More Teams - More Goals

We had more of our Golden Goals teams in action last night with their second game of the week.
In the English Premiership EVERTON drew 2-2 away to Hull and they are now on a total of 29 goals.
In the Championship, NEWCASTLE take their goals tally up to 59 as they beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at home. In League One MILLWALL won 2-1 at home against GILLINGHAM and puts them on a total of 50 goals while Gillingham hit goal number 42. MK DONS after a two game dry spell for goals, won 3-2 at home against Swindon. The goals give the Dons a total of 40 goals. PORT VALE picked up their 33rd goal of the season after a two game dry spell to beat Chesterfield 1-0 at home. In League Two YEOVIL drew 0-0 at home against PORTSMOUTH to pick up their ninth blank score sheet of the season and Portsmouth’s fifth.

In the Scottish Premiership ABERDEEN picked up goal number 40 as they win 1-0 away to Hearts.

Villa And Leeds Drew

In the English Championship, ASTON VILLA and LEEDS UNITED played their second game in a week after they both won their games on Boxing Day. But there was no big result in this game as Aston Villa drew 1-1 at home against Leeds. The goal gives Villa a total of 27 while Leeds picked up goal number 37.

Five Teams - Nine Goals

In the English Premiership TOTTENHAM have taken their goals total to 39 as they beat SOUTHAMPTON 4-1 away. Southampton picked up goal number 23.

In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC have extended their lead and probably another champion title under their belt as they win 2-0 at home to Ross County. Celtic are now on a total of 63 goals and sixteen points in front of Rangers with a game in hand. RANGERS are losing touch with the leaders Celtic as they drew 1-1 away to St JOHNSTONE. Rangers are now on a total of 47 goals while St Johnstone are on 39.

Liverpool Second

LIVERPOOL have moved up to second place in the English Premiership as they beat STOKE 4-1 at home. Liverpool are now on a total of 57 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. Stoke picked up goal number 25.
In the Championship BRIGHTON won 3-0 at home to QUEENS PARK RANGERS to take their goals tally up to 47 while Rangers have now failed to score in their last four games and another blank score sheet means that they are now on a total of nine. DERBY picked up goal number 26 as they beat Birmingham 1-0 at home. Derby have now scored in all of their last nine games.
In Scotland in their premiership ABERDEEN won 2-1 at home to Hamilton and they are now on a total of 39 goals while KILMARNOCK picked up blank number ten as they lost 4-0 away to Hearts. Kilmarnock have now scored just one goal in their last four games..

Boxing Day Results

We had forty of our Golden Goals teams in action on Boxing Day and out of them twelve failed to score any goals. The highest score that we had was four goals and we had three of our teams that picked up that score.

In the English Premiership it was WEST HAM UNITED that picked up the highest score with them four goals as they beat Swansea 4-1 away. It’s West Ham’s highest score of the season and the goals take their goals total to 27 and moves them up to 13th place in the league. CHELSEA are still top as they win 3-0 at home to BOURNEMOUTH. Chelsea are now on 46 goals while Bournemouth picked up their fifth blank of the season. MANCHESTER CITY are second as they win 3-0 away to Hull and moves their goals tally up to 41. ARSENAL are down to fourth place as they win just 1-0 at home to West Brom, That was Arsenal’s 45th goal. MANCHESTER UNITED are in sixth place as they win 3-1 at home to Sunderland and takes their goals total to 35. It’s 27 for EVERTON as they win 2-0 away to LEICESTER CITY. City picked up their fifth blank of the season.

In the Championship NEWCASTLE are still top after they lost 1-0 at home to SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. That was Newcastle’s fourth blank score sheet while Wednesday picked up goal number 28. LEEDS UNITED are still in fourth place as they picked up their biggest win of the season by winning 4-1 away to PRESTON. Leeds are now on 36 goals while Preston hit goal number 37. ASTON VILLA won 2-1 at home to Burton  to bringing their goals tally up to 26 while BRENTFORD are now on 29 goals as they drew 2-2 at home against CARDIFF who are now on 26 goals. NORWICH picked up goal number 48 but they lost 3-1 away to Reading.
WOLVES won 3-2 at home to Bristol City and they are now on a total of 35 goals.

