WEEK THIRTY-THREE

 

We are now down to any of our top four people that all could be our next champion of Golden Goals. But Chris Nunn has jumped back to the top this weekend after his combinations of teams picked him up a total of 15 goals. Chris has in his combination Arsenal, Man City and Rangers.
Paul Davey is still in second place but because of the weekend goals, Paul stay’s second again. Paul has already spent one weekend at the top and his combination did well again this week. Paul picked up a total of tweleve goals for the week with Man City, Rangers and Wolves.
In the 103 spot we still have Malcolm Cormack who has now been there for eight weeks, and now nine over the season. Malcolm picked up just two goals again this week from his teams of Charlton, Portsmouth and Swindon. Above him in 102 John Dove has returned after his teams picked him up just  three goals and twenty-two goals in front of Malcolm.
Rangers still have that 100% scoring record as they have now stretched their total to thirty-six games, as they win 2-1 away to Brechin.
We had a fantastic  weekend for our teams in Golden Goals. It was Chelsea and Liverpool  that scored the highest amount of goals with six each.  Chelsea won 6-0 at home to London rivals Arsenal while Liverpool won 6-3 away to Cardiff. With both teams picking up their biggest win of the season, Chelse are now on 70 goals while Liverpool are on 91.
In the Premiership, As I have already said what a great weekend we had for goals from the Golden Goals selections this weekend. Chelsea are top with Liverpool still in second place. Manchester City are now third as they win 5-0 at home to Fulham. City are now on 111 goals. Arsenal are down to fourth place with Tottenham in fifth as they win 3-2 at home to Southampton to take their goals total to 47. Everton won 3-2 at home to Swansea and are now on 59 goals while Swansea are now on 46. Manchester United are on 59 goals as they beat West Ham 2-0 away. Aston Villa picked up goal number 37 as they lost 4-1 at home to Stoke. Cyrstal Palace lost 1-0 away to Newcastle and picked up their 16th blank of the season. Palace have now scored just four goals in their last seven games.
In the Championship Leicester City remains top again this weekend as they drew 1-1 away to Blackburn. City are now on 84 goals, which is more than they scored last season.We still have three teams in the play-off zone and they are QPR who won 3-1 away to Middlesbrough. Rangers are now on 48 goals while Brough hit goal number 46. Wigan won 2-1 at home to Watford and are now on 62 goals and doing very well. They have now scored in all of their last ten games. Watford scored goal number 65. Reading are also there as they win 2-1 away to Birmingham. Reading are now on 58 while Birmingham are on 61. Nottingham Forest are just outside the zone but they lost 5-0 away to Derby. Forest picked up their 7th blank score sheet and now two games in a row. Bournemouth picked up their 50th goal of the season as they win 1-0 away to Barnsley. Blackpool are on 33 goals as they win 1-0 at home to Huddersfield. Charlton lost 3-0 at home to Burnley and picked up their 17th blank of the season. Doncaster are on 37 as they win 1-0 at home against Sheff Wed while Bolton after a two games dry spell, drew 2-2 away to Yeovil. Bolton are now on 54 goals.
The three best teams to date in Golden Goals are Man City wth 111 goals followed by Rangers now on 104. Liverpool are third now with 91 goals.
Crystal Palace are still our worst team to date with a total of just 23 goals out of a total of 33 league/cup games.
