In Week Nineteen of the competition and we had our fourth Rollover
worth £12 and we had three players that had to share the cash. All of our
winners pick up their first win of the season which now takes our winners total
to 28. Our winners won on a score of 10 goals each. They are STEPTOE & SON (Jamie Marson),
PETER WELLARD
and our 2015/16 Champion RICHARD WILLIAMS.
Jamie has been with Golden Goals for fifteen
Seasons and he started with us in our 21st Season (2003/04) where he
finished in 77th place out of 90 on a total of 235 goals. In that
season he had two weekend wins winning over £4 in cash. Last season Jamie
finished in 45th place on 300 goals. Back to this season, and we can
see Jamie at his highest position of the season so far. He has picked up three
blank score sheets to date and his best team is Manchester City.
Peter started with us back in the 2004/05
Season where he finished in 57th place out of 105 with 261 goals and
two weekend wins. Peter was with us for ten seasons before he left us. So the
good news is that he is back and he is also at his highest so far. He has also
picked up three blank score sheets and his best team is Celtic.
Richard has also been with us for a total of
fifteen seasons starting from 1992/93 to 2002/03 and then he came back to us in
the 2015/16 Season where he became Champion. In that season he finished on a
total of 298 goals and won £100 in cash. Last season he finished in 103rd place on 260
goals. This season he has been as high as 35 in week three. This is his biggest score of the season and he
has also had three blank score sheets. Richards best team is Celtic. Our

RESULTS
We only had five
of our teams in midweek action and we had just one team that failed to pick up
any goals. In the English Championship
WOLVES beat BIRMINGHAM 1-0 away in which Birmingham picked up their eleventh
blank of the season while SHEFFIELD
UNITED lost 2-1 at home to Bristol City and they have taken their goal
tally to 38.
In the Scottish Premiership, ABERDEEN won 1-0 away to Dundee.
Aberdeen are now on a total of 26 goals. In League Two PETERHEAD won 1-0 away to Stirling. Peterhead have taken their
goals tally to 48 and they have now scored in all of their last eight games.