In League One SCUNTHORPE are still top after they drew 0-0 away to BRADFORD to pick up their third blank of the season while Bradford picked up their eighth. Bradford have scored just two goals in their last six games. SHEFFIELD UNITED are in second place as they win 2-0 at home to OLDHAM. United are now on 51 goals while Oldham picked up their fifteenth blank and now two in a row. BRISTOL ROVERS picked up another four goals as they win 4-1 at home to Coventry. Rovers are now on 46 goals. MILLWALL won 2-0 at home against Swindon and that takes them up to 48 goals. CHARLTON are now on 32 goals as they win 1-0 away to MK DONS. The Dons picked up their eighth blank of the season and now two games in a row. PETERBOROUGH picked up their 46th goal of the season as they drew 1-1 at home to GILLINGHAM who are now on 41 goals. WALSALL won 1-0 away to PORT VALE and that was goal number 26 for them while Vale picked up blank number eight and now two games in a row. SOUTHEND won 3-0 at home to AFC Wimbledon and they are now on 35 goals.

In League Two DONCASTER are back on top as they win 1-0 away to Notts County and that was their 46th goal. PLYMOUTH are now second as they drew 3-3 at home to Wycombe. Plymouth are now on 38 goals. PORTSMOUTH are in fourth place as they win 3-2 away to Newport and they are now on 39 goals while LUTON picked up their fifth blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 at home to COLCHESTER who are now on 31 goals. It’s 27 goals for LEYTON ORIENT as they won 3-2 at home to Crawley. ACCRINGTON picked up blank number ten as they lost 2-0 away to Grimsby. Accrington have now failed to score in their last three games.  YEOVIL are on their eighth blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 at home to Exeter.

In Scotland in their League One STENHOUSEMUIR won 2-0 away to PETERHEAD. Stenhousemuir are now on a total of 31 goals while Peterhead picked up their eighth blank score sheet and now two in a row..

Week Twenty-One

It’s Week Twenty-one of Season 34 and it is a very slow start to the second half. This weekend we had a total of four players that picked up this weekends highest score with just four goals each. They are ADRIAN BEW, JAMES HUNTER, ROBERT NETTING and CHRIS NUNN.
As we said on last weeks sheet that we will have a Rollover for next weekend for £12 PLUS we will have our Christmas Jackpot of £20 making a total grand jackpot total of £32.  

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT  
Well over half of us managed to pick up some more goals this week so once again this week we see a bit of a change in the race for the cash this weekend as DARYL NICHOLLS is still in the lead now with 71 goals. In second place on 68 goals we still have GRANT PHILLIPS. In third place down from two we have MANGO and DAVID SMITHERS both on 67 goals. In fourth place on 66 goals we still have CHRIS SETFORD but DANIEL GOODSON joins him as he moves down from third place. Still in fifth place with 64 goals is STEPTOE & SON while in sixth place both on atotal of 63 goals we have MALCOLM CORMACK down from five while IAN SMITH comes back in the race for the cash.
The good news this weekend is that we now have a total of thirty-seven players that are now over the 50 goals mark. 

WEEKEND RESULTS 
We only had three of our teams in action over the weekend and as you will have noticed that it was the Christmas weekend with only a couple of Scottish league in action on Christmas Eve.

SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Scottish Premiership CELTIC remained top after their won 3-0 away to Hamilton to go fourteen points clear of rivals Rangers. Celtic have kept their 100% goal run after all twenty-two games and they are now on a total of 61 goals. Celtic have now won seventeen of their eighteen league games played. RANGERS are still in second place after their 1-0 home win against Inverness. Rangers goal now gives them a total of 46 goals and they have won just eleven of their nineteen league games played.
In the Championship HIBEERNIAN are now down to second place as they drew 1-1 at home to Raith. Hibs are now on 31 goals.

Our Worst Three Teams Are

Our Best team on form is still CELTIC after they have scored in all of their twenty-two League and Cup games played and netting a total of 57 goals which still gives them an average score of just under three goals per game.

Our worst teams is  OLDHAM  this weekend as they have picked up a total of fourteen blank score sheets out of twenty-five games played.

Our highest goal scorers in our 34th Season are  LUTON after they won 6-2 at home to non-league Solihull Moors in the FA CUP 2nd Round in week eighteen. LIVERPOOL winning 6-1 at home against Watford in the league in week fourteen and SHEFFIELD UNITED winning 6-0 at home to LEYTON ORIENT in the 1st Round of the FA Cup also in week fourteen. BOURNEMOUTH  after their 6-1 home win against Hull in the league in week eleven.  CELTIC with their 6-1 home League win against Kilmarnock from week eight. NEWCASTLE winning 6-0 away to Q. P. R in the league in week seven and 6-1 away to Preston in the EFL League Cup 4th Round in week thirteen.  NORWICH by winning 6-1 at home to Coventry in the EFL League Cup 2nd Round in week four.

