In the Championship DERBY lost 2-1 at home to QPR after going a goal up by half-time. Despite losing the game Derby are on a total of 21 goals and remain bottom of the table and are in real trouble now.

Week Seventeen
In Week Seventeen of the competition we had our second player to pick up two wins this season and it goes to RICKY MILES. Ricky won on a score of 11 goals which is his personal best score this season. Ricky won his first lot of cash in Week Eleven where he shared the cash in our second Rollover. Since then he has picked up another blank weekend score sheet which now takes him up to a total of four. This weekend we see Ricky at his highest to date. His wining Teams are

Over half of us managed to pick up some midweek goals this week so the race for the cash has remained much the same again this week. It was REBECCA HARRINGTON that picked up the most number of goals with six this week. They came from Burton and Charlton her third teams is Manchester City and that has taken her midweek total to 27 goals. In the lead we still have BOB SOPER with a total of 48 goals. His teams are Arsenal, Fulham and Rangers. In second place with 47 goals we still have COLIN WEBB. In third place we have LYANNA GRIMWOOD and up from four PETER PORTER both with a total of 43 goals. In fourth place we still have and JAMIE WOOD and joining him we have GEOFF CARTHY up from five and TED HARRINGTON up from six. TONY GUY (3) moves back in. All four are on a total of 41 goals. In fifth place with 39 goals we have LOUIE HARRINGTON back in the race.
WEEKEND
RESULTS
We had all but five of our teams in action this weekend and out of them only ten failed to score any goals. So that means that our weekend average score for the second weekend running remained at 5 goals. The Highest score over the weekend was four goals and they came from two of our teams. They were LEICESTER CITY and LIVERPOOL.
PREMIER LEAGUE
We now have the top thirteen teams here with CHELSEA still on top and now just one point clear as they drew 1-1 at home against MANCHESTER UNITED. Chelsea are now on a total of 33 goals and have now scored in all of their last eight games. United are in eighth place with a total of 21 goals. MANCHESTER CITY are second after they won 2-1 at home against WEST HAM. City are now on a total of 33 goals. West Ham remained in fourth place with a total of 25 goals. LIVERPOOL are still in third place as they win 4-0 again at home to Southampton. Liverpool keep their 100% scoring record going after playing in fifteen games and are now on a total of 44 goals. ARSENAL in fifth place won 2-0 at home to Newcastle and they are on a total of 26 goals. BRIGHTON picked up their fifth blank of the season and now two in a row after they drew 0-0 at home to Leeds. CRYSTAL PALACE lost 2-1 At home to ASTON VILLA to pick up their 19th goal of the season and a goal run of eight games. Villa are on 25 goals. WOLVES drew 0-0 away to Norwich and that is their sixth blank score sheet. BRENTFORD won 1-0 at home to Everton and they are on 29 goals and they have now scored in all of their last six games. LEICESTER CITY won 4-2 at home to WATFORD. Leicester are now on a total of 24 goals while Watford are on 20 goals.

FULHAM are still top of the league after they drew 1-1 away to PRESTON. Fulham are now on a total of 51 goals. Preston picked up goal number 33. BOURNEMOUTH are still second as they drew 2-2 at home to Coventry. Bournemouth are on a total of 41 goals and have now scored in all of their last ten games. West Brom remained in third place. HULL won again this weekend as they win 2-1 at home against Millwall. Hull are on a total of 17 goals. CARDIFF won 2-1 away to Luton and they are on a total of 24 goals this week. PETERBOROUGH drew 0-0 at home to BARNSLEY and that is their twelfth blank of the season and have been goalless for four games now. Barnsley picked up their eleventh blank and now two in a row. WIGAN have moved up to second place after they won 2-1 away to PLYMOUTH. Wigan are on 37 goals while Plymouth after a two game dry spell fall down to fourth place with a total of 41 goals. WYCOMBE have moved up to third place after they drew 2-2 away to SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY. Wycombe are on 37 goals while Wednesday are on 30. BOLTON drew 2-2 at home to Cheltenham and they are on 34 goals. BURTON ALBION won 2-0 at home against Doncaster and they are on a total of 25 goals. SUNDERLAND won 2-1 away to Cambridge Utd and they are on 37 goals. PORTSMOUTH won 1-0 away to Gillingham and they are on 28 goals and a goal run of eight games now. LINCOLN CITY picked up their eighth blank score sheet and now no goals in their last three games as they lost 1-0 at home to Accrington. CHARLTON lost 1-0 away to Shrewsbury and that is their fourth blank of the season after they had scored in all of their last sixteen games. IPSWICH won 2-1 at home to Crewe and they are on a total of 39 goals after a two game dry spell.

EXETER CITY have moved back down to third place after they drew 1-1 away to Rochdale. Exeter are on a total of 32 goals and have now scored in all of their last fourteen games. SWINDON are in fourth place as they drew 1-1 at home to Harrogate. Swindon are on 31 goals and they have now scored in all of their last ten games. CARLISLE won 1-0 at home to Walsall and that is their 15th goal of the season. SALFORD CITY won 2-0 at home to Oldham and that has taken their goals tally to 26 and a goal run of seven games. SUTTON UNITED won 1-0 at home to Barrow and they are on 31 goals. SCUNTHORPE are bottom of the table after they drew 1-1 at home against Bradford. Scunthorpe are on a total of 15 goals.

and they are on 39 goals while Aberdeen picked up goal number 17. HEARTS are in third place after they
won 2-0 at home against St Mirren. Hearts are on a total of 35 goals.
In the SCOTTISH CUP Third Round , we had just three of our teams in this round and only one have made it through to the next round. They are KILMARNOCK who won 1-0 away to Queen’s Park and they are on 28 goals. KELTY HEARTS drew their game 0-0 at home to Montrose and after a goal run of fifteen games, Kelty picked up their second blank of the season. STENHOUSEMUIR go out after they lost 2-0 at home to Airdrie. That is their fifth blank and now two games in a row without a goal.

