In the English Championship Play-Off Semi-Final 2nd
leg, ASTON VILLA won the first
leg 2-1 against WEST BROM but lost
the second leg 1-0 to go 2-2 on aggregate, after the full 90 minutes of play.
Even after extra time and a player short for West Brom, the score remained the
same. In the penalty shoot-out, Aston Villa came out on top by winning 4-3.
They are now in the finals. As Villa’s goal run of fourteen games comes to the
end, they have now had a total of eight blank score sheets. West Brom finished their
season on a total of 94 goals.
