In Week Thirty-Two of the competition and we had just one player to
pick up the Cash Prize Money of £6. They become our thirty-fifth winner of the
season with a score of 11 goals. Our winner was DOUG MORBEY.
Doug has been with the competition
for a total of thirty years and I would like to thank him for his support over the
seasons. Doug’s very first season was back
in the 1990/91 where he finished in 33rd place out of 52, on a total
of 231 goals. Last season he finished in 96th place with a total of 267 goals but he did pick up one weekend win. This
season Doug has been as high as 14th place in Week Nineteen. He has
had a total of three blank score sheets and this is his personal highest score
of the season. His best team is Celtic. Here are our winners combination

MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Most of us managed
to pick up some more goals this week and we had four players that picked up the
most amount of goals with six each. There are now just seven players to reach
the half way mark of 50 or more midweek goals this week.
This week we still have
ANDY EYLES leading with a new total
of 92 goals and now needs just eight goals for the cash. Andy has Celtic,
Fulham and Liverpool. In second place with 91 goals we still have TOBY BICKNELL. In third place is still MATT DORAN with a total of 88 goals. In
fourth place we still have PATRICK
O’DONAGHUE but he is now with A&A.
CLARK who has moved up from fifth place. They both have a total of 86
goals. In fifth place all coming back in the race, we have BARBARA BARNES (1) IAN SMITH and DAVE WOOD all with a total of 85 goals.
WEEKEND
RESULTS
We had just
three of our teams without a game and another eighteen that failed to score any
goals. It’ not good news once again this weekend as the average score has only moved
back up from three from last weekend, back to 4 goals this weekend. We had just
two players that failed to pick up any goals this weekend.
The highest
score that we had this weekend was five goals and we had three of our teams
that picked them up. They are BRENTFORD, CELTIC and STOKE CITY.
PREMIER LEAGUE
The Champions LIVERPOOL after two games without a
goal, won 2-1 at home to Bournemouth after going a goal down in the first half.
Liverpool are now on a total of 77 goals. They are still top and are now
twenty-five points in front of MANCHESTER CITY in second place, who lost
1-0 away to rivals MANCHESTER UNITED. That is City’s fourth blank of the
season. United are now on 62 goals and are now in fifth place. In third place
we still have Leicester City who had no game once again. CHELSEA
are still in fourth place they won 4-0 at home to EVERTON. Chelsea have taken
their total up to 65 goals while Everton picked up their eight blank score
sheet after a goal run of seven games. ARSENAL won 1-0 at home to London
rivals WEST HAM and that is their 55th goal of the season
while West Ham picked up their eleventh blank of the season. TOTTENHAM
drew 1-1 away to Burnley after going a goal down and that is their 55th
goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. SHEFFIELD
UNITED won 1-0 at home to bottom of the table Norwich and they are now on a
total of 38 goals. NEWCASTLE won 1-0 away to Southampton and they are
now on 37 goals.
WOLVES picked up their seventh blank score
sheet of the season as they drew 0-0 at home to Brighton.
CHAMPIONSHIP
LEEDS
UNITED are back at the top
after they won 2-0 at home to HUDDERSFIELD. Leeds are now on a total of
61 goals while Huddersfield picked up their tenth blank score sheet of the
season. One point behind Leeds are WEST BROM who drew 0-0 away to
Swansea. West Brom have now had a total of five blank score sheets.
In the Play-Offs, we
still have all four teams with FULHAM still in third place after they
drew 1-1 away to Bristol City. Fulham are now on a total of 54 goals. BRENTFORD
have moved up to fourth place after they won 5-0 at home against SHEFFIELD
WEDNESDAY. Brentford have taken their goals tally up to 66 goals and they
have now scored in all of their last eight games. Wednesday picked up their
eleventh blank score sheet and now two in a row. Nottingham Forest go
down to fifth place this week with PRESTON still in sixth place, as they
lost 3-1 away to QUEENS PARK RANGERS after going a goal up. Preston
after a two game dry spell for goals are now on 58. Ranger stake their goals
total up to 67.
Meanwhile bottom of the table BARNSLEY
lost 2-0 at home to CARDIFF and picked up their thirteenth blank score
sheet and now two in a row. Cardiff are now on a total of 62 goals. BIRMINGHAM
after going a goal up,lost 3-1 at home to Reading. Birmingham hit goal number
52. MIDDLESBROUGH picked up goal number 41 as they win 1-0 away to
Charlton. STOKE won 5-1 at home to Hull and that has shot their goals
total up to 53. LUTON drew 0-0 away to Wigan and that is their
thirteenth blank of the season. DERBY won 3-0 at home against BLACKBURN
ROVERS. Derby are now on a total of
55 goals while Rovers picked up their seventh blank score sheet.
LEAGUE ONE
ROTHERHAM are still our best team here in
second place after they lost 3-1 away to Rochdale. Rotherham are now on a total
of 74 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seventeen games.
In the Play-Offs,
we now have three of the four teams with PETERBOROUGH in fourth place
after they won 2-0 at home to PORTSMOUTH now in sixth place. Borough are
now on a total of 76 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine
games. Portsmouth picked up their ninth blank score sheet and now two in a row.
SUNDERLAND remain in fifth place after they drew 2-2 at home to
Gillingham. Sunderland are now on a total of 57 goals.
Meanwhile ACCRINGTON STANLEY lost 2-1
at home to Tranmere and that is goal number 42 for them after a two game dry
spell. BLACKPOOL drew 0-0 away to Fleetwood and that is their tenth
blank of the season. IPSWICH picked up their thirteenth blank and now
two in a row after they lost 1-0 away to leaders Coventry. LINCOLN CITY
won 3-2 at home to Burton and they are now on a total of 48 goals. MK DONS
lost 1-0 at home to DONCASTER and that is their fourteenth blank score
sheet after a goal run of seven games. Doncaster picked up goal number 54. SOUTHEND
won 3-1 at home to Bristol Rovers and they are now on a total of 42 goals.
LEAGUE TWO
PLYMOUTH have moved up to third place after
they won 3-0 at home to Macclesfield. Plymouth have taken their goals tally to
67. We do not have any teams in the Play-Offs
this week.
Meanwhile OLDHAM picked up their thirteenth blank of the season as they lost 1-0 away to
Crawley. LEYTON ORIENT are now
on 48 goals as they win 2-1 at home against Cambridge Utd. MANSFIELD won
2-1 away to Northampton and they are now on 51 goals. SALFORD CITY are
now on 51 goals as they win 2-0 at home to BRADFORD. Bradford picked up
their tenth blank score sheet. SCUNTHORPE lost 2-0 at home to Grimsby
and that is their twelfth blank score sheet and now two in a row. FOREST
GREEN won 2-0 away to Swindon and they are now on a total of 49 goals.

