In Week Twelve of the competition, we had yet another £12 Rollover
this season and we had a total of three players that shared the cash giving
them a total of £4 in winnings each. Two are first time winners this season
which brings our winners total up to ten and the other one is our first player
to win twice this season. On a score of
12 goals and with their personal best for this season the winners are CHRIS BOOM, JAMES HUNTER
and TIM WOOD.
Chris is in his eleventh season with Golden Goals and he first appeared
here is our 2008/09 Season on where he finished in 31st place on a
total of 262 goals. Last season he finished in the winning frame in second
place with a total of 333 goals just one
goal behind our Champion Chris Bolbery. He also picked up two weekend wins
winning a total of £84 in cash. This season he has picked up two blank score sheets
at the weekends and 30th is his highest position to date. His best
team is Manchester City.
Although James
started with the competition in the 1996/97 Season he was with us for a
straight eleven seasons until the 2006/07 Season, where he had a break, but he
came back again in the 2013/14 Season. James finished in 47th place
on a total of 283 goals last season and in the previous season, our 33rd,
James finished in the winning frame in 29th place on a total of 267
goals winning just £4 in cash. This season he has picked up just one blank
score sheet at the weekend and this weekend we see James at his highest. His
best team is also Manchester City.
Tim has won for the second time and he first won some cash from a double rollover
in Week Seven and picked up all the full amount of cash of £18. Since his big
win, Tim has remained in the winning frame and this is his best to date. Like
the other two Manchester City is his best team. He has now had two blank score

There were
no midweek games once again this week so no goals for any of us this week and
the race for the cash has remained the same as last week. GRAHAM HARRIS is out
in front with a total of 33 goals. He has Hearts, Tottenham and West Brom. In
second place and ten goals behind Graham we have TERRY WARWICK with 23 goals. In joint
third place we have JOHN DAVIES, RYAN WILLIAMS with 22 goals each. In joint
fourth place all on 21 goals we have JAMES BLYTH, GARY BROWN and JUNE TIGHE. In joint fifth place all
on 20 goals we have CLIFF BAMBRIDGE, MARTIN
CORBETT and MANDY WRIGHT.
WEEKEND
RESULTS
What a
fantastic weekend we had for goals this weekend with most of our teams back in
action. The weekends average score has
restarted back at 7 goals. We had just two of our teams without a game over
the weekend and another eighteen teams that failed to score any goals.
The highest
score that we had was five goals and they came from the English Premiership, MANCHESTER CITY in their 5-0 home win against Burnley. City are now on a
total of 29 goals.
PREMIERSHIP
Manchester
City have remained top on
goal difference with LIVERPOOL who won 1-0 away to Huddersfield to pick
up goal number 17. CHELSEA are in third place after they drew 2-2 at
home to MANCHESTER UNITED. Chelsea are just two points behind City and
Liverpool and the goals now take their goals tally up to 22. United are now on
17 goals and they have scored in all of their last seven games. TOTTENHAM are
in fourth place after they beat London rivals WEST HAM 1-0 away.
Tottenham are now on 18 goals while West Ham picked up their fifth blank and now
two in a row. BOURNEMOUTH picked up their third blank score sheet after
they drew 0-0 at home to Southampton. FULHAM are on 16 goals as they
lost 4-2 away to Cardiff. WOLVES lost 2-0 at home to Watford and that is
their third blank of the season. EVERTON won 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace
and are now on 19 goals.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Well it’s all change here as Middlesbrough go top. WEST
BROM are now down to third place behind Sheffield United after they lost
1-0 at home to Wigan. That is their third blank of the season. LEEDS UNITED
are down to fourth place after they lost 2-1 away to BLACKBURN. Leeds
are now on 25 goals with five goals in five games while Blackburn take their
goals total up to 27. ASTON VILLA
won 1-0 at home to SWANSEA and they are now on 22 goals and they have
now scored in all of their last eight games. Swansea picked up their eighth
blank score sheet. BRENTFORD after a goal run of nine games, picked up
their second blank of the season after they lost 1-0 at home to Bristol City. DERBY
won 2-1 at home to Sheffield United and they are now on a total of 25 goals. After
a dry spell of two games, HULL are now on 12 goals as they drew 1-1 at
home to Preston. IPSWICH lost 2-0 at home to Queens Park Rangers and
that is their sixth blank score sheet of the season. NOTTINGHAM FOREST
were a goal up but lost 2-1 at home to Norwich to pick up goal number 25. ROTHERHAM
are now on 14 goals as they drew 1-1 at home to Bolton. BIRMINGHAM won
1-0 away to STOKE and that is goal number 14 for them while Stoke after
a goal run of ten games, picked up blank number two.
