Forest Remain in 15th Place

In the Championship NOTTINGHAM FOREST drew 1-1 away to QPR with a late goal and that is their 21st goal of the season.

More Caraboa Cup Fourth Round Results

 

In the Carabao/League Cup fourth round we had another eight of our teams in action. Out of them five have made it through to the next round. They are TOTTENHAM who beat Burnley 1-0 away. Tottenham are on a total of 12 goals. LIVERPOOL kept their 100% scoring record alive as they win 2-0 away to PRESTON. Liverpool are now on a total of 32 goals. Preston picked up their sixth blank and now two in a row. BRENTFORD won 2-1 away to Stoke and they are on a total of 23 goals. LEICESTER CITY drew 2-2 at home to BRIGHTON and they then won 4-2 on penalties. Leicester are on a total of 19 goals and a goal run of seven games. Brighton are on a total of 15 goals. WEST HAM drew 0-0 at home to MANCHESTER CITY and then won 5-3 on penalties. But West ham after a goal run of six games, have now picked up their second blank score sheet. City after a goal run of five games picked up their third blank of the season. 

In the Scottish Premiership RANGERS drew 2-2 at home to ABERDEEN and they have extended their goal run to eleven games and are on a total of 26 goals. Aberdeen are on a total of 14 goals. CELTIC have moved up to second place behind Rangers after they won 3-1 away to Hibernian. Celtic are now on a total of 32 goals. HEARTS drew 1-1 away to St Johnstone and they are on a total of 27 goals and a goal run of six games. They have dropped down to third place.

Carabao Cup Fourth Round and League

In the Carabao/League Cup fourth round, we had just three of our teams in action. The good news is that all three are through to the next round. ARSENAL won 2-0 at home to Leeds Utd and they are on a total of 21 goals. CHELSEA drew their game 1-1 at home to Southampton to pick up goal number 25. With no extra time this season, Chelsea won 4-3 on penalties. SUNDERLAND drew 0-0 away to QPR after the full 90 minutes and then won 3-1 on penalties. That is Sunderland’s fourth blank and now two in a row. 

In League One WIGAN lost 2-1 at home to LINCOLN CITY. Wigan are on a total of 26 goals and they have now scored in all of their last seven games. Lincoln take their goals tally to 21 goals. 

In League Two SUTTON UNITED won 3-1 away to Colchester Utd and they are now on a total of 25 goals. They have now scored in all of their last seven games. 

In the Scottish Championship, KILMARNOCK go to the top after they won 1-0 away to Ayr and they are on a total of 21 goals.

Week Twelve

Here in Week Twelve of the competition and we had our third lady winner to win some cash this season and they are JULIA WOOD. Julia won on our top score of the season a massive total of 16 goals. This now brings our winners total up to fifteen. Julia started with us in the 2016/17 Season but the last time that Julia appeared with Golden Goals was in the 2019/20 Season on where she finished in 100th place with a total of 231 goals. This season Julia with her personal best weekend score has moved up to her highest position to date. She has picked up a total of three blank score sheets and her best team is Liverpool. Julia’s winners teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Most of us managed to pick up some midweek goals this week and it was LOUIE HARRINGTON that picked up the most amount of goals with nine. They came from Arsenal five and Sunderland four. His third team is Manchester City. Louie is now on a total of 36 goals. The race for the cash has changed this week. In the lead we now have PETER PORTER up from two with a total of 38 goals. His combo are Bournemouth, Rangers and Sunderland. In second place we now have down from one COLIN WEBB and now with BOB SOPER up from four. Both are on a total of 37 goals. In third place down from one we now have GEOFF CARTHY and joing him coming straight in this week we have LOUIE HARRINGTON. Both are on a total of 36 goals. In fourth place with 35 goals we have LYANNA GRIMWOOD moving up from five. In fifth place this week we have JAMIE WOOD down from four with our 2007/08 Champion RICKY WOOD. Both are on a total of 33 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but two of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play only ten of them failed to score any goals. The good news is that we all managed to pick up some goals once again as we had one hell of a weekend for goals. This weekends average score shot up from five goals last weekend to 7 goals this weekend. The Highest score over the weekend was seven goals again and they came from CHELSEA. They won 7-0 at home to bottom of the table Norwich. Chelsea with their biggest score of the season have taken their goals tally to 24 goals. 