DANIEL GOODSON is now in his eighth weekend at the top and now nine weeks over the season. His combination picked him up a total of five goals over the week with two coming from midweek and the other three at the weekend. They came from Celtic as Liverpool and Newcastle had no game over the weekend. Dan has again extended his lead from June Tighe as she remains in second place after picking up a total of four goals for the week. Dan is now four goals clear of  June. Her teams are once again Celtic, Newcastle and Sheffield United.

At the other end at 136 we still have SANDRA NICHOLLS as her combination had no games at all over the whole week. Sandra is now in her tenth weekend at the bottom over the season and now seven weekends in a row. Sandra’s teams are Everton, Leicester City and Manchester United and she is still just one goal behind 135.

ABERDEEN picked up the highest score of last night’s games in Scotland as they beat Motherwell 3-1 away. Aberdeen are now on a total of 37 goals. KILMARNOCK picked up their ninth blank score sheet of the season as they lost 1-0 at home to St JOHNSTONE. St Johnstone picked up their 38th goal of the season.

Another FA Cup Second Round Replay

We have had two more of our teams that have make it through to the third round of the FA Cup this week as PLYMOUTH are out last team to join them. Plymouth won 1-0 away to Newport in their second round replay and that single goals now give Plymouth a total of 35 goals.

Meanwhile in the English League One in the local London derby, MILLWALL beat their London rivals CHARLTON 3-1 at home to take their goals tally up to 46 goals while Charlton picked up goal number 31.

FA Cup Second Round Replay

Golden Goals has another one of its teams going through to the next round of the FA Cup as PETERBOROUGH beat Notts County 2-0 at home in the Second Round Replay. Peterborough are now on a total of 45 goals.

We also had two of our Scottish teams in action and they were from the Premiership where CELTIC won 1-0 at home to Partick and that was their 58th goal of the season and that also keeps their 100% goals run in-tact.
In League One STENHOUSEMUIR lost 1-0 at home to East Fife and that was their sixth blank score sheet of the season.

Liverpool In Second Place

LIVERPOOL have moved up to second place in the English Premiership as they beat local rivals EVERTON 1-0 away.  Liverpool take their goals total to 53 while Everton picked up their fifth blank score sheet of the season.

Week Twenty And Half-Time


It’s Week Twenty of Season 34 and it is half time which means that we are half way through this seasons competition already.  This weekend we had a total of twenty-three players that picked up this weekends highest score of six goals each.
So that now means that it is a Rollover for next weekend. But as there are no games being played over next weekend except for a few Scottish teams,  it will Rollover again for the weekending 1st January 2017 which will include our Christmas jackpot of £20. So what does this mean? Well the winner in that weekend will pick up a fantastic sum of £32.  

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
All of us managed to pick up some more goals this week with two players picking up the highest score with eight goals each. They are  Keith Thomson and Colin Webb. Both had Liverpool as part combination with MK Dons and rangers for Keith while Colin had Manchester City and Tottenham.
So we see more changes this week for the race for the cash this weekend as DARYL NICHOLLS is still in the lead with 70 goals. In joint second place all on 67 goals we have GRANT PHILLIPS and DAVID SMITHERS plus MANGO who moved up from three. In third place up from five we have DANIEL GOODSON with 64 goals while still in fourth place we have CHRIS SETFORD with a total of 63 goals. In fifth place with 62 goals we have STEPTOE & SON down from fourth place with TONY GUY (2) up from sixth place and straight in to join them is MALCOLM CORMACK.
The good news this weekend is that we now have a total of thirty-five players that are now over the 50 goals mark.

WEEKEND RESULTS
After having a couple of fantastic weekends for goals, this weekend was a very sad a fair with the average score falling down to 4 goals. There were no really high scores this weekend but we had five teams that had now game and another twelve teams that failed to score any. The highest score that we had over the weekend was just three goals from three teams that have one vote each. They were CARDIFF, SCUNTHORPE and SOUTHAMPTON.

