It’s Week Forty of Season 34 and we had some
of our teams that have already finished playing their games for this season.
Although
we have finished giving away the £6 Weekend Prize Money we had a very good
weekend for goals. But you must fill sorry for SIMON DICKINSON this weekend as he picked up a total of 15 goals
from his combination and had equaled this season top score. Simon received his
goals from Celtic 4, Manchester City 5 and Portsmouth 6.
100
MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
We still have
twenty-nine players that have now scored 100 or more midweek goals and we hope
that we can get a few more there by the end of the season.
DARYL NICHOLLS is still leading on a total of 128 goals this week. In second
place on 122 goals is still LUCIFER
the Cat or John Wood. In third place
is GRANT PHILLIPS with 115 goals and
in fourth place we have STEVEN CADWELL and
CHRIS SETFORD both now on 112 goals.
I think that we can now say that our highest midweek score set by Paul Davey in
our 2013/14 Season with a total of 132 goals will stay with us for another
season.
WEEKEND
RESULTS
Although we
did not have all of our teams in action over the weekend, the average score for the weekend moved up

to score any goals.

Our Best Three Teams Are
CELTIC (122)
SHEFFIELD UNITED (101) NEWCASTLE (100) Total of 323 goals
Our Worst Three Teams Are
OLDHAM (37)
KILMARNOCK (37) STOKE (44) Total of 118 goals
Our Best
team on form is still CELTIC after they have scored in all of their forty-three
League and Cup games played and netting a total of 122 goals which still gives
them an average score of two goals per game.
OLDHAM have picked up the most number of blank score sheets this
season with a total of twenty-six out of their fifty league and cup games
played.
Our highest
goal scorers in our 34th Season are
HIBERNIAN after they won 8-1
away to non-league team Bonnyrigg Ross in the Fourth Round of the Scottish WILLIAM HILL CUP in Week Twenty-Five.
JUNE TIGHE is in her tenth weekend at the top as she picks up a total of
seven goals all from the weekend. June
only had two of her teams left and they were Celtic and Newcastle. Her third
team was Sheffield United. June’s lead has now been cut to four goals clear of Grant Phillips who has moved back in to
second place this weekend. June has also moved up to 7th place in
our Champions League as she has now beaten our 2000/01 Champion Janice Conway
who finished on a total of 318 goals and Alice Stubbs from the 2012/13 Season also
on 318 goals. With 322 goals and now with our eighth best score is Tony Patman
from the 1999/00 Season.
At the other end at number 136 we still have
KATHY SOMERVILLE after her
combination failed to pick her up any goals for
the week. Tottenham failed to score in midweek against West Ham and Yeovil failed
to score at the weekend. Her third team was Oldham. Kathy has now been at
number 136 for a total of twenty weeks over the season. She is now four goals behind
Jason Cooper who picked up just one goal over the weekend. So with no
goals this week Kathy has remained in 10th place in our
Loser’s League this weekend.
