Welcome
back to Golden Goals and may I
start off by wishing you and your family a very “Happy
New Year” and hoping that we all have
a much better year than 2020. Also a big thank you for your support over the
last year.
Well
we had a couple of games to start off the New Year as we have a look at the New
Year Days results.
In
the Premier League, MANCHESTER
UNITED have now won four of their last five games as they win 2-1 at home
to ASTON VILLA. United are now on a total of 41 goals and have scored in
all of their last six games. They are joint top with Liverpool. Villa are on a
total of 35 goals. WEST HAM won 1-0 away to EVERTON and they are
on a total of 33 goals while Everton picked up their fourth blank and now just
one goal in their last three games.
In
the Championship, DERBY picked
up their thirteenth blank score sheet of the season after they lost 1-0 away to
Sheffield Wednesday.