PREMIERSHIP
We have all of the seven top teams here with CHELSEA still staying on top of the premiership this weekend as they win again just 1-0 away to Crystal palace. Chelsea are on a total of 43 goals and they are now seven points clear of  MANCHESTER CITY who have moved up to second place after they won 2-1 at home against ARSENAL who now drop down to fourth place. City take their goals tally to 38 while Arsenal hit goal number 44. Liverpool are down to third place while TOTTENHAM stay in fifth place as they win 2-1 at home to Burnley. Tottenham are now on 35 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED remained in sixth place as they win 2-0 away to West Brom. United are now on 32 goals.
SOUTHAMPTON have moved up to seventh place after they beat BOURNEMOUTH 3-1 away. Southampton take their goals total to 22 while Bournemouth are on 27. Ten man LEICESTER CITY drew 2-2 away to STOKE after going down 2-0 by half time. The goals give Leicester a total of 25 while Stoke are now on 24. WEST HAM are on 23 goals as they win 1-0 at home against Hull. 

CHAMPIONSHIP
We still have four of the top six here this weekend with NEWCASTLE remaining on top and a point clear as they win 2-1 away to Burton. Newcastle are now on a total of 56 goals. BRIGHTON are still in second place as they win 2-1 away to Birmingham. Brighton take their goals total to 44. LEEDS UNITED are in fifth place as they win 1-0 at home to BRENTFORD. Leeds are now on 32 goals while Brentford picked up their eighth blank of the season. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are in sixth place as they win 1-0 at home to Rotherham. That was Wednesday’s 27th goal of the season. It’s 36 goals for PRESTON as they win 2-1 away to Bristol City. CARDIFF picked up the highest score for us here as they lost 4-3 at home to Barnsley. Cardiff are now on 24 goals while DERBY are on 25 as they drew 2-2 away to Fulham. Derby have scored in all of their last eight games. WOLVES won 2-0 away to Nottingham Forest to take their goals total to 32. QUEENS PARK RANGERS picked up their eighth blank score sheet and now three ion a row as they lost 1-0 at home to ASTON VILLA who are now on 24 goals.

LEAGUE ONE
We have four of the top six teams here again with SCUNTHORPE on top as they win 3-0 at home to MILLWALL. Scunthorpe are now on a total of 50 goals and they have scored in all of their last nine games. Millwall picked up their fifth blank score sheet and now two in a row. Sheffield United are still in second place with BRADFORD in fourth place as they drew 1-1 away to WALSALL. Walsall are now on 25 goals. PETERBOROUGH are in sixth place as they win 2-0 away to CHARLTON. Borough are now on 43 goals while Charlton picked up their eighth blank score sheet and just one goal from their last four games. PORT VALE picked up their seventh blank of the season after they lost 4-0 away to AFC Wimbledon. MK DONS lost 1-0 away to GILLINGHAM and that was their seventh blank while Gillingham picked up goal number 40.
SOUTHEND won 2-0 away to OLDHAM and they are now on 32 goals while Oldham picked up their fourteenth blank score sheet of the season. BRISTOL ROVERS picked up their fourth blank score sheet after they lost 2-0 away to Shewsbury.  

LEAGUE TWO 
We have four of the top seven again in this league with PLYMOUTH on top after they won 1-0 away to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. Plymouth are now on 34 goals while Accrington picked up their ninth blank and now only four goals in their last seven games. Although DONCASTER are in third place but win 1-0 at home to Grimsby. That was Doncasters 45th goal of the season. In fourth place we still have PORTSMOUTH as they drew 0-0 at home to Hartlepool to pick up their fourth blank of the season.  In fifth place is LUTON as they win 2-0 away to Blackpool. Luton take their goal tally to 43. YEOVIL picked up goal number 30 as they lost 2-1 away to Carlisle. COLCHESTER are on 30 goals after they won 2-1 at home to Notts County. LEYTON ORIENT picked up their ninth blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 away to Wycombe.

In the Scottish Premiership CELTIC remained top after their win 2-1 at home to Dundee. Celtic still have a 100% goal run after all twenty games. Rangers are still in second place after their win on Friday night with ABERDEEN in third place after they lost 2-1 away to Ross County. Aberdeen are now on 34 goals. St JOHNSTONE  picked up goal number 37 as they drew 1-1 at home to Motherwwell. KILMARNOCK drew 1-1 at home to Inverness to picked up goal 28.
In the Lower leagues FALKIRK lost 2-1 away to Dumbartom but that now gives them a total of 29 goals while top of the table HIBERNIAN drew 1-1 away to Morton. Hibs are now on a total of 30 goals. Rangers Still Second

Last night RANGERS in the Scottish Premiership kept their sight on Celtic as they won 2-1 away to Hamilton. The goals now give Rangers a total of 45 goals.