Chelsea are just one of our four teams that have appeared in all of our 39 Seasons. In our very first of 1983/84 they became our 24th most voted team and they finished on a total of 98 goals. Their biggest score came in the 2009/10 Season with 128 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 76 goals. Over the years they have netted a total of 3128 goals which gives them an average score of 80 goals per season. This season they have twenty votes and they have only picked up one blank score sheet to date. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

We still have the top seven teams here this week with Chelsea keeping on top after their big win against Norwich. LIVERPOOL are still in second place after they thrashed MANCHESTER UNITED 5-0 away. Liverpool are now on a total of 30 goals and have kept their 100% scoring record after ten games played. United in 7th place picked up their third blank of the season. MANCHESTER CITY are still in third place as they win 4-1 away to BRIGHTON. City are now on a total of 26 goals and now have a goal run for five games. Brighton after failing to score in their last two games, picked up goal number 13. CRYSTAL PALACE drew 1-1 at home to Newcastle and they are on a total of 11 goals. WATFORD after a two game dry spell for goals are now on a total of 14 goals as they win 5-2 away to Everton. WOLVES drew 1-1 away to Leeds and they are on 15 goals and a goal run of five games. LEICESTER CITY won 2-1 away to BRENTFORD and are now on a total of 17 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games. Brentford are on 21 goals this week. WEST HAM won 1-0 at home to London rivals TOTTENHAM and they picked up goal number 17 and they have now scored in all of their last six games. Tottenham picked up their third blank score sheet. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

BOURNEMOUTH are now five points in front as they win 3-0 at home to Huddersfield. Bournemouth are on a total of 29 goals. FULHAM are up to second place after they win 4-0 away to NOTTINGHAM FOREST. Fulham are now on a total of 35 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games. Forest picked up their fourth blank score sheet. WEST BROM are down to third place as they win 3-0 at home to Bristol City. West Brom are now on a total of 25 goals. SWANSEA lost 2-1 away to Birmingham but picked up goal number 22. READNG lost 2-0 away to Blackburn and that is their fourth blank of the season. PRESTON picked up their fifth blank score sheet after they lost 2-0 away to Blackpool. CARDIFF lost 2-0 at home to Middlesbrough and that is their eight blank and now five in a row. DERBY drew 1-1 away to Coventry and they are on 14 goals. HULL lost 1-0 away to Luton and that is their ninth blank of the season. PETERBOROUGH won 2-1 at home to QPR and they are on 16 goals. BARNSLEY lost 3-2 at home to SHEFFIELD UNITED and they are on a total of 9 goals after a three games with out a goal. Sheffield are now on  a total of 23 goals. 

LEAGUE ONE

We now have the top six teams here this week with PLYMOUTH still on top on goal average as they drew 1-1 away to Morecambe. Plymouth are now on a total of 31 goals and a goal run of sixteen games. WYCOMBE are still in second place after they won 2-1 at home to Crewe. Wycombe are on a total of 25 goals this week. WIGAN are still in third place after they won 3-0 away to AFC Wimbledon. Wigan are now on a total of 25 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games. PORTSMOUTH drew 2-2 away to Accrington and they are on a total of 18 goals. BOLTON drew 2-2 at home to Gillingham and they are on 22 goals after failing to score in their last three. OXFORD UNITED are on 24 goals after they won 3-1away to BURTON ALBION. Burton picked up goal number 17 and now have a goal run of seven games. IPSWICH won 2-1 at home to Fleetwood and they are on 29 goals and they have now scored in all of their last thirteen games. ROTHERHAM won 2-0 away to MK Dons and they are on 24 goals. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY drew 1-1 at home to LINCOLN CITY and they are on 17 goals and a goal run of nine games. Lincoln are on 19 goals. SUNDERLAND lost 1-0 at home to CHARLTON and that is their third blank as Charlton take their goals total to 16 and a goal run of ten games. 

