Week Thirty

In Week Thirty of the competition we had five players that picked up our highest weekend score with 8 goals each. That means that there is no payout this weekend and next weekend we will have our fifth Rollover of the season worth £10. The players that missed out on the cash this weekend are JASON COOPER, STUART KEMP(2), LUCIFER (John Wood), EMMA NEWMAN and BOB SAWYER.  

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Most of us managed to pick up some midweek goals this week and the race for the cash has almost remined the same this week. We still have LYANNA GRIMWOOD in the lead now with a total of 95 goals and needs just five goals to claim the cash. Lyanna teams are Fulham. Manchester City and Sunderland. In second place we still have BOB SOPER now with a total of 91 goals. In third place is still LOUIE HARRINGTON now with a total of 85 goals. In fourth place with 81 goals we now have KEAMUS SETNA moving up from six. In fifth place down from four we have PETER PORTER on a total of 79 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but three of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play twenty failed to score any goals. We had a really bad weekend for goals as the weekends average score fell from five goals of last weekend down to just 3 goals this week. The highest score we had was four goals and we had four teams that picked them up. They came from OXFORD UNITED, SALFORD CITY, SUTTON UNITED and TOTTENHAM. 

In the Carabao/League Cup Final

We had both teams in the final. But after 90 minutes and extra time, the score remained 0-0 between CHELSEA and LIVERPOOL. Liverpool finally won 11-10 on penalties.  After a goal run of eight games, Liverpool picked up their third blank of the season. Chelsea picked up their fourth blank. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

After scoring a very late goal MANCHESTER CITY won 1-0 away to Everton to take their goals total to 78. They have extended their goal run to nineteen games and now six points in front of Liverpool who now have a game in hand. Chelsea are still in third place. MANCHESTER UNITED are still in fourth place after they drew 0-0 at home to WATFORD to pick up their sixth blank of the season after a goal run of nine games. Watford have now had a total of thirteen blank score sheets. WEST HAM are still in fifth place after they won 1-0 at home to WOLVES.  West Ham are on a total of 52 goals while Wolves picked up their thirteenth blank score sheet. BRENTFORD lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle and that is their eleventh blank score sheet and now just one goal in their last four games. BRIGHTON lost 2-0 at home to ASTON VILLA and they have now had a total of nine blank score sheets and now three in a row. Villa are on a total of 40 goals after a two game dry spell. CRYSTAL PALACE are on 41 goals after they drew 1-1 at home to Burnley. TOTTENHAM pick up their biggest win of the season after they won 4-0 away to Leeds Utd and that has now taken their goals tally to 46. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

We still have the top two here with FULHAM top after they won 1-0 away to CARDIFF. Fulham hit goal number 86 and have scored in all of their last twelve games. BOURNEMOUTH remain in second place after they won 2-1 at home to Stoke. Bournemouth are on 59 goals.

Meanwhile with no teams in the play-offs this week, BARNSLEY won 3-2 at home against Middlesbrough and they are now on a total of 29 goals. READING lost 4-1 away to Blackpool and they are on a total of 43 goals. It’s 50 goals for PRESTON after they drew 1-1 away to Coventry. DERBY are now second from bottom after they lost 1-0 away to Luton. That is Derby’s eleventh blank of the season. SHEFFIELD UNITED picked up their twelfth blank after they lost 1-0 away to Millwall. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 2-0 at home to Bristol City and they are on a total of 52 goals. PETERBOROUGH are bottom of the league after they lost 3-0 at home to HULL. Borough picked up their twentieth blank score sheet and now just one goal in their last six games. Hull are now on a total of 33 goals. 

LEAGUE ONE

We still have the top two teams here with ROTHERHAM still at the top after they won 1-0 away to PLYMOUTH. Rotherham picked up their 67th goal of the season and now have a goal run of nine games. Plymouth picked up their sixth blank of the season and now two in a week. WIGAN are still in second place after they lost 3-0 at home to SUNDERLAND. That is Wigans seventh blank of the season while Sunderland have taken their goals total to 69.

