In Week Eighteen of the competition, we had our seventeenth winner of the season who picked up the full Weekend Jackpot Prize Money of £6 and that all went to STUART KEMP (1). Stuart started with us back in the 2012/13 Season where he finished in 64th place with a total of 251 goals. Last season Stuart changed his game plan and entered two combo’s. His best combo finished in 105 place with 228 goals and that was his second combo. His first finished in 118th place with 188 goals. This season it’s his first that has won him some cash. With his highest personal score this is only the second time that he has been out of the 100’s. His highest was in Week One in 89th place. He has picked up just two blank score sheets at the weekend. His winning teams are
MANCHESTER CITY 3, OXFORD UNITED 5, TOTTENHAM 3
All but seven of us picked up some goals this week once again and it has changed the order in the race for the cash. We now have five players that are on or over the halfway stage to the cash. WEEKEND
RESULTS
This weekend it seems that not only do we have the coronavirus taking a toll with our fixtures but also the weather now as games were cancelled. We had a total of twenty-six of our teams without a game over the weekend with another twelve that failed to score any goals. The good news is that most of us managed to pick up some goals from our combo’s, which means that this weekends average score went down from five of last weekend to just 3 goals this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was five goals and they came from OXFORD UNITED after they won 5-1 away to Burton. Oxford picked up their highest result of the season and they are now on a total of 33 goals. Oxford United became our 34th English team to be voted in and they first started with us back in the 2984/85 Season and finished with a total of 98 goals which is their highest score to date. The last time that we saw them in Golden Goals was back in the 2012/13 Season with them finishing with a total of 67 goals. This is their eighth season with us and they have scored a total of 551 goals. This gives them an average score of 68 goals per season. This season they have a total of four votes and they have picked up a total of eight blank score sheets out of their twenty-three league/cup games.
