Here in Week Four of the competition and this weekend we had another winner who won on a score of 11 goals once again. We can now have our third look at who is in the lead for our 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot worth £25 this season. The highest score that we had came from JOHN NICHOLL’s teams with 12 goals which is worthy of a weekend win. At last John has joined in with the midweek race. His teams are Arsenal 6, Aston Villa 6 and Swindon. In the lead after four weeks of football we still have GEOFF CARTHY and RICKY WOOD our 2007/08 Champion both are still on a total of 23 goals. In second place we have PETER PORTER on a total of 22 goals. In third place all with 19 goals we have LUCIFER and BOB SAWYER both down from two with RAYMOND HARROD. In fourth place this week we still have EMMA SAWYER but now we have GUY DOWSETT (2), TOBY BICKNELL and SCOTT THOMSON (1) moving down from three with BOB SOPER. All are on a total of 18 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had another full weekend of fixtures and another good weekend for goals. We had just one of our teams with no game over the weekend with another fifteen of our teams that failed to score any goals. So this weekend the average score went down from seven last weekend to just 4 goals this weekend. So once again if your combination picked up more than that, then you have done very well this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was five goals and they came from MANCHESTER CITY as they win 5-0 at home to ARSENAL. City are now on a total of 10 goals while Arsenal are rock bottom with their third blank score sheet.
Manchester City are one of our original teams from our very first season of 1983/84. They became our then 15th most voted english team and they finished on a total of 73 goals. They have hit 100 or more goals in seven of the 28 seasons that they have appeared in to date. Their highest score is a total of 137 goals which they first scored in the 2013/14 Season and then again in the 2018/19 Season. Last season they finished on a total of 106 goals. They have scored a total of 2333 goals to date and that gives them an average score of 83 goals per season.
PREMIER LEAGUE
It’s all change here after they have all played their third league game and it’s now TOTTENHAM at the top after they won 1-0 at home to London rivals WATFORD. Tottenham have now scored three goals in their three games. Watford have picked up their second blank and now just one goal in their last three games. WEST HAM are in second place after they drew 2-2 at home to CRYSTAL PALACE. It’s 10 goals for West Ham and Palace are now on the score sheet. MANCHESTER UNITED are in third place as they win 1-0 away to WOLVES. United are on 7 goals while Wolves picked up their third blank of the season. CHELSEA are now in fourth place after they drew 1-1 away to LIVERPOOL who are now in fifth place. Chelsea. Both teams are on a total of 6 goals each. ASTON VILLA drew 1-1 at home to BRENTFORD and are on 11 goals while Brentford hit goal number 6. BRIGHTON picked up their first blank score sheet as they lost 2-0 at home to Everton. LEICESTER CITY won 2-1 away to Norwich and are on four goals.
CHAMPIONSHIP
FULHAM are still top after as they won their fourth game out of five as they win 3-1 at home to Stoke. Fulham have now scored in all of their six games and are on a total of 15 goals. WEST BROM are still in second place as they win 1-0 away to PETERBOROUGH. West Brom are on 12 goals while Borough picked up their fourth blank and now two in a row. BARNSLEY drew 1-1 at home to Birmingham and they are on a total of 5 goals. CARDIFF lost 2-1 at home to Bristol City and they are on 12 goals. DERBY drew 1-1 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST and they are on a total of 8 goals to Forest’s 6 goals. READING picked up their second blank of the season after they lost 4-0 away to Huddersfield. HULL have picked up their fourth consecutive blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 at home to BOURNEMOUTH. Bournemouth picked up their second of the week. SHEFFIELD UNITED drew 0-0 away to Luton and that is their fourth blank of the season. PRESTON won 3-1 at home to SWANSEA and they are now on a total of 13 goals while Swansea hit goal number 11.
LEAGUE ONE
SUNDERLAND are top here this weekend with their fourth win of the season as they win 3-1 at home to WYCOMBE. Sunderland are now on a total of 13 goals while Wycombe are on 10 goals. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are down to second place as they lost 1-0 away to Morecambe. That is Wednesday’s third blank of the season. OXFORD UNITED are up to third place as they win 3-1 at home to LINCOLN CITY. With their biggest win of the season to date, Oxford are now on a total of 9 goals while Lincoln picked up their sixth goal after two blank score sheets. BOLTON picked up their third blank and now two in a row after they lost 1-0 away to Cambridge Utd. CHARLTON won 2-0 at home to Crewe and they are on a total of four goals. IPSWICH drew 2-2 at home to AFC Wimbledon and they are on 8 goals. PLYMOUTH drew 1-1 at home to Fleetwood and they are on a total of 11 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games. ROTHERHAM won 2-0 at home to Doncaster and they are on 6 goals. WIGAN won 1-0 at home against PORTSMOUTH and they are on 7 goals while Portsmouth picked up their second consecutive blank score sheet.

The highest team that we have here are SWINDON in fourth place now. They have won their third league game 1-0 at home to Mansfield. Swindon are on 6 goals. EXETER have scored again as they drew 1-1 away to Harrogate. Exeter are on a total of 5 goals. CARLISLE lost 2-1 away to Hartlepool and they are on four goals. SALFORD CITY won 3-0 at home to Newport and they are now on a total of 8 goals. SCUNTHORPE won their first league game 1-0 at home to Tranmere. Scunthorpe are on four goals. SUTTON lost 2-1 at home to Oldham after going a goal up. Sutton are on 5 goals. After a goal run of six games, STEVENAGE picked up their first blank after they lost 1-0 away to Walsall.
SCOTTISH LEAGUES
In the Premiership HEARTS are now our highest team here in second place. They won 2-0 away to Dundee Utd. Hearts are on 17 goals and they have now scored in all of their nine games. RANGERS are now in third place after they beat their rivals CELTIC 1-0 at home. Rangers are now on a total of 13 goals as Celtic picked up their first blank of the season. ABERDEEN have moved down to fourth place after they drew 1-1 at home to Ross County. Aberdeen are on a total of 7 goals.
In the Championship KILMARNOCK are down to third place after they lost 1-0 at home to Inverness CT. Kilmarnock have now had two blank score sheets in their last three games.
In League Two, It’s 20 goals for KELTY HEARTS and they are still on top of the league after they picked up their biggest win 4-1 away to STENHOUSEMUIR. Stenhousemuir are on 9 goals.

ARSENAL beat West Brom 6-0 away and ASTON VILLA won 6-0 away to Barrow both picked up their highest results in the second round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Four.
CHRIS BOLBERY is in his second consecutive weekend at the top and three weeks out of the four already played, after he picked up a total of 6 goals from the week. Chris’s teams are Bournemouth, Celtic and Sunderland.
