Carabao Cup Third Round

As the number of Coronavirus cases rise here in the UK, it was only a matter of time that it would hit the football fixtures. That unfortunately was the case last night as some players from the Leyton Orient were tested positive with the virus. So there cup game against TOTTENHAM was called off. Let’s hope that this is just a one off although with tougher rules from the government means that teams hoping for fans to return to their grounds in October, will now not happen.

So here are the cup results from last night. We had seven of our teams starting the games in this round and out of them three have made it through to the next round. They were MANCHESTER UNITED as they win 3-0 away to LUTON. United are now on four goals from their two games played. Luton after scoring in all of their first four games picked up their first blank of the season. WEST HAM picked up their highest result of the season as they won 5-1 at home to HULL. West Ham are now on a total of 9 goals while Hull picked up goal number five. BRENTFORD drew 2-2 away to WEST BROM but then won 5-4 on penalties. Brentford have taken their goals total to 8 goals while West Brom are on seven. WATFORD go out after they lost 3-1 away to Newport. That is Watford’s third goal of the season.