LEAGUE TWO

EXTER CITY are now our highest team here now in fourth place. They won 2-1 at home to Mansfield and they are on a total of 23 goals. They have now scored in all of their last eight games. CARLISLE drew 0-0 at home to Oldham and they have now had a total of eight blank score sheets. SALFORD CITY lost 3-1 away to Forest Green and they are on a total of 18 goals. SUTTON UNITED lost 3-2 away to Rochdale and they are on 22 goals and a goal run of six games. SCUNTHORPE won 2-1 at home to Crawley and they are now on a total of 10 goals. STEVENAGE drew 0-0 at home to Leyton Orient and that is their sixth blank and now three in a row. SWINDON lost 3-1 at home to Bradford and they are on a total of 19 goals.

SCOTTISH LEAGUES

In the SCOTTISH CUP first round games, we had two of our teams in this round and the good news is that both have made it through to the next round with no trouble. Kelty Hearts won 4-1 at home to non-league Buckle Thistle and they are now on  a total of 34 goals and they have now scored in all of their last eleven games. STENHOUSEMUIR also won 4-1 at home to non-league Huntly and with their biggest result to date are now on a total of 19 goals. 

In the Premiership, RANGERS are now three point in front of second place Hearts as they win 2-1 away to St Mirren. Rangers are on a total of 24 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. HEARTS hit goal number 26 after they drew 1-1 at home to Dundee. CELTIC are still in fourth place after they won 2-0 at home to St Johnston. Celtic are on a total of 29 goals. ABERDEEN won 1-0 at home to Hibernian and that is their 12th goal of the season.

In the Championship, KILMARNOCK won 2-1 at home to Hamilton which has moved them up to second place with a total of 20 goals.

Our on-form team is PLYMOUTH after scoring in all of their last sixteen League/Cup games with a total of 31 goals. 

Our worst team this week are BOLTON after they have picked up nine blank score sheets out of seventeen games played. 

Our highest goal scorers in our 39th Season are now CHELSEA after they won 7-0 at home to Norwich in the league in Week Twelve. BRENTFORD won 7-0 at home to Oldham in the third round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Eight.

We have a new leader this week as LYANNA GRIMWOOD becomes our first lady at the top and our third player to be there this season. Lyanna picked up a total of fourteen goals this week and her teams are Fulham, Manchester City and Sunderland. Chris Bolbery after nine consecutive weekend at the top has dropped down to second place and is now three goals behind Lyanna. Chris picked up a total of ten goals this week. He’s teams are Bournemouth, Celtic and Sunderland.

At the other end at 113 we still have ZIGGY (John Wood) here this weekend which is now his eighth consecutive weekend at the bottom. Ziggy did pick up a total of ten goals this week from Stenhousemuir. His teams are Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir.

A Win for Arsenal

In the Premier League ARSENAL have played their second game of the week. After they drew with Crystal Palace in the first part of the week, they then went on to win their second game and fourth league game 3-1 at home to ASTON VILLA. Arsenal are now on a total of 19 goals while Villa picked up their 20th of the season and a goal run of six games.

Fulham Five Points Behind Leaders

We had another nine of our teams in action and they all came from the Championship. FULHAM have moved up to second place after they won 2-0 at home against CARDIFF. Fulham are on a total of 31 goals while Cardiff picked up their seventh blank of the season and they have now failed to score in their last four games. WEST BROM are down to third place as they lost 2-1 away to SWANSEA. West Brom picked up goal number 22 while Swansea take their goals total to 21. HULL lost 2-1 at home to PETERBOROUGH and they are now on a total of 10 goals. Borough are now on 14 goals. BARNSLEY picked up their eighth blank of the season and now three in a row after they lost 2-0 away to Middlesbrough. Barnsley have now scored just two goals in their last eight games. PRESTON won 2-1 at home to Coventry and they are on a total of 25 goals. READING lost 3-2 at home to Blackpool and they are on a total of 20 goals.

Bournemouth Doing Well Now

We had twenty-four of our teams in action last night and we had two teams that picked up the highest scores and they were Ipswich and Sunderland.

