France and Germany Quarter-final

It’s another day at the Brazilian World Cup 2014 in the Second Round games and we have another two of our Golden Goals nations through to the next round.

FRANCE are the winners from Group E and they had won just two of their three games from the first round and then drew 0-0 with Ecuador in their third and final game. They took on the runners up from Group F NIGERIA. They had started off this tournament very well in the first round. They drew 0-0 with Iran and then won against Bosnia 1-0 and then lost 3-2 against Argentina.  This was a very tough game for the French but with two late goals, France go through to the quarter-finals by winning 2-0. France are now on a goals tally of 10 goals. Nigeria go home with a total of 3 goals.
In the other game of the day, GERMANY winners of Group G played the runners up of Group H Algeria. This should have been an easy game for Germany after they won two of the first round games and drew the other. But that was not the case to be. Algeria put up a great fight after they drew 0-0 after 90 minutes. But Germany came out the best in the end with a 2-1 win in extra time. Germany are now on a total of 9 goals.
So the third Quarter-final game is confirmed as FRANCE against GERMANY to be played on 4th July.
Our goals total now stands at 104 goals for the tournament.
Best four teams to date are HOLLAND (12) COLOMBIA (11) FRANCE (10) GERMANY (9) Total of 42 goals.