In the English Championship NORWICH lost 2-1 at home to Huddersfield and picked up goal number 47.

Sheffield United Are Still Second

SHEFFIELD UNITED are still in second place in the English League One after they beat Coventry 2-1 away. The two goals take’s United’s goals tally to 49. United still have a long way to go to beat their record number of goals which was set in the 2011/12 Season with 104 goals. Last season they picked up a total of 69.

The Christmas Build-up Continues

We had another lot of our Golden Goals teams in action and most of them did pick up some more goals for us.
In the English Premiership MANCHESTER UNITED won 2-1 away to Crystal place and that now means that United are finally at the 30 goal mark. MANCHESTER CITY are now on 36 goals as they win 2-0 at home to Watford. It’s 52 goals for LIVERPOOL as they win 3-0 away to Middlesbrough. Liverpool have  now scored ten goals in their last four games. STOKE picked up their fourth blank score sheet of the season as they drew 0-0 at home to SOUTHAMPTON who have now had a total of six blank score sheets and just one goal in their last three games. CHELSEA picked up their 42nd goal of the season as they won 1-0 away to Sunderland. TOTTENHAM won 3-0 at home to Hull and they are now on 33 goals while WEST HAM picked up their 22nd goal with a 1-0 home win against Burnley. West Ham have now scored in all of their last six games.

In the English Championship PRESTON drew 1-1 to Nottingham Forest and they are now on a total of 34 goals. DERBY won 1-0 away to QUEENS PARK RANGERS and that gives Derby a total of 23 goals while Rangers picked up their seventh blank score sheet and now two in a row. NEWCASTLE are on 54 goals as they win 2-0 away to Wigan.

MK Dons Through To Next Round Of Cup

MK DONS have finally beaten CHARLTON in their second round replay in the FA CUP after they drew their first game 0-0. The three goals take’s MK Dons goal tally to 25 while Charltons goal gives them a total of 30.

But we had plenty more of our teams in league action with four teams from the English Premiership. EVERTON have moved up to 7th place in the league as they beat ARSENAL 2-1 at home. Everton are now on a total of 25 goals while Arsenal hit goal number 43. BOURNEMOUTH are now on 26 goals as they win 1-0 at home against LEICESTER CITY. City picked up their fourth blank score sheet of the season.
In the English Championship, BRIGHTON are now on 42 goals as they win 3-2 away to Blackburn. BRENTFORD are on 27 goals as they won 1-0 away to Bristol City. It’s 21 goals for CARDIFF as they win 2-1 at home against WOLVES who are now on 30 goals. LEEDS UNITED won 2-0 at home against Reading  to take their goals tally up to 31. NORWICH won 1-0 at home to ASTON VILLA and that gives them a total of 46 goals while Villa picked up their sixth blank of the season. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY won 2-0 at home and they are now on 26 goals

In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC are pulling away from Rangers as they win 1-0 at home to Hamilton and they are now on a total of 55 and that keeps their 100% goal run in-tacked.
In League One STENHOUSEMUIR after their big win at the weekend lost 4-0 at home to Livingston. That was their fifth blank of the season.

No Goals Gillingham

In the English League One GILLINGHAM could not improve on their position in that league as they lost 4-0 away to Bolton. Gillingham have now dropped down to 17th place and that was their fifth blank of the season.

