In Week Four of the competition we had two winner's to share the £5 weekend prize money on a score of just 6 goals each. Our winner's are RICHIE WILLIAMS and MANDY WRIGHT which takes our winner's total to 6.
Richie is in his third season with us and started in the 2023/24 Season. In his first season he finished in 70th place out of 110 with a total of 286 goals. He picked up one shared weekend win. Last season he finished in 105th out of 111 with a total of 222 goals. This season he has been as high as 18th place in Week One. His best team is Bristol City.
Mandy started with Golden Goals back in the 2002/03 Season but has not been in everyone single one till of late. In her first season, Mandy finished in 78th place out of 89 with a total of 259 goals. She picked up two weekend wins. Last season Mandy finished in 113th place out of 114 with a total of 181 goals. This season after being bottom for the first three weeks, shoots up to her highest position. Mandy has picked up just one blank weekend score sheet and her best team is Brighton. 100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
We had a bit of movement in the top five this week with a new leader for our 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot worth £25 this season. It was BARBARA BARNES (1) that picked up the most midweek goals with 9. They came from Brighton and Wrexham. Manchester City are her third team. In the lead this week we have EMMAF moving up from two, now with a total of 29 goals. In second place we now have last week’s leader DAVID BARRETT with 28 goals. In third place we still have HAYLEY ADKINS and BISH-BASH-BOSH (Keith Rattle) still both on a total of 25 goals. In fourth place we have our 2005/06 Champion, KEAMUS SETNA with 20 goals. In fifth place we have GUY DOWSETT (1) moving down one with a total of 19 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had another full weekend fixture and although we had a few high scores, it was another very disappointing weekend. We had just 2 teams with no game over the weekend and another 18 of our teams that failed to score any goals. So for our fourth weekend the average score went down from four last weekend to just 2 goals this weekend. If your combination picked up more than that, then you have done very well this weekend.
The highest score over the weekend was 4 goals and we had two of our team's that picked them up. They were BRISTOL CITY and CARDIFF CITY. Let’s get on with the results to see how your teams have performed this weekend.
PREMIER LEAGUE
After their third league game, LIVERPOOL are top after they won 1-0 at home to ARSENAL. Liverpool have won all of their opening three games and are on 8 goals, while Arsenal picked up their first blank score sheet. In second place, CHELSEA won 2-0 at home to Fulham and are on a total of 7 goals. SUNDERLAND won 2-1 at home against Brentford and are on a total of 6 goals. TOTTENHAM lost 1-0 at home to AFC BOURNEMOUTH and picked up their first blank score sheet. Bournemouth are on a total of 4 goals. WOLVES lost 3-2 at home to Everton and are on a total of 5 goals. BRIGHTON won 2-1 at home against MANCHESTER CITY and are on a total of 9 goals while City are on a total of 5 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED have won their first league game 3-2 at home against Burnley. With United’s biggest win of the season, they are now on a total of 6 goals. NEWCASTLE UNITED are still without a win after they drew 0-0 away to Leeds Utd. Newcastle have now picked up two blank score sheets in three games. WEST HAM have won their first league game 3-0 away to NOTTINGHAM FOREST. With their biggest result to date, West Ham are on a total of 6 goals as Forest pick up their first blank of the season. ASTON VILLA have still yet to win as they lose 3-0 at home to CRYSTAL PALACE. As Villa picked up their third consecutive blank score sheet, Palace won their first league game and are now on a total of 4 goals.
CHAMPIONSHIP
It’s four wins out of four for MIDDLESBROUGH now in first place after they won 1-0 at home to SHEFFIELD UNITED. Middlesbrough are on a total of 7 goals while United picked up their third consecutive blank score sheet. BLACKBURN ROVERS lost 2-0 at home to NORWICH CITY and that is their second blank of the season. Norwich are on a total of 8 goals. BRISTOL CITY picked up another four goals in their 4-2 home win against Hull. Bristol have taken their goals tally up to 11 goals. IPSWICH TOWN drew 2-2 at home to Derby and are on a total of 5 goals. WREXHAM have won their first league game 2-0 away to Millwall and are on a total of 10 goals and a goal run of 6 league/cup games. After they had scored in all of their last 5 league/cup games, PRESTON NE lost 1-0 away to Portsmouth to pick up their very first blank of the season. WATFORD drew 2-2 at home to SOUTHAMPTON and are on a total of 6 goals while Southampton are on 10 goals and they have now scored in all of their 6 league/cup games.
