After a week since the new entry forms
for Golden Goals Season 38, we have a total of just 81
entries back of which eight are new to the competition to date. After a calm
day on lunch day, things have really slowed down and the season looks like it
will be the lowest that we have had for some while which is really
disappointing. I can understand that as the coronavirus continues around the
world and the games many be stopped once again. This means that the prize money
will not be as good as it has in the last four previous seasons.
You still have time to enter your teams, but we need more players to beat our biggest season’s total of 149 players although once again we still have a lot of our regular players to send in their teams.
How are the team selection looking now?
We now have thirty-nine English teams with Manchester City still picking up the most votes with 51. In second place we have Liverpool now with 22 votes. Third place is Chelsea with 19 votes while in fourth place we have Arsenal and Manchester United both with 10 votes each. We even have the new boys to the league and they are Harrogate Town with just one vote to date.We now have eight teams at the moment from our Scottish leagues with Celtic still leading the votes once again with 42. Rangers are second with 9 votes. All the others still have just one vote each.
It’s also a shame that no-one outside
of the competition is even interested in joining in. Not even from the UK.
So if you do want to join in quick,
send me an email to goldengoals1983@gmail.com to get your entry
form. It cost just £8 to enter.
