In the quarter-finals of the Carabao
Cup we have seven of the eight teams fighting for a place in the
semi-finals.
Four of them have now played
in that round with ARSENAL beating
London rivals WEST HAM 1-0 at home.
Arsenal are now on a total of 35 goals while West Ham picked up their eighth
blank of the season. MANCHESTER CITY
are also through but had a very hard game against LEICESTER CITY away, as they drew 1-1 after full time and even
after extra time, the two teams could not be split. In the penalty shoot-out Manchester
City win 4-3. The single goals give Manchester City a total of 59 and Leicester
City 37 goals.
We also had a couple of
league games from the Scottish
Championship FALKIRK who have
not played a game for nearly three weeks, drew 0-0 away to Livingstone to pick
up their seventh blank of the season and have now failed to score in their last
three games. In League Two STENHOUSEMUIR
drew 1-1 away to Cowdenbeath to take their goals tally to 30.
