Week Ten

In Week Ten of the competition we are half-way through the first half. There was no Weekend Prize Money this weekend, due to the International games. That means that we will have our second Rollover of the season worth £10 next weekend.

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Most of us managed to pick up some goals this week, which means that our top five have had a slight change this week. In the lead this week we still have EMMAF now with a total of 38 goals. Her teams are Ayr United, Brighton and Crewe. In second place we still have DAVID BARRETT with 30 goals. In third place we still have HAYLEY ADKINS and BISH-BASH-BOSH (Keith Rattle) both with a total of 29 goals. In fourth place, we still have BARBARA BARNES (1), our joint 2023/24 Champion, JOHN FILTNESS and our 2005/06 Champion, KEAMUS SETNA.  All are on a total of 24 goals. In fifth place we still have our 2017/18 Champion CHRIS BOLBERY and COURTNEYP both on a total of 22 goals.

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had hardly any of our teams in action over the weekend, in fact we had 14 teams playing and out of them 4 of them failed to score any goals. The highest score over the weekend was 4 goals, and they came from two of our teams. League One with LEYTON ORIENT and League Two with MK DONS.

Lets get on with the results to see how your teams have performed this weekend.

LEAGUE ONE

LEYTON ORIENT picked up their biggest result of the season by winning 4-0 at home against Doncaster. Orient have taken their goals tally to 20 and have now scored in all of their last 6 league/cup games. BOLTON lost 3-0 away to Burton and picked up their third blank of the season. STOCKPORT COUNTY won 1-0 at home to BLACKPOOL and hit goal number 21. County have now scored in all of their last 7 league games. Blackpool picked up their seventh blank and now two in a row. WYCOMBE won 1-0 away to Wigan and are on a total of 18 goals and have now scored in all of their last 7 league games.

LEAGUE TWO

WALSALL are still top of the table after they drew 1-1 away to Crawley. Walsall are now on a total of 18 goals and have now scored in all of their last 8 league games. Swindon Town remain in second place after they had no game this week. GILLINGHAM are in third place after they drew 1-1 at home to Cheltenham. Gillingham are on a total of 19 goals. MK DONS won 4 -0 away to Bristol Rovers and have taken their gaols tally to 23. They have now scored in all of their last 6 league games. CHESTERFIELD won 2-0 at home against Salford and are on a total of 22 goals. They have now scored in all of their last 5 league games. BARNET won 2-0 away to Tranmere and are on a total of 18 goals and have now scored in all of their last 10 league games. BROMLEY won 1-0 away to CREWE and are on a total of 20 goals. Crewe picked up their fourth blank of the season.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES

In the Championship, AYR UNITED won 2-0 away to Raith Rovers and are on a total of 26 goals. ROSS COUNTY picked up their second blank scoresheet after a goal run of 7 league/cup games after they drew 0-0 away to St Johnstone.

Our BEST three teams are

HEARTS (33) CARDIFF CITY (26) AYR UNITED (26) Total of 85 goals

Our WORST three teams are

SHEFFIELD UNITED (4) NOTTINGHAM FOREST (7) WEST HAM (8) Total of 19 goals

Our best performing team are still HEARTS, after they have now scored in all of their 12 league/cup games. With a total of 33 goals, their average score is 2.7 goals per game.

Our worst performing team is SHEFFIELD UNITED this weekend, as they have picked up 6 blank score sheets in their 10 league/cup games.

Our highest scoring team in our 43rd Season is ROSS COUNTY. They won 8-0 at home against Edinburgh City in the first round group stages of the Scottish League Cup in Week One.

HAYLEY ADKINS remains at the top for the third consecutive weekend. Hayley did not have any of her teams in action over the weekend. Hayley’s teams are Hearts, Liverpool and Manchester City. David Barrett in second place also had none of his teams in action this week. David’s teams are Celtic, Hearts and Liverpool.

At the other end at 111 we still have ANN WELLARD with her seventh consecutive weekend. Ann, like most of us, had none of her teams in action this week. Ann has Aston Villa, Celtic and Sheffield United.

As you can see that we have had a little change in our top ten this weekend.