 In the Championship BOURNEMOUTH won 1-0 away to Stoke to go six points in front of West Brom. Bournemouth are on a total of 26 goals. It’s 20 goals for NOTTINGHAM FOREST as they win 2-1 away to Bristol City. DERBY are still bottom as they drew 2-2 at home to Luton. After failing to score in their last two games, Derby are now on a total of 13 goals. SHEFFIELD UNITED lost 2-1 at home against Millwall and that was goal number 20 for them. 

In League One PLYMOUTH are still top and a point clear after they won 3-0 at home to BOLTON. Plymouth have taken their goals tally up to 30 goals and have extended their goal run to fifteen games. Bolton picked up their ninth blank and now three in a row. SUNDERLAND are now in second place after they won 4-0 away to Crewe and are now on a total of 31 goals. WYCOMBE have dropped down to third place after they drew 0-0 away to ROTHERHAM. That was Wycombe’s fourth blank while Rotherham, after a goal run of eight games, picked up their third blank. IPSWICH won 4-0 away to PORTSMOUTH and they are now on a total of 27 goals and a goal run of twelve games now. Portsmouth after a goal run of six games picked up their fourth blank of the season. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY drew 1-1 away to Cambridge Utd and they are on a total of 16 goals and have now scored in all of their last eight games. CHARLTON lost 3-2 at home to Accrington and they are on a total of 15 goals and a goal run of nine games. Arsenal Drop Points

In the Premier League ARSENAL are making very slow progress moving up the league after they drew 2-2 at home to CRYSTAL PALACE. Palace scored a late goal in time added on. Arsenal have now moved up to 12th place and have a total of 16 goals. Palace are on a total of 10 goals.

Week Eleven

Here in Week Eleven of the competition and we had a total of three winners that won on a score of 10 goals to share our second £10 Rollover of the season. All three are first time winners and that brings our winners total up to fourteen. They are MARK JOHNSTON, STUART KEMP (1) and RICKY MILES.

Mark is in his second season with us and last season he finished in the winning frame in fifth place with a total of 292 goals. He also had one weekend shared win. This season he has kept two of his winning teams from last season and he has picked up three blank score sheets to date. With his highest weekend score, Mark is at his highest position to date.

Stuart started with us in the 2012/13 season and has been with us ever since. Now Stuart has two combos each season and last season he finished in 17th place with his first combo with 276 goals. His second combo finished in 48th place with 257 goals. He also picked up four weekend wins. This season with combo one, he has also picked up three blank score sheets and this is his personal best weekend score. The highest that his first combo has been is 32nd place in Week One.

Ricky started with us in the 2017/18 Season on where he finished in 56th place with a total of 278 goals. He picked up one weekend win. Last season he finished in 42nd place with 263 goals. This season he has picked up three blank score sheets and this is his personal best score. This is Ricky’s highest position to date. Our winners teams are

Both with a total of 30 goals each. In fifth place we have TONY KING and and now joining him down from fourth place is LYANNA GRIMWOOD both with a total of 29 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but five of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play thirteen of them failed to score any goals. The good news is that we all managed to pick up some goals. With a flat zero last weekend, this weekends average score went up to 5 goals. 

The Highest score over the weekend was five goals again and they came from LIVERPOOL. They won 5-0 away to WATFORD and it is their highest score to date keeping their 100% scoring intact. Liverpool have taken their goals tally up to 25 goals and they have now scored in all of their nine games play. Watford picked up their fifth blank and now two in a row.

Liverpool are one of our original teams and they were our top team back in the 1983/84 Season. In our first season they finished on a total of 103 goals. Two season’s later they picked up their highest end of season score with a total of 127 goals. Last season they finished with a total of 81 goals. They have been in every season with Golden Goals and over the years they have scored a total of 3211 goals which gives them an average score of 82 goals per season. This season they are going great on the goals front. They have a total of 30 votes this season.

