                             ARSENAL 3, MANCHESTER CITY 4, TOTTENHAM 3

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Congratulations to TONY KING and JAMES SOMERVILLE on reaching 100 midweek goals first this season. Although Tony needed just 2 goals to win and James 5 goals, both had their teams in action on Easter Monday and both reached their target. Tony received his goals from Peterborough, while James from Leicester City and Peterborough. So The Midweek Prize Money of £25 was shared between the two. The last time that the Midweek Prize Money was shared was back in the 2020/21 Season.

Most of us have managed to pick up a goal or two this week and although the race for the cash is over, there is a record to beat still. There are 10 players that have now reached 100 or more goals and there will be a few more in the coming weeks. The record to beat is 136 midweek goals and the record holder is Daryl Nicholls from the 2016/17 Season.

So the race now takes on a whole new meaning. Leading for the record this week we have MARK JOHNSTON with 106 goals. Next we have TONY KING with a total of 104 goals. Then we have BAILEY MORAN and ANN WELLARD with a total of 103 goals each. ANDY EYLES  follows with a total of 102 goals.  With 101 goals we have GEOFF CARTHY and DOUG MORBEY. Then following them we have JOHN FILTNESS, ANDREW HAMMOND and JAMES SOMERVILLE all on 100 goals.
