More EFL League Cup Fourth Round Games

We had another  five of our Golden Goals teams in cup action last night and three of them have made it through to the next round. No big results here last night but most did pick up some more goals for us.
In the local Manchester derby, MANCHESTER UNITED beat MANCHESTER CITY 1-0 at home which was a big shock to me as United have failed to score in their last two games. United take their goals total  to 17 goals while City picked up their second blank of the season and now only two goals in their last four games.
SOUTHAMPTON are through with their 14th goal of the season as they won 1-0 at home against Sunderland. Another shock of the night was that WEST HAM beat London rivals CHELSEA 2-1 at home.  West ham are now on 13 goals while Chelsea take their goals tally to 27.

We also had some more of our Scottish teams in action in the Premiership and they all scored some goals. CELTIC picked up the highest score of the night as they beat Ross County 4-0 away. That takes Celtics goals total to 38. RANGERS drew 1-1 at home to St JOHNSTONE after going a goal down. Rangers are now on 32 goals while St Johnstone hit goal number 28. KILMARNOCK are now on 17 goals as they win 2-0 at home to Hearts.

ARSENAL won 2-0 at home to Reading which now gives them a total of 25 goals and a place in the next round. LIVERPOOL are on 30 goals as they beat TOTTENHAM 2-1 at home. Tottenham hit goal number 19.

We had one result from the Scottish Premiership where ABERDEEN failed to catch up on Celtics lead as they lost 1-0 away to Hamilton. That was Aberdeen’s third blank of the season.

A Blank Night For The English Prem

In the English Premiership last night LIVERPOOL drew 0-0 at home to MANCHESTER UNITED which has disappointed most of us here at Golden Goals.
Both teams had done well up to this point as Liverpool picked up their second blank score sheet with a total of 26 goals while United after a goal run of eight games, they have picked up their very first blank of the season and have a total of 16 goals.
This time last season, Liverpool was on a total of just 9 goals and three blank score sheets. United had a total of 18 goals and two blank score sheets.