CHRIS BOLBERY is now in his ninth consecutive weekend at the top and now ten weeks over the season. Chris picked up a total of six goals all coming from the weekend. He’s teams are Bournemouth, Celtic and Sunderland. Chris is now just one goal in front of Lyanna Grimwood in second place who picked up a total of eight goals this weekend. Lyanna teams are Fulham, Manchester City and Sunderland.

At the other end at 113 we still have ZIGGY (John Wood) here this weekend which is now his seventh consecutive weekend at the bottom. Ziggy did pick up two goals this weekend from Stenhousemuir. His teams are Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir.

Three Games = Seven Goals

We had three of our teams in action last night and they all picked up some goals.

In Championship WEST BROM won 1-0 at home to Birmingham and that is goal number 21 for them.

In League One BURTON ALBION won 3-2 at home to Morecambe and they are now on a total of 15 goals.

In the Scottish League Two, KELTY HEARTS are still top as they win 3-2 away to Edinburgh City and they are now on a total of 30 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games.

Week Ten

Here in Week Ten of the competition we are halfway through the first half of the season already. Although there was no cash prize money to win this weekend, we did have two players that picked up the most number of goals with four each. They were DAVID BARRETT and LUCIFER (John Wood). Dave picked up his goals from Ipswich and Stevenage with two goals each. Derby is his third team. Lucifer picked up his four goals all from Sutton United. His other teams are Bournemouth and Rangers. 

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

With no midweek games this week the race for the cash has remained the same as last weeks. In the lead we still have GEOFF CARTHY, PETER PORTER and COLIN WEBB all three have a total of 33 goals. In second place we have RICKY WOOD our 2007/08 Champion with a total of 31 goals. In third place is, BOB SOPER with a total of 30 goals. In fourth place we have LYANNA GRIMWOOD and JAMIE WOOD both with a total of 29 goals. In fifth place we have TONY KING and BOB SAWYER both with a total of 28 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We only had thirteen of our teams in action this weekend due to the World Cup qualify Rounds being played this week. Out of them only two of them failed to score any goals. So again is was not a high scoring weekend due to the lack of teams not playing this weekend. The average score went from five of last weekend back down to zero goals this weekend.

The Highest score over the weekend was four goals again and they came from our new boys SUTTON UNITED. They won 4-3 at home against Port Vale and that has taken their goals tally up to 18 goals. They have now scored a total of ten goals in their last three games. 

LEAGUE ONE

We had just six of our teams here to play over the weekend with PLYMOUTH going top on goal average as they won 2-1 at home to BURTON ALBION. Plymouth are on a total of 24 goals and have extended their goal run to thirteen games. Burton are on a total of 12 goals. WYCOMBE are now in second place after they won 2-0 at home to Gillingham. Wycombe are on a total of 21 goals this week. IPSWICH won 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury and they are on a total of 21 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. SHEFFIED WEDNESDAY  won 1-0 at home to BOLTON as they picked up goal number 13 and a goal run of six games, Bolton picked up their seventh blank of the season.   

LEAGUE TWO

We had all of our teams in action in this league with SWINDON being our highest team here now in third place. They won 2-0 away to Forest Green and they are on a total of 14 goals. CARLISLE lost 3-0 away to Bristol Rovers and they have now had a total of six blank score sheets and now three games in a row. SCUNTHORPE lost a massive 6-1 away to Harrogate Town but they did pick up goal number 7 after a run of two blank score sheets. STEVENAGE drew 2-2 at home to EXETER CITY and they are on a total of 15 goals to Exeter's total of 16 goals this weekend. SALFORD CITY lost 2-1 away to Walsall and they are now on a total of 15 goals.

Our worst team this week are still HULL after they have picked up seven blank score sheets out of twelve games played. 

Our highest goal scorers in our 39th Season are now BRENTFORD who won 7-0 at home to Oldham in the third round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Eight.

