Week Eleven

Here in Week Eleven of the competition and we had a total of three winners that won on a score of 10 goals to share our second £10 Rollover of the season. All three are first time winners and that brings our winners total up to fourteen. They are MARK JOHNSTON, STUART KEMP (1) and RICKY MILES.

Mark is in his second season with us and last season he finished in the winning frame in fifth place with a total of 292 goals. He also had one weekend shared win. This season he has kept two of his winning teams from last season and he has picked up three blank score sheets to date. With his highest weekend score, Mark is at his highest position to date.

Stuart started with us in the 2012/13 season and has been with us ever since. Now Stuart has two combos each season and last season he finished in 17th place with his first combo with 276 goals. His second combo finished in 48th place with 257 goals. He also picked up four weekend wins. This season with combo one, he has also picked up three blank score sheets and this is his personal best weekend score. The highest that his first combo has been is 32nd place in Week One.

Ricky started with us in the 2017/18 Season on where he finished in 56th place with a total of 278 goals. He picked up one weekend win. Last season he finished in 42nd place with 263 goals. This season he has picked up three blank score sheets and this is his personal best score. This is Ricky’s highest position to date. Our winners teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT

Just fourteen of us managed to pick up some midweek goals this week but the race for the cash has remained much the same as last week. In the lead we still have GEOFF CARTHY and COLIN WEBB both now have a total of 34 goals each. In second place we now have PETER PORTER down from one with a total of 33 goals. In third place down from two we now have our 2007/08 Champion RICKY WOOD with a total of 32 goals. In fourth place we still have JAMIE WOOD but we now have BOB SOPER who has moved down from three. Both with a total of 30 goals each. In fifth place we have TONY KING and and now joining him down from fourth place is LYANNA GRIMWOOD both with a total of 29 goals. 

WEEKEND RESULTS

We had all but five of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play thirteen of them failed to score any goals. The good news is that we all managed to pick up some goals. With a flat zero last weekend, this weekends average score went up to 5 goals. 

The Highest score over the weekend was five goals again and they came from LIVERPOOL. They won 5-0 away to WATFORD and it is their highest score to date keeping their 100% scoring intact. Liverpool have taken their goals tally up to 25 goals and they have now scored in all of their nine games play. Watford picked up their fifth blank and now two in a row.

Liverpool are one of our original teams and they were our top team back in the 1983/84 Season. In our first season they finished on a total of 103 goals. Two season’s later they picked up their highest end of season score with a total of 127 goals. Last season they finished with a total of 81 goals. They have been in every season with Golden Goals and over the years they have scored a total of 3211 goals which gives them an average score of 82 goals per season. This season they are going great on the goals front. They have a total of 30 votes this season. 

PREMIER LEAGUE

We have the top seven teams here this week with CHELSEA on top as they win 1-0 away to BRENTFORD. Chelsea are on a total of 17 goals while Brentford picked up their third blank of the season. Liverpool are in second place after their win with MANCHESTER CITY in third place. They won 2-0 at home against Burnley and they are on a total of 22 goals. ASTON VILLA lost 3-2 at home to WOLVES. Villa are on 19 goals and have scored in all of their last five games. Wolves are now on a total of 14 goals. LEICESTER CITY picked up their biggest win of the season by beating MANCHESTER UNITED 4-2 at home. Leicester are now on a total of 15 goals and have now scored in all of their last five games. United are on 16 goals. BRIGHTON drew 0-0 away to Norwich and that is their third blank and now two in a row. WEST HAM won 1-0 away to Everton and that is goal number 16 for them and they have also now scored in all of their last five games. TOTTENHAM picked up their biggest score of the season as they won 3-2 away to Newcastle. Tottenham are now on a total of 11 goals. 

CHAMPIONSHIP

BOURNEMOUTH are now three points in front as they win 2-0 away to Bristol City. Bournemouth are on a total of 25 goals. West Brom are in second place with FULHAM in third place. They won 4-1 at home to QPR and they are now on a total of 29 goals. HULL picked up yet another blank score sheet as they lost 2-0 away to Huddersfield. That is their eighth blank of the season. PETERBOROUGH are now second from bottom as they lost 2-0 away to Middlesbrough to pick up their seventh blank and now just two goals in their last four games. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 2-1 at home against Blackpool and they are on a total of 18 goals and a goal run of five games now. PRESTON drew 0-0 at home to DERBY and that is their fourth blank while Derby, bottom of the league, picked up their sixth and now just one goal in their last four games. READING won 1-0 at home to BARNSLEY and they are on 18 goals while Barnsley picked up their seventh blank and now just two goals in their last seven games. SHEFFIELD UNITED won 2-1 at home to Stoke and they are on a total of 19 goals. SWANSEA are on 19 goals as they win 3-0 at home to CARDIFF CITY. Cardiff picked up their seventh blank and now four in a row. 