LEAGUE ONE
CARDIFF CITY are still top of the table after they won 4-0 at home to PLYMOUTH. With their biggest result of the season, Cardiff have taken their goals tally to 16 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. Plymouth picked up their third blank of the season. HUDDERSFIELD TOWN lost 3-1 away to Barnsley and picked up goal number 14. They have now scored in all of their 8 league/cup games. After they had failed to score in their last two games, BLACKPOOL drew 1-1 at home to BOLTON and hit goal number 7. Bolton are on 9 goals and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. LUTON TOWN picked up their biggest win of the season, 3-0 away to Burton. Luton are now on a total of 8 goals. PETERBOROUGH are still without a win after they lost 3-0 away to Exeter. That is boroughs fourth blank of the season and now just 2 goals in their last 6 league/cup games. LEYTON ORIENT lost 1-0 at home to Northampton and picked up their third blank score sheet. Still no wins for WYCOMBE picked up their second blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 away to Stevenage. STOCKPORT COUNTY drew 1-1 away to Wigan and are on a total of 13 goals.
LEAGUE TWO
GILLINGHAM are top of the table this week after they won 1-0 away to Oldham. Gillingham are on a total of 10 goals and they have scored in all of their 7 league/cup games. CHESTERFIELD are still in second place after they drew 2-2 at home to Crawley and are on a total of 11 goals. BROMLEY are in third place after they won 2-0 at home to Harrogate and have now scored in all of their last 7 league/cup games. Bromley are on a total of 12 goals. CREWE lost 3-0 at home to SWINDON TOWN and picked up their second consecutive blank score sheet. Swindon are now on a total of 12 goals. BARNET drew 1-1 at home to Colchester and are on a total of 7 goals. MK DONS picked up their third blank score sheet after they lost 1-0 at home to WALSALL. Walsall are on a total of 6 goals. NOTTS COUNTY won 2-1 away to Tranmere and are on a total of 11 goals.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership, CELTIC are still top of the table after they drew in their old firm game, 0-0 away to RANGERS. Both Celtic and Rangers have picked up their first blank of the season, Rangers have drawn all of their four league games. HEARTS in second place won 2-1 away to Livingston and are on a total of 27 goals and have now scored in all of their 9 league/cup games. HIBERNIAN are in third place after they drew 1-1 at home to St Mirren and picked up goal number 7
In the Championship, after they had failed to score in their last 2 games, AYR UNITED drew 2-2 away to Greenock Morton and are on a total of 17 goals. ROSS COUNTY have still yet to win as they lost 3-1 at home to Partick. County are on a total of 16 goals.
In League One STENHOUSEMUIR drew 1-1 at home to EAST FIFE and picked up goal number 8 while Fife are on a total of 11 goals. COVE RANGERS are still looking for their first win after they drew 0-0 away to Hamilton. Rangers have picked up their fourth blank of the season.
In League Two, CLYDE are still waiting for their first league win after they drew 0-0 at home to Elgin City. Clyde picked up their third blank of the season. DUMBARTON lost 2-1 at home to Edinburgh City and are on a total of 12 goals. They have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games.

Our worst performing team is PETERBOROUGH UNITED this weekend, as they have picked up 4 blank score sheets in their 7 league/cup games of the season. They have just 3 goals.
Our highest goal scoring team in our 43rd Season are ROSS COUNTY. They won 8-0 at home against Edinburgh City in the first round group stages of the Scottish League Cup in Week One.
DAVID BARRETT is at the top again this weekend for the fourth consecutive weekend after he picked up a total of 6 goals from the week. David’s teams are Celtic, Hearts and Liverpool. He is now 3 goals clear of Hayley Adkins in second place. Hayley picked up a total of 7 goals this week and her teams are Hearts, Liverpool and Manchester City.
At the other end at 111 we now have ANN WELLARD with her first weekend as she picked up her second blank score sheet of the season. Ann has Aston Villa, Celtic and Sheffield United.