Week Nine

Here in Week Nine of the competition we had our eleventh winner of the season and it goes to STEVE AYRES who won on a  score of 9 goals which is his personal best score to date.  Steve started with us back in the 2011/12 Season where he finished in 97th place with a total of 237 goals. Last season Steve finished in 71st place with a total of 245 goals but he did pick up one weekend win. This season he has picked up just one blank weekend score sheet and his best team is Rangers. His highest position is 42  in Week two. Steve’s winning teams are

Over half of us have picked up some midweek goals this week with LYANNA  GRIMWOOD picking up the highest score with eight goals. They came from Fulham 3, Sunderland 5 and her third team is Manchester City who had no game. The race for the cash has changed again. Portsmouth picked up their highest result of the season as they won 4-0 at home to SUNDERLAND. Portsmouth are now on a total of 15 goals while Sunderland picked up their second blank of the season after a goal run of eight games. Wycombe won 4-3 at home to Morecambe and that is also their highest score of the season.  Wycombe are now on a total of 19 goals this week. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

CHELSEA are now back on top of the league after they won 3-1 at home against Southampton. Chelsea are now on a total of 16 goals. LIVERPOOL have dropped down to second place after their 1-1 draw at home against MANCHESTER CITY. Liverpool have extended their goal run to eight games and they now have a total of 20 goals. City are on a total of 20 goals and have dropped down to third place. MANCHESTER UNITED remain in fourth place this week after they drew 1-1 at home to Everton to pick up goal number 14 after a two game dry spell. BIGHTON drew 0-0 at home to ARSENAL and that is their second blank to Arsenal’s four. WATFORD lost 1-0 away to Leeds Utd and that is their fourth blank of the season. WOLVES won 2-1 at home to Newcastle and they are on a total of 11 goals. CRYSTAL PALACE drew 2-2 at home to LEICESTER CITY both teams are on a total of  8 goals each. TOTTENHAM are on 8 goals after they won 2-1 at home to ASTON VILLA who picked up their 17th goal. WEST HAM lost 2-1 at home to BRENTFORD and they are on a total of 15 goals while Brentford are on 20 goals. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

BOURNEMOUTH are still top here after they won 2-1 at home against SHEFFIELD UNITED. Bournemouth are on 23 goals. United picked up their 17th goal of the season. West Brom are now in second place with FULHAM now in fifth place. They lost 4-1 away to Coventry and they are on a total of 25 goals. BARNSLEY lost 1-0 at home to Millwall and that is their sixth blank and now just two goals in their last six games. NOTTINGHAM FOREST picked up another three goals as they win 3-1 away to Birmingham. Forest are now on a total of 16 goals. CARDIFF lost 1-0 at home to READING and that is their fifth blank and now two games in a row. Reading are on 17 goals. DERBY drew 0-0 at home to SWANSEA and that is their fifth blank and now three goals in their last six games. Swansea also picked up their fifth blank. HULL won their second league game out of eleven played as they win 2-0 at home to Middlesbrough. Hull are on 9 goals. PETETBOROUGH lost 3-2 at home to Bristol City and they are on a total of 12 goals after a two game dry spell for goals. PRESTON lost 3-2 away to QPR and they are on 23 goals. 

LEAGUE ONE

WIGAN are still top here this weekend after they won 2-0 away to Gillingham. Wigan are on 18 goals. Sunderland are still in second place with PLYMOUTH in third as they drew 2-2 away to LINCOLN CITY. Plymouth are now on 22 goals and have scored in all of their last twelve games. Lincoln are on 16 goals. BURTON ALBION drew 1-1 away to AFC Wimbledon and they are on 11 goals. IPSWICH lost 2-1 away to Accrington as they hit goal number 19 and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. It’s 20 goals for BOLTON as they win 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury. ROTHERHAM won 2-0 away to Cheltenham and they are on 17 goals and a goal run of six games. CHARLTON won 2-1 away to Fleetwood and they are on 12 goals and a goal run of seven games. SHEFFIED WEDNESDAY lost 2-1 at home to OXFORD UNITED and are on a total of 12 goals while Oxford are on 18. 

LEAGUE TWO

The highest team that we have here are SWINDON now now in fifth place. They won 3-1 away to Bristol Rovers and they are on a total of 12 goals. EXETER CITY are now in sixth place as they drew 2-2 at home to Walsall. Exeter are on 14 goals this week.
