Rangers Beat Their Rivals

In the Premiership, Champions CELTIC lost their first league game, 3-0 away to rivals RANGERS. Celtic picked up their second blank of the season, while Rangers in second place, are now on a total of 44 goals and have now extended their goal run to 13 league/cup games. ROSS COUNTY won 2-1 away to Aberdeen and are on a total of 31 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 legaue/cup games. HEARTS won 1-0 at home to Motherwell and are on a total of 24 goals. KILMARNOCK won 2-0 at home to St Mirren and are on a total of 25 goals. DUNDEE lost 2-1 at home to rivals Dundee United and picked up goal number 54. 

In the English League Two, AFC WIMBLEDON have moved up to second place after they won 2-1 away to Newport County. Wimbledon are on a total of 42 goals. BROMLEY won 3-0 away to Gillingham and are now on a total of 41 goals.

New Year's Day Results

The first games of 2025 have now been played and we had 22 of our teams in action. Here are their results. 

In the Premier League, ARSENAL have moved into second place after they won 3-1 away to Brentford. Arsenal are now on a total of 49 goals. 

In the Championship LEEDS UNITED go top of the table after they drew 1-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers. BURNLEY move up to second place after they drew 0-0 at home to Stoke City and that is their tenth blank of the season and now 2 games without a goal. SHEFFIELD UNITED lost 2-1 away to Sunderland and are on a total of 38 goals. MILLWALL lost 1-0 at home to OXFORD UNITED and picked up their tenth blank of the season and now 2 games in a row without a goal. Oxford are on a total of 29 goals. LUTON TOWN lost 1-0 at home to NORWICH CITY and picked up their seventh blank score sheet. Norwich are on a total of 45 goals and have now scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games. PORTSMOUTH picked up another four goals in their 4-0 home win against SWANSEA CITY. Portsmouth have taken their goals tally to 30 while Swansea picked up their tenth blank of the season after a goal run of 9 league/cup games. PRESTON NE lost 3-1 away to WBA and hit goal number 35  and have now scored in all of their last 8 league/cup games. MIDDLESBROUGH won 1-0 away to Hull City and are on a total of 45 goals. 

In League One BIRMINGHAM CITY have dropped down to second place after they drew 1-1 away to Stockport. City are on a total of 42 goals. WREXHAM in third place lost 2-1 away to BARNSLEY and are on a total of 38 goals and have now scored in all of their last 9 league/cup games. Barnsley are on 41. It’s 40 goals for BLACKPOOL after they drew 1-1 at home to Shrewsbury. BOLTON lost 2-1 away to Mansfield and are on a total of 38 goals. PETERBOROUGH drew 2-2 away to Burton and are on a total of 49 goals. 

In League Two DONCASTER ROVERS are in second place after they won 2-1 at home to Fleetwood and are on a total of 39 goals. CHESTERFIELD lost 2-1 at home to MK DONS and are on 42 goals. Dons are on a total of 36 goals. NOTTS COUNTY lost 2-1 at home to Walsall and are on a total of 47 goals.