RESULTS
This weekend the
average score fell back down from eight goals last weekend to 4 this weekend. It
has been a very funny weekend for our teams where teams that should of won, did
not. This weekend we had six teams without
a game and another fifteen teams that failed to score any goals.
The highest score that
we had over the weekend came from the English
Premiership where TOTTENHAM picked up their highest score of the season by beating Stoke
5-1 at home. Tottenham are now on a total of 31 goals.
Tottenham are one of
our original teams from Season One as they became our tenth most voted team
that season where they finished on a score of 71 goals. This is Tottenhams 34th
Season with Golden Goals and their highest end of season goals total of 109
goals came in the 1986/87 and 2016/17 Seasons. Their lowest score was in
1987/88 with 47 goals. Over the years they have now netted a total of 2459 which
gives them an average score of 72 goals per season. They have twenty-two votes
this season.
PREMIERSHIP
We Still have the top six teams here with MANCHESTER CITY
still top as they beat their local rivals MANCHESTER UNITED 2-1
away. City have taken their goals tally to 50 while United are now eleven
points behind in second place with a total of 42 goals. In third place is still
CHELSEA after they lost 1-0 away to WEST HAM. Chelsea have now
had three blank score sheets while West Ham take their goals total to 22. In
fourth place we still have LIVERPOOL who drew 1-1 at home to rivals EVERTON.
Liverpool are now on 34 goals while Everton are on 24. ARSENAL are in
fifth place again as they drew 1-1 away to Southampton. Arsenal picked up goal
number 33 and they have now scored in all of their last thirteen games. Tottenham
remain in sixth place after their win. CRYSTAL PALACE are picking up
the points but remain bottom as they drew 2-2 at home to BOURNEMOUTH to
take their goals tally to 14 after a two game dry spell. Bournemouth are now on
21 goals. LEICESTER CITY won 3-2 away to NEWCASTLE to give them a
total of 32 goals to Newcastle’s 18. WEST BROM picked up their seventh blank
score sheet and now two in a row as they lost 1-0 away to Swansea.
CHAMPIONSHIP
We still have the top two teams here with WOLVES still
on top after they drew 0-0 at home to SUNDERLAND. As Wolves picked up
their fourth blank score sheet, Sunderland have now had six. Cardiff have
remained in second place even though they had no game over the weekend. ASTON
VILLA are in fifth place still as they drew 0-0 at home to Millwall. Villa
picked up their seventh blank score sheet. Sheffield United are down to sixth
place this weekend. BURTON ALBION
lost 2-1 at home to Preston but picked up goal number 19 after a two game dry
spell for goals. FULHAM are on 29 goals as they win 1-0 at home to BIRMINGHAM.
Birmingham picked up their twelfth blank of the season and now just two goals in
their last nine games. HULL won 3-2 at home to BRENTFORD and they
are now on 37 goals while Brentford are on 41. MIDDLESBROIUGH won 2-0 at home to IPSWICH and
they are now on 33 goals while Ipswich picked up their fifth blank score sheet.
NORWICH won 3-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday and they are now on 32
goals. BIOLTON are on 26 goals as they lost 3-2 away to Nottingham Forest.
It’s 45 for LEEDS as they win 3-1 away to QUEENS PARK RANGERS who
take their goals tally to 25.
LEAGUE ONE
WIGAN are still top here as they win 2-0
at home to FLEETWOOD. Wigan are now on a total of 44 goals while
Fleetwood picked up their fifth blank of the season. BLACKBURN have
moved up to third place as they win 3-2 away to PETERBOROUGH. Blackburn
are now on 46 goals while Borough are on 41. BRADFORD are in fourth place
as they win 4-2 at home to Rochdale and have taken their goals total to 40.
Behind them are SCUNTHORPE who lost 1-0 away to Walsall to pick up their
second consecutive blank score sheets and now nine over the season. CHARLTON
are in sixth place but lost 1-0 at home to PORTSMOUTH to get their fifth
blank of the season while Portsmouth picked up goal number 27. SOUTHEND lost
3-0 away to Bristol Rovers to pick up their eighth blank score sheet. MK
DONS are on 33 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to Shrewsbury. DONCASTER
lost 1-0 away to Oxford and they have now had a total of twelve blank score
sheets. PLYMOUTH won 2-1 at home to Gillingham to take their goals tally
to 19.
LEAGUE TWO
LUTON are top here as they drew 1-1 at
home to Notts County. Luton are now on 55 goals. EXETER are in fourth
place as they lost 3-1 away to COLCHESTER. Exeter are now on a
total of 36 while Colchester are now on 30 goals. LINCOLN CITY
are in sixth place after they won 2-0 away to Yeovil. Lincoln are on 27 goals. COVENTRY
picked up their ninth blank of the season as they lost 2-0 away to Morecombe. MANSFIELD
lost 2-0 away to Crawley and that is their fifth blank of the season. FOREST
GREEN have now had eight blank score sheets as they went down 1-0 away to
Grimsby. It’s 25 for PORT VALE as they win 2-0 at home to Cambridge.
SCOTTISH RESULTS
In the Scottish Premiership, CELTIC
drew 2-2 away to Hibernian after going two goals up. But Celtic have
extended their run of goals to twenty games with a total of 53 goals. RANGERS
are in second place and now five points behind their rivals Celtic after
they win 2-1 at home to Ross County after going a goal down in the first half.
In League One RAITH drew
2-2 away to Airdrie which took their
goals tally up to 41 goals. In League Two
ELGIN CITY drew 1-1 at home to Edinburgh City and they are now on 34
goals while STENHOUSEMUIR lost
3-1 at home to Anna and they are now on 27 goals.

The only
team with a 100% goal scoring run is CELTIC who have now scored in all of
their twenty League/Cup games played with a total of 53 goals. That still gives
them an average score of 2.6 goals per game.
BIRMINGHAM and DONCASTER have both picked up the most
number of blank score sheets with a total of twelve each.
Our highest
goal scoring team in our 35th Season is PETERHEAD from the Scottish League
Two. They picked up our
highest score in week eleven as they won 9-0 at home to non-league team
Colville Park in the WILLIAM HILL CUP
Second Round.
Our 2013/14 Champion PAUL DAVEY could be looking at his
second title as he is now celebrating his fourth weekend at number one as his combination picked him up a
total of just 5 goals all coming from the weekend. Paul has Celtic, Luton and Manchester
City. He is still seven goals clear of Chris
Boom in second place.
At the other end at number 149 we still
have COLIN PINDER who is now spending
his sixth consecutive weekend there and now eight over the Season. Colin picked
up five goals from his combination all coming from the weekend once again. His teams
are Colchester, Crystal Palace and Southend.
