
With the Weekend Prize Money we had a total
of six weeks left to pay out to our weekend winners but the sum of £36 will now
go to our 40th Season. Those who have already won at the weekend
will still get their winnings, which will be paid out at the end of this
season.
With the 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot which is usually
given to the first person to reach 100 midweek goals, which this season it was
worth a total of £30. This prize money will be split between next seasons 100 Midweek
Goals Jackpot and season 40.
As we do not know
yet how the fixtures will be for the rest of the season I think that this will
be the best policy to take for us all. Stay safe every one.

Celtic Confirmed as Champions
Well it looks like
finally this season is over for Golden Goals as the Scottish SPFL ended their
season today. Celtic have been confirmed as Scottish champions for the ninth
season in a row with Rangers finishing in second place. Hearts have been
relegated.
The decision was taken at a board meeting today after the 12
clubs agreed at the end of last week that completing the campaign was
unfeasible. Average points per game played has been used to determine final
placings.
So we are just waiting for the English leagues now although it looks like League Two is also now finished with Crewe becoming Champions.

More News at Last
We still are in doubt if this season will continue. In
the EFL Championship, clubs hope to gain clearance for a 25 May return to
regular training, as part of plans to resume the 2019-20 Season.
The restart might start on
the 6 June but discussions with other clubs still anticipate a 13 June date, in
line with the Premier League. League One and Two clubs will speak on Friday,
when the prospect of ending the season seems certain to move closer.
Scrapping
the rest of the season in Leagues One and Two is likely to be discussed in
another week of key meetings in the Football League.
An EFL Board meeting on
Wednesday will be followed by a meeting of all Championship clubs - then
another involving the 47 clubs from the bottom two leagues.
It is not certain if the
leagues will be formally ended this week as there are a number of issues that
will need to be resolved, not least surrounding promotion and relegation, and
the EFL is adamant no decision about the rest of the season has been made.
