Wolves Still Top


In the English Championship, leaders Wolves are still just three points in front of second place Cardiff after both teams won their games last night. WOLVES won 3-0 at home to READING which takes their goals total to 71 while Reading picked up their fifteenth blank of the season.  CARDIFF won 3-1 away to BRENTFORD after going a goal down. Cardiff are now on 65 goals and Brentford picked up goal number 61. Third place ASTON VILLA could miss out on automatic promotion as they went down 3-1 at home to QUEENS PARK RANGERS. Villa are now on a total of 68 goals while Rangers are now on 45. It’s 50 goals for NORWICH as they drew 1-1 away to Barnsley and HULL are picking up them goals as they win 3-0 away to IPSWICH to give them a total of 56 goals. Ipswich picked up their thirteenth blank score sheet and now two in a row. After a two game dry spell for goals, SHEFFIELD UNITED are now on 57 goals as they win 2-0 at home to BURTON ALBION. Burton have now had a total of twenty-one blank score sheets and now no goals in their last four games.  
In League One CHARLTON picked up their ninth blank of the season as they lost 1-0 away to Blackpool, PETERBOROUGH Won 1-0 away to Bury and that is their 75th goal of the season. It’s been a while since MK DONS had a big score and they did last night as they win 3-2 at home to Rotherham. The Dons are now on 46 goals. SOUTHEND picked up their third consecutive blank score sheet as they drew 0-0 away to Rochdale and that now gives them a total of thirteen over the season.
In League Two, PORT VALE are now on 45 goals as they drew 1-1 away to Barnet. COVENTRY drew 2-2 at home to LUTON who are now on a total of 51 goals while Luton are now on 85. EXETER picked up their ninth blank of the season as they drew 0-0 at home to Yeovil.

In the Scottish League One, RAITH ROVERS are just one point in front of Ayr in second place after they lost 2-1 away to Forfar. Raith are now on a total of 65 goals. In League Two, ELGIN CITY lost 1-0 away to Clyde to pick up their twelfth blank of the season while top of the table PETERHEAD lost 2-1 at home to STENHOUSEMUIR. Peterhead are now on a total of 87 goals while Stenhousemuir are on 49.