In the Play-Offs we still have three teams with OXFORD UNITED in fourth place after they won 4-2 at home to Cambridge Utd. Oxford are now on a total of 71 goals. Sunderland are now in fifth place after their win with SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY in sixth place after they won 2-0 at home to CHARLTON. Wednesday are on a total of 49 goals as Charlton picked up their tenth blank and now three in a row.

Meanwhile its 60 goals for WYCOMBE after they lost 3-2 away to Accrington Stanley. BURTON ALBION lost 2-0 away to Shrewsbury and that is their tenth blank of the season. LINCOLN CITY lost 2-0 at home to Gillingham and that is their thirteenth blank score sheet. BOLTON lost 2-0 away to MK Dons and they have now had a total of fifteen blank score sheets after a goal run of ten games. IPSWICH drew1-1 away to Morecambe and they are on a total of 56 goals. PORTSMOUTH drew 3-3 at home to Fleetwood and they are now on a total of 46 goals and a goal run of six games. 

LEAGUE TWO

In the Play-Offs we still have three teams this week and they are EXETER CITY still in fourth place after they drew 1-1 away to Bristol Rovers to pick up goal number 50. SUTTON UNITED still in fifth place after they won 4-1 at home to bottom of the table SCUNTHORPE. Sutton are now on a total of 54 goals while Scunthorpe picked up goal number 24. SWINDON are still in seventh place after they lost 2-1 at home to SALFORD CITY. Swindon are on a total of 61 goals while Salford are on a total of 43 goals.

Meanwhile CARLISLE won 1-0 away to Leyton Orient and that is goal number 27 for them. STEVENAGE picked up their seventh blank of the season and now four in a row after they lost 2-0 away to Port Vale.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES

In the Premiership CELTIC are still three point in front after they drew 0-0 away to Hibernian. Celtic after a goal run of ten games picked up their fifth blank of the season. RANGERS have remained in second place and failed to catch up with their rivals after they drew 2-2 at home to Motherwell after going two goals up by half time. Rangers are on a total of 73 goals. HEARTS remain in third place after they won 2-0 away to St Mirren and they are on a total of 53 goals. ABERDEEN drew again 1-1 at home to Dundee Utd and they are on a total of 38 goals and a goal run of seven games.

In the Championship KILMARNOCK drew 0-0 away to Dunfermline and that is their ninth blank of the season.

In League Two KELTY HEARTS remained at the top after they won 3-1 at home to Anna. Kelty have now taken their goals total to 68 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR won 2-0 at home against Forfar and they are on a total of 46 goals.

Our on-form team this week are MANCHESTER CITY after scoring in all of their last nineteen League/Cup games. They have a total of 78 goals. 

Our worst team this week is PETERBOROUGH after they picked up a total of twenty blank score sheets out of a total of thirty-six league/cup games. They have scored just one goal in their last six games. 

Our highest goal scorers in our 39th Season are OXFORD UNITED as they won 7-2 away to Gillingham in the league in Week Twenty-Six. FULHAM have now scored seven goals twice this season. They first won 7-0 away to Blackburn Rovers in the league in Week Fourteen and they have also won 7-0 away to Reading in the league in Week Twenty-Four. MANCHESTER CITY winning 7-0 at home to Leeds Utd in the league in Week Twenty. CHELSEA won 7-0 at home to Norwich in the league in Week Twelve. BRENTFORD won 7-0 at home to Oldham in the third round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Eight.

SCOTT THOMSON (2) has become our eighth player to be top this season after he picked up a total of 12 goals from the week. Scott’s teams are Liverpool, Manchester City and Oxford United. Keamus Setna has moved into second place this weekend after he picked up a total of 11 goals from the week. His teams are Liverpool, Manchester City and Sunderland.

At the other end at 113 we still have ZIGGY (John Wood) again this weekend which is now his twenty-fourth consecutive weekend at the bottom and now twenty-six over the season. Ziggy picked up 8 goals from the week. His teams are Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir. 

Its all change at the top this weekend due to teams not scoring.