RESULTS
In the Premiership, Champions
CELTIC won 5-0 at home to St Mirren and they are now on a total of 108
goals and have now extended their goal run to twenty-seven games. RANGERS
won 1-0 away to Ross County and that is their 77th goal of the
season after failing to score in their last two games. Rangers are now thirteen
points behind their rivals Celtic. HEARTS drew 1-1 at home to
Motherwell. Hearts remain bottom of the league with a total of 48 goals.
In League One, RAITH
ROVERS are still top after they won 2-1 at home against Forfar. Raith are
now on a total of 55 goals. Still just one point behind them is FALKIRK
who also won 3-0 at home to PETERHEAD. Falkirk are now on a total of 66
goals while Peterhead picked up their eleventh blank of the season and now just
one goal in their last four games.
In League Two, COVE
RANGERS are still top here and still ten points clear after they won 3-2 at
home against Brechin. Rangers are now on a total of 75 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR
drew 0-0 at home to Queen’s park and that is now their ninth blank of the
season and now three in a row.

Our on form
team this weekend is once again CELTIC after they have scored
in all of their last twenty-seven games. They have a

team this week are MK DONS. They have picked up a total of fourteen
blank score sheets out of thirty-nine games played. They have a total of 42
goals and two votes.
Our highest
goal scorers in our 37th Season is still LEICESTER
CITY from Week Thirteen after they won 9-0 away to Southampton in
the league.
BRADLEY CLARK has remained at the top
for his second consecutive weekend and now five over the season. Bradley picked up a total of ten goals this week from his
combination of Celtic, Liverpool and
Manchester City.
There is more good news
for Bradley this week as he moves up our Champions league once more. He has now
moved up to 33rd place beating Robert Hough and Geoff Dockerill's
score of 274 goals from the 1990/91 and 1994/95 Seasons. He has also moved
above Mike Harringtons/ David Salmon’s joint score of 276.
Mike Liddle remains in second place after he also picked up ten goals for the week. Mikes
teams are Celtic, Manchester City and Peterborough.
At the other end at 123 The SAINT has remained at the bottom,
as he picks up a total of three goals again
this week. This now means that The Saint has been at the bottom for a total of twenty-five
weeks. His teams are Barnsley, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.
