Week Fifteen

Because of the European Championship Quailifying games, only half of us picked up some goals at the weekend. We had just fifteen of our teams in action over the weekend and out of them, seven failed to score any goals.
The highest score that we had was five goals and they came from STEVENAGE in League Two. They won 5-1 at home against Cheltenham which is their highest score to date for this season. Stevenage are now on a total of 26 goals and they have just one vote.
This is there second season with Golden Goals and in their very first back in our 2012/13 season they netted a total of 53 goals. So they are already halfway to their highest score to date. With a grand total of 79 goals, they have now scored an average of 39 goals per season.

LEAGUE ONE
BRISTOL CITY are top in this league but they lost 1-0 away to the team right behind them Swindon. City picked up their second blank of the season after a goal run of fourteen games. PRESTON are third but also lost 2-1 to Bradford at home. That was Preston’s 35th goal. SHEFFIELD UNITED won 1-0 away to DONCASTER to pick up goal number 29 while Doncaster picked up blank number seven and they have now scored just two goals in their last four games. PETERBOROUGH drew 0-0 away to Walsall to get their 5th blank score sheet of the season.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES

In Scotland just four of our teams managed to play here. RANGERS drew 1-1 at home to Alloa to pick up their 43rd goal of the season and after a goal run of eighteen games, they still have a 100% scoring record. HEARTS won 2-1 away to Falkirk and are now on 37 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR beat DUNFERMLINE 1-0 at home to pick up goal number 21 while Dunfermline picked up their 4th blank of the season.

THE WORST THREE TEAMS ARE…

QPR (11) ROTHERHAM (16) MANCHESTER UTD (17) Total of 44 goals.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS are still our worst team for this season. After a total of twelve games, in which eleven are league games and a cup game, Rangers have now picked up eleven goals and they have had five blank score sheets.

MANCHESTER CITY  have picked up our highest score of  the season when they won their Capital One Cup third round tie against Sheffield Wednesday 7-0 at home.

LEYTON ORIENT, PORTSMOUTH and ROTHERHAM  have all now picked up the most number of blank score sheets this season with a total of eight games each.

We are following Manchester City record breaking end of season score of 137 goals from last season, In Week fifteen last season, City had no midweek or weekend games. Their goals tally have remained at 35 goals after their first thirteen games played. They have had two blank score sheet’s and their highest score was seven goals against Norwich in the league.
This season they also had no midweek or weekend game, which means that they are still on 29 goals this weekend. They have had two blank score sheet after thirteen games. They are six goals behind last seasons record run. They are home to Swansea this weekend.

Due to the lack of games last week, Here is how our top five still looks