LEAGUE ONE
PORTSMOUTH are still on top this weekend and
six points clear after they won 1-0 at home against Fleetwood. Portsmouth are
now on a total of 25 goals. Behind them is PETERBOROUGH in second place as
they lost 1-0 at home to ACCRINGTON STANLEY. Borough have now had a
total of three blank score sheets and now just three goals in their last three
games. Accrington are now on 19 goals and in fourth place. SUNDERLAND
are now in third place after they won 2-0 away to SHREWSBURY. Sunderland
are now on 26 goals and have now scored in all of their last eleven games.
Shrewsbury picked up their sixth blank of the season. ROCHDALE are now
on 24 goals as they win 2-0 away to Bradford. BRISTOL ROVERS are in
trouble this weekend as they drew 0-0 at home to Oxford Utd to pick up their
eighth blank score sheet and now five games with out a goal. CHARLTON
won 2-0 at home to BARNSLEY and they are now on 21 goals while Barnsley
picked up their third blank of the season. LUTON are now on a total of
21 goals after they won 2-0 at home to Walsall. COVENTRY won 2-1 away to
SOUTHEND to take their goals tally to 13 goals while Southend are on 20.
WYCOMBE are on 23 goals as they win 3-2 at home to SCUNTHORPE. Scunthorpe
are also on 23 goals. PLYMOUTH are still at the bottom of the league
after they lost their ninth league game, 3-2 at home to BURTON ALBION. Plymouth
are now on a total of 14 goals while Burton are on 21.
LEAGUE TWO
LINCOLN
CITY are still top here this
weekend and still four points clear after they drew 1-1 at home to Cambridge
Utd. Lincoln are now on a total of 33 goals. EXETER are still in second
place after they drew 0-0 away to Grimsby. That is Exeters fourth blank of the
season. MK DONS are now in third place after they won 1-0 at home to
Northampton and that is their 20th goal of the season. NOTTS
COUNTY lost 4-0 away to Bury and that is their fourth blank score sheet. OLDHAM picked up their sixth blank
score sheet and now just one goal in their last four games as they lost 1-0 at
home to Port Vale. SWINDON drew 0-0 at home to MANSFIELD and that
is their fifth blank of the season and just one goal in their last five games,
while Mansfield picked up blank number three.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
It’s been a
good weekend for our Scottish teams this weekend. In the WILLIAMS HILL CUP second round, PETERHEAD are through to the next round after they won 3-2 at home
to non-league Kelty Hearts. Peterhead are now on a total of 22 goals with nine
goals in their last three games.
In the Premiership, HEARTS won 2-1 at home to ABERDEEN.
Hearts are now on 34 goals while Aberdeen picked up goal number 14. CELTIC are now in second place and
three points behind Hearts as they win 4-2 at home to HIBERNIAN. Celtic are now on a total of 21 goals to Hibs 24. RANGERS
have moved up to fifth place after they won 4-1 away to HAMILTON. Rangers are on 29 goals while
Hamilton picked up goal number 12.
In the Championship, ROSS COUNTY are top as they won 2-1 at home to AYR UNITED. County are now on 24 goals while Ayr are on 34 and in
second place. ALLOA are on 15 goals
as they win 1-0 at home to Partick while FALKIRK
still bottom of the league, lost 1-0 away to Morton to pick up their eighth
blank of the season.
In League One, RAITH won 2-1 at home to Stranraer and they are now on a total of
25 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. STENHOUSEMUIR are on 13 goals as they
lost 2-1 at home to Forfar. DUMBARTON
lost 3-1 away to Arbroath to take their goals total up to 16.

ROVERS this weekend as they have picked up a total of eight
blank score sheets out of sixteen league and cup games played this season. They
have scored just three goals in their last eight games and they have failed to
score in their last five games.
Our biggest
result in our 36th Season are now WEST HAM UNITED who
won 8-0 at home against Macclesfield in the Carabao/League Cup Third Round in
Week Nine. West Brom has the second highest score with a 7-1 home win against
Queens Park Rangers in their fourth league game of the season in Week Three.
GARY BROWN has moved back to the top this weekend, as he picks up a total of eight
goals at the weekend. This is now his fourth weekend at the top this
season. His teams are once again Ayr United, Manchester City and Sunderland. Graham Harris is back down to second place
as he only picked up a total of three goals at the weekend. His teams are Hearts,
Tottenham and West Brom. There is now a three goals gap between them.
At the other end at 133 we have John Filtness at the bottom for his third
consecutive weekend as he picks up just three goals from his combination. He
had now had six weeks at the bottom and now six goals adrift. His teams
are Birmingham, Hamilton and Liverpool.
