Rangers are Champions and Back in the Premiership

We have had a total of twenty-three of our Golden Goals teams in midweek action with DERBY picking up the highest score so far. They won 4-0 at home to HULL and it’s been since week 20 for Derby to pick up a big score like this one. Derby are now on 60 goals while Hull picked up another blank score sheet and now twelve over the season.
Meanwhile from the English Championship, BRIGHTON are now on 58 goals as they win 2-1 away to Birmingham. BRENTFORD have picked up another three goals as they win 3-1 at home to BOLTON. Brentford take their goals tally up to 54 while Bolton picked up goal number 42 after they failed to score in their last two previous games. BRISTOL CITY picked up their 44th goal as they drew 1-1 at home to Rotherham while BURNLEY after a goal run of eight games picked up their 11th blank of the season as they drew 0-0 at home to CARDIFF who have now had thirteen blank score sheets. IPSWICH drew 0-0 at home to CHARLTON to make it three games without a goal by collecting blank number fifteen. Charlton picked up their 19th. LEEDS are on 44 goals after they drew 1-1 at home to QUEENS PARK RANGERS, Rangers are now on 54. MIDDLESBROUGH also picked up another three goals to give them a total of 63 as they win 3-0 at home to Huddersfield. After going a goal up, MK DONS lost 2-1 at home to WOLVES. NOTTINGHAM FOREST are on 39 after a two game dry spell for goals but they lost 2-1 away to Reading. PRESTON lost 2-1 at home against Fulham and that was their 45th goal of the season.
In League One, PETERBOROUGH lost 2-0 away to Fleetwood to pick up their 8th blank of the season while SWINDON picked up their 12th as they lost 2-0 away to Oldham.
In League Two, STEVENAGE drew 0-0 at home to Yeovil and that was their 14th blank score sheet of the season.

We had just three of our Scottish teams in action and the surprise here is that CELTIC from the Premiership drew their 7th league game of the season as they drew 0-0 away to Dundee. That was Celtic’s fourth blank of the season. In the Championship is where the good news came from as RANGERS are now promoted back into the Premiership after four long years out of the top flight as they win just 1-0 at home against Dumbarton.  That was their 104th goal of the season and they are still our only team to pick up over 100 goals this season. With our last result, HIBERNIAN are on 68 goals as they win 2-1 at home to Livingston.
