Our first Poll on out blog will be closing soon. We have had just 9 votes in which one is from me. Still here is how it looks.
With 66% of the votes goes to Scottish Rangers and we can see why when they are already on a total of 76 goals. In second place with just 11% is Celtic who have scored a total of 59 goals and they are our fourth best team in Golden Goals. In third place is Portsmouth again with 11% of the votes. They are our 7th best team with 52 goals. While other also has 11% vote.

But this is how it looks for the first team to score 100 goals this Season our 33rd.
As we have said Rangers are first with 76 goals followed by Peterborough on 62. Manchester City comes third with 60 while Celtic are fourth with 59 goals and they are playing tonight. Joint fifth is Everton and Hearts both on 53 followed by Portsmouth on 52 and Hull on 51.

WEEKEND RESULTS
We had a great start to the New Year from our Golden Goals teams although the average score fell down one from five of last weekend to 4 goals this weekend. The reason is simple and that is that we had eight of our teams that had no game over the weekend, with another twelve teams that failed to score.
The highest score that we had this weekend came from the English League One where CHESTERFIELD picked up their highest score of the season by winning 7-1 at home to Shrewsbury. Now Chesterfield have not be doing well here as they have only scored two goals in their last eight games. The seven goals takes them up to a total of 39 goals and they have just one vote this season.

FA CUP 3rd Round
We had a total of 32 of our Golden Goals teams in action in this round and out of them 13 have made it through to the next round of the cup. We have another seven teams in replays which do not include the EXETER and LIVERPOOL replay. So that leaves 12 of our teams that have been kicked out of the cup.
There was no big results or shock wins from any of our teams. But we did have a couple of premiership teams that picked up the highest score with three goals.
They are ARSENAL who won 3-1 at home against Sunderland to give Arsenal a total of 39 goals. MANCHESTER CITY won 3-0 away to NORWICH. City are on 56 goals while Norwich picked up their 6th blank of the season. So that’s two of our teams through and now, here are the rest.
EVERTON are through as they win 2-0 at home to Redbridge and are now our sixth team to net 50 goals. DERBY are on 40 goals as they win 2-1 away to Hartlepool. HULL beat BRIGHTON 1-0 at home to pick up their 43rd goal while Brighton have now failed to score in their last five games and now eight over the season. LEEDS are through after they beat Rotherham 2-0 at home. Leeds are now on 29 goals. MANCHESTER UNITED could only beat SHEFFIELD UNITED 1-0 at home to get goal number 28 while Sheffield picked up their 5th blank of the season. BURNLEY join the pack as they win 2-1 away to MIDDLESBROUGH. Burnley are on 36 goals while Brough are on 45. NOTTINGHAM FOREST picked up their 29th goal as they beat QPR 1-0 at home. Rangers picked up their 9th blank of the season.

WATFORD knocked out NEWCASTLE with a 1-0 home win to give them a total of 26 while Newcastle picked up their fourth blank score sheet in a row to take their total to twelve without a goal. WEST HAM beat WOLVES 1-0 at home to give them their 32nd goal and Wolves their 8th blank score sheet. CHELSEA beat SCUNTHORPE 2-0 at home to take their goals tally to 33 while Scunthorpe picked up their 9th blank score sheet.

In replays we have BOLTON who nearly went out to non-league team Eastleigh but managed to draw 1-1 with just three minutes to go of the game. That was Bolton's 20th goal of the season. IPSWICH drew 2-2 at home to POTSMOUTH to give them 42 goals and Portsmouth 52. MK DONS drew 2-2 away to Northampton and that gave them a total of 27 goals. BRISTOL CITY are on 25 goals after a two game dry spell as they drew 2-2 away to West Brom.