LEAGUE ONE

We have the five top teams here this week with PLYMOUTH still on top on goal average as they win 3-1 away to OXFORD UNITED. Plymouth are now on a total of 27 goals and a goal run of fourteen games. Oxford are on 19 goals. WYCOMBE are still in second place after they won 2-0 away to Doncaster. Wycombe are on a total of 23 goals this week. WIGAN are in third place after they won 4-0 away to BOLTON. Wigan are now on a total of 22 goals while Bolton picked up their eighth blank and now two in a row. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY drew 2-2 away to AFC Wimbledon and they are on a total of 15 goals and a goal run of seven games. IPSWICH are on 23 goals as they drew 2-2 away to Cambridge Utd. Ipswich have extended their goal run to eleven games. SUNDERLAND won 2-1 away to Gillingham and they are on a total of 27 goals. LINCOLN CITY won 2-1 at home to CHARLTON and they are on a total of 18 goals to Charlton’s 13. ROTHERHAM picked up their biggest result of the season by winning 4-1 at home against PORTSMOUTH. Rotherham are now on a total of 21 goals and have now scored in all of their last eight games. Portsmouth are on 16 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games. 

LEAGUE TWO

SUTTON UNITED are our highest team here now in fifth place. They won 1-0 away to Crawley and they are on a total of 14 goals. CARLISLE lost 1-0 at home to Tranmere and they have now had a total of seven blank score sheets and now four games in a row. EXETER CITY are on  atotal of 18 goals as they drew 2-2 at home to Newport. Exeter have now scored in all of their last six games. STEVENAGE lost 3-0 away to Oldham and that is their fourth blank of the season. SALFORD CITY won 2-0 at home to Hartlepool and they are on a total of 17 goals. SCUNTHORPE picked up their seventh blank as they lost 2-0 at home to Forest Green. Scunthorpe have scored just one goal in their last four games. SWINDON drew 2-2 at home to Rochdale and they are on a total of 16 goals. 

Our BEST three teams this week are

Our WORST three teams are 

BARNSLEY (7) SCUNTHORPE (7) CRYSTAL PALACE (8) Total of 22 goals 

SCOTTISH LEAGUES

In the Premiership, RANGERS are now just one point in front of second place HEARTS as they drew 1-1 at home. Rangers are on a total of 22 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. Hearts hit goal number 25. CELTIC have moved up to fourth place after they won 2-0 away to Motherwell. Celtic are on a total of 27 goals. ABERDEEN lost 2-1 away to Dundee and that is their 11th goal of the season. 

In the Championship, KILMARNOCK drew 2-2 away to Dunfermline and they are now down to third place with a total of 18 goals.

In League Two, Kelty Hearts are still top with STENHOUSEMUIR have moved up after they won 2-0 away to Cowdenbeath to pick up their second league win in ten games. Stenhousemuir are on a total of 15 goals.Our on-form team is PLYMOUTH after scoring in all of their last fourteen League/Cup games with a total of 27 goals. 

Our worst team this week are still HULL after they have picked up eight blank score sheets out of thirteen games played. 

Our highest goal scorers in our 39th Season are now BRENTFORD who won 7-0 at home to Oldham in the third round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Eight.

CHRIS BOLBERY is now in his ninth consecutive weekend at the top and now ten weeks over the season. Chris picked up a total of six goals all coming from the weekend. He’s teams are Bournemouth, Celtic and Sunderland. Chris is now just one goal in front of Lyanna Grimwood in second place who picked up a total of eight goals this weekend. Lyanna teams are Fulham, Manchester City and Sunderland.

At the other end at 113 we still have ZIGGY (John Wood) here this weekend which is now his seventh consecutive weekend at the bottom. Ziggy did pick up two goals this weekend from Stenhousemuir. His teams are Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir.

We have a slight change in our top ten this week.
