As you know Golden
Goals was going to keeping an eye on Celtic this season to see if they
can beat last season’s record run of playing a total of 47 league/cup games without
getting any blank score sheets and scoring a grand total of 134 goals. That
record was to score in all of their league games and their two domestic cup
competitions. Well the dream of doing the same this season has come to an end with
Hearts beating them 4-0 at home in a league game.
In week twenty and at this
stage last season Celtic had played a total of twenty league/cup games and
netted a total of 57 goals. This Season in the same week, Celtic have played twenty-one
games and have scored a total of 56 goals. So although they have played one
game more than at this stage last season, they are now one goal behind. Celtic had played a total of 68 league/cup
games without a blank score sheet and a total of 190 goals.