Week Nineteen

It’s Week Nineteen of Season 34 and we have now had a total of twenty-four winners this season as we had two players to share the £6 cash prize money this weekend. Our winner who won on a score of 11 goals and they are PETER PORTER and SCOTT THOMSON (1).
Peter is one of our very long serving player of Golden Goals where he started playing in the competition way back in the 1989/90 Season. He then finished in 40th place out of 44 on a total of 182 goals. Last season Peter finished in 39th place on 260 goals. The last time that Peter finished in the winning frame was back in our 2009/10 Season in 11th place on 296 goals.
This season Peter has not had a single blank weekend score sheet and this week is his personal best score from his teams. The highest that he has been is 28th place in week thirteen.
Scott has won with his first combination and also with his personal best weekend score too. Scott started in the 2006/07 Season where he finished in the winning frame in 17th place on 261 goals. Last season his second combi finished in 61st place on 251 goals while his first finished in 74th place on 243 goals. This season Scott has picked up just one blank weekend score sheet and 32nd is his best position so far from week five. Our winners combinations are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Over half of you managed to pick up some goals this week with five players picking up the highest score with six goals each. They are  Phil Francksen, Robert Freeman, Darly Nicholls, Geoff Pain and Terry Warwick. All five had a part combination of Brighton and Celtic.
So this week we see a major change for the race for the cash this weekend as DARYL NICHOLLS jumps into the lead moving up from fourth place last week with 64 goals. In joint second place both on 62 goals we have GRANT PHILLIPS up from four and DAVID SMITHERS who was our leader last weekend. In third place we have MANGO down from two with 61 goals while in fourth place we have STEPTOE & SON up from sixth place and CHRIS SETFORD down from three both with a total of 59 goals. In fifth place back in is DANIEL GOODSON with 58 goals while PETER GASPARELLI and TONY GUY (2) both move down from five to sixth place with 57 goals.
The good news this weekend is that we now have a total of twenty-nine players that are now over the 50 goals mark. 

WEEKEND RESULTS
We once again had a crazy weekend for goals this weekend. The average score for the third weekend running stayed at 5 goals. We had four of our teams with no game over the weekend and another twelve teams that failed to score any goals.
The highest score that we had over the weekend came from two of our teams PETERBOROUGH and STENHOUSEMUIR with five goals each.
Peterborough from the English League One took their goals tally to 41 as they beat Chesterfield 5-2 at home. The result took them up to sixth place in the league. Stenhousemuir from the Scottish League One won their third league game of the season by beating  Airdrie 5-0 away. With their biggest win of the season, Stenhousemuir have taken their goals total to 28 but remain rock bottom in that league. 

PREMIERSHIP
CHELSEA are still on top of the premiership this weekend as they win just 1-0 at home against West Brom. Chelsea are on a total of 41 goals and they are still three points clear of  ARSENAL who won 3-1 at home to STOKE. Arsenal are now on a total of 42 while Stoke picked up their 22nd goal of the season. LIVERPOOL are still in third place after they drew 2-2 at home to WEST HAM. Liverpool are on a total of 49 goals while West Ham are now on 21. MANCHESTER CITY lost their third league game of the season to last season’s champions LEICESTER CITY.  Leicester won 4-2 at home to Manchester City and with their highest result of the season, Leicester are now on a total of 23 goals while Man City are now on 34 goals. TOTTENHAM have remained in fifth place once again this weekend after they lost 1-0 away to MANCHESTER UNITED. As Tottenham picked up their second blank of the season, United hit goal number 28 and are three points behind them in sixth place. It’s 25 goals for BOURNEMOUTH as they lost 3-2 away to Burnley while EVERTON lost 3-2 away to Watford and that now gives them a total of 23 goals. SOUTHAMPTON picked up their 19th goal of the season as they win 1-0 at home to Middlesbrough. 

CHAMPIONSHIP
We have four of the top six here this weekend with NEWCASTLE remaining on top and a point clear as they win 4-0 at home to Birmingham. Newcastle are now on a total of 52 goals. Brighton are back down to second place with DERBY in fifth place after they won 3-0 at home to Nottingham Forest. That now takes Derby’s goals tally to 22. After their defeat on Friday night, Leeds United have dropped down to sixth place. ASTON VILLA picked up goal number 23 as they win 1-0 at home to Wigan. NORWICH lost 2-1 away to Barnsley to pick up their 45th goal of the season. BRENTFORD are on 26 goals. CARDIFF drew their game 1-1 away to Ipswich and that takes their goal tally up to 19. PRESTON are on 33 goals as they win 3-2 at home to Blackburn. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY lost 2-1 away to Reading but that was their 24th goal of the season. QUEENS PARK RANGERS picked up their sixth blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 away to Rotherham. Rangers have now netted just one goal in their last three games. WOLVES drew 4-4 at home to Fulham to take their goals tally to 29 with their biggest result of the season. 

