Tottenham Out of FA CUP

We had fifteen of our teams in action last night and a few played in the fifth round of the FA CUP.

In the fifth round of the FA CUP we had a couple of surprises with some of the results as we had four of our teams playing in the first batch of games. The first surprise was that MANCHESTER CITY should of walked this game but they could only beat PETERBOROUGH 2-0 away in this round in the second half. City have taken their goal tally to 80 goals and they have now scored in all of their last twenty games. Peterborough who put up a good fighter against City, picked up their twenty-first blank of the season and now two in a row. Borough have now scored just one goal in their last seven games. In a shock result TOTTENHAM lost 1-0 away to Middlesbrough in extra time. Tottenham have now had a total of eleven blank score sheets to date. CRYSTAL PALACE are through to the quarter-finals after they won 2-1 at home to Stoke.

In the Premier League LEICESTER CITY are on a total of 51 goals after they won 2-0 away to Burnley.

In the Championship CARDIFF CITY won 1-0 at home against DERBY and that is their 47th goal of the season. Derby picked up their twelfth blank score sheet and now two in a row.

In League One top of the table ROTHERHAM drew 0-0 away to Shrewsbury and that is their seventh blank score sheet after a goal run of nine games. WIGAN in second place won 2-0 at home against Fleetwood. Wigan are on a total of 66 goals. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY picked up the biggest result of the night and their best result so far as they win 5-2 at home to BURTON ALBION. Wednesday have moved up to fifth place and are now on a total of 54 goals. Burton are on a total of 48 goals. PORTSMOUTH won 3-2 at home to OXFORD UNITED and have taken their goals tally up to 49 and have extended their goal run to seven games. Oxford are on a total of 73 goals. WYCOMBE won 3-0 at home to Cambridge and they have taken their goals total to 63.

In League Two CARLISLE won 2-0 at home to Rochdale and they are on a total of 29 goals.