LEAGUE ONE
We have four of the top six teams here with SCUNTHORPE on top as they lost 3-2 away to Rochdale. Scunthorpe are now on a total of 47 goals and they have scored in all of their last eight games. SHEFFIELD UNITED are in second place as they win 4-0 at home to Swindon. United are now on a total of 47 goals. BRADFORD are in fourth place after they drew  0-0 at home to CHARLTON. Both Bradford  and Charlton picked up their seventh blank of the season and both have now failed to score in their last two games. Peterborough are in sixth place with SOUTHEND not that far behind as they win 3-1 at home to Coventry. That takes their goals tally to 30. BRISTOL ROVERS are on 42 as they won 4-2 at home to Bury. WALSALL lost 2-1 away to Fleetwood and that gives them a total of 24 goals while MILLWALL picked up their fourth blank of the season after they lost 1-0 at home to Shrewsbury. It’s 34 goals for MK DONS as they win 1-0 at home to AFC Wimbledon. OLDHAM picked up more goals at the weekend as they drew 1-1 away to Oxford. Oldham are now on 18 goals. PORT VALE lost 3-2 at home to Northampton and that puts them on a total of 32 goals.

LEAGUE TWO
We have four of the top seven in this league with PLYMOUTH going back on top after they won 2-0 at home to DONCASTER who have now dropped down to third place. Plymouth are now on 33 goals while Doncaster after a goal run of  twenty-one games picked up their very first blank of the season. PORTSMOUTH are now in fourth place as they win 1-0 away to Grimsby. Portsmouth are on 36 goals and they have scored in all of their last thirteen games. In fifth place is LUTON but they drew 1-1 at home against Carlisle. Luton picked up goal number 41. LEYTON ORIENT beat ACCRINGTON STANLEY 1-0 at home and they are on 24 goals as Accrington picked up their eighth blank of the season and now just four goals in their last six games. COLCHESTER picked up their seventh blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to Mansfield. YEOVIL lost 1-0 at home to Barnet and that was their seventh blank of the season. 

SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Scottish Premiership Celtic remained top after their win on Friday night with RANGERS still in second place as they won 2-0 at home to Hearts. Rangers areon a total of 43 goals. ABERDEEN are now in third place after they drew 0-0 at home against St JOHNSTONE. That was Aberdeen’s sixth blank while Johnstone picked up their fourth. KILMARNOCK picked up their eighth blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to Motherwell.  
In the Lower leagues FALKIRK won 2-1 away to Morton and that now gives them a total of 28 goals while top of the table HIBERNIAN won 2-0 at home to Dumbarton. Hibs are now on a total of 29 goals. PETERHEAD drew 1-1 at home to Alloa to pick up goal number 28.

Our Best team on form is still CELTIC after they have scored in all of their eighteen League and Cup games played and netting a total of 54 goals which now gives them an average score of three goals per game.

Our worst teams is  OLDHAM  this weekend as they have picked up a total of thirteenth blank score sheets out of twenty-four games played.

Our highest goal scorers in our 34th Season are  LUTON after they won 6-2 at home to non-league Solihull Moors in the FA CUP 2nd Round in week eighteen. LIVERPOOL winning 6-1 at home against Watford in the league in week fourteen and SHEFFIELD UNITED winning 6-0 at home to LEYTON ORIENT in the 1st Round of the FA Cup also in week fourteen. BOURNEMOUTH  after their 6-1 home win against Hull in the league in week eleven.  CELTIC with their 6-1 home League win against Kilmarnock from week eight. NEWCASTLE winning 6-0 away to Q. P. R in the league in week seven and 6-1 away to Preston in the EFL League Cup 4th Round in week thirteen.  NORWICH by winning 6-1 at home to Coventry in the EFL League Cup 2nd Round in week four.  

DANIEL GOODSON is now in his sixth weekend at the top and now seven weeks over the season. His combination picked him up ten goals over the week with four coming from midweek from Celtic and at the weekend a total of six goals from from Liverpool two and Newcastle four Celtic had no game over the weekend. Dan has been caught up by June Tighe as she moves back  into second place after picking up a total of 12 goals for the week. Dan is just two goals clear of  June. Her teams are once again Celtic, Newcastle and Sheffield United.

At the other end at 136 we still have SANDRA NICHOLLS as her combination picked her up a total of seven goals over the weekend. Sandra is now in her eighth weekend at the bottom over the season and now five weekends in a row. Sandra’s teams are Everton, Leicester City and Manchester United and she has caught up with 135 and is now three goals behind.