Our highest goal scorers in our 39th Season are now FULHAM who won 7-0 away to Blackburn Rovers in the league in Week Fourteen. CHELSEA won 7-0 at home to Norwich in the league in Week Twelve. BRENTFORD won 7-0 at home to Oldham in the third round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Eight.
We once again have a new leader this weekend and she becomes our second lady to lead the pack this season. They are ANN WELLARD. Ann picked up a total of ten goals from the week. Her teams are Bournemouth, Liverpool and Rangers. Mango (Paul Moran) has dropped down to second place after he picked up five goals at the weekend. He is just one goal behind Ann. His teams are Chelsea, Fulham and Rangers.
At the other end at 113 we still have ZIGGY (John Wood) here this weekend which is now his thirteenth consecutive weekend at the bottom. Ziggy did picked up three goals this week. His teams are Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir.

Another Blank for West Brom and Forest
In the Championship, WEST BROM drew their second game in the week again against NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0-0 at home this time. West Brom have now had a total of seven blank score sheets and they have now failed to score in their last three games. Forest have also played twice this week. They also drew their first game and now they have had a total of six blank score sheets and now two games in a row.

Fulham Still Top After Draw
In the Championship Top of the table FULHAM drew with bottom of the table DERBY 0-0 at home. Fulham picked up their third blank of the season after a goal run of ten games. Derby have now had a total of seven blanks to date. BOURNEMOUTH drew 1-1 away to Millwall to pick up goal number 39 and have now scored in all of their last nine games. BARNSLEY lost 2-0 at home to SWANSEA and that is their tenth blank of the season while Swansea are on a total of 30 goals. PETERBOROUGH lost 4-0 away to Blackburn Rovers pick up their eleventh blank of the season and now three in a row. Borough have scored just one goal in their last five games. Rotherham Top of League One
We had twenty-five of our teams in action last night and we had some good results with plenty of goals.
In the Championship WEST BROM drew 0-0 away to Blackpool and that is their sixth blank score sheet and now two games in a row without a goal. PRESTON won 2-1 away to Middlesbrough and they are on a total of 32 goals. NOTTINGHAM FOREST drew 0-0 at home to Luton and they have now had a total of five blank score sheets. READING lost 1-0 at home to SHEFFIELD UNITED. Reading picked up their seventh blank of the season while United picked up goal number 26.
In League One ROTHERHAM are now top after they won 2-0 away to IPSWICH. Rotherham are on 38 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games. Ipswich picked up their fourth blank score sheet and now two in a row. WYCOMBE are in second place after they won 2-0 away to PLYMOUTH who dropped down to third place. Wycombe are on a total of 35 goals while Plymouth picked up their fourth blank score sheet and now two in a row. BURTON ALBION picked up the highest result of the night and their personal best as they win 4-0 at home to Accrington. Burton have taken their goals tally to 23 goals after a two game dry spell. WIGAN drew 2-2 away to Cambridge Utd and they are on a total of 35 goals. PORTSMOUTH won 3-0 away to LINCOLN CITY and they are now on a total of 27 goals and a goal run of seven games. Week Sixteen
In Week Sixteen of the competition we had our third Rollover of the
season worth £10 and we had two players that had to share the cash once again.

picks up her second win.
Peter started with us back in the 2004/05 Season but he has not been in every one since then. So it is nice to see Peter coming back to Golden Goals. Peter in his first season finished in 57th place with a total of 261 goals. He also picked up two shared weekend wins. Last season he finished in 52nd place with 253 goals. This season we see Peter at his highest position to date and he has picked up a total of three blank weekend score sheets. His best team is Fulham. Julia become the first player to pick up two wins this season. Julia won in Week Twelve with our seasons highest score of 16 goals. Since then, she has picked up another blank weekend score sheet and she has now had a total of four. Sixteen is still her highest point and Liverpool is her best team. Our winners Teams are

Bolton's Shock Exit From Cup
The National League side Stockport County knocked-out League One Bolton Wanderers in the last of the FA CUP first round replays.. Bolton went two goals up in the first six minutes of the game before Stockport came back into the game. At full time the result stood at 3-3 so extra time was need to split these two teams. The result went into Stockport favour with a shocking 5-3 home win against Bolton. So Bolton are out of the cup as they take their goals total to 29.

FA CUP First Round Replays
In extra time, EXETER CITY drew 0-0
after full time but then won 3-0 in extra time at home to Bradford and they are
now on a total of 31 goals. They have now scored in all of their last twelve
games. OXFORD UNITED drew 1-1 after full time but then lost 4-3 away to
Bristol Rovers in extra time. They are now on a total of 32 goals. WIGAN
finally beat non-league Solihull Moors 2-1 in extra time after they drew 1-1
after the full 90 minutes. STEVENAGE drew 1-1 after full time but then
won 2-1 at home to MK Dons in extra time. Stevenage are on a total of 20 goals.
Out go WYCOMBE who lost 1-0 at home to Hartlepool and that is their sixth blank of the season and now two in a row.

Week Fifteen
In Week Fifteen of the competition due to the Internationals, there was no cash payout this weekend and so it has been Rolled over to next weekend with our third Rollover of the season worth £10. We had just twenty-nine players that managed to pick up some goals this weekend. FIONA CARTHY was one of them and she picked up the most number of goals with four. They came from Plymouth. Fiona’s other teams are Manchester United and Rangers.

Plymouth became our 80th voted English team when they first appeared in our 1990/91 Season and they finished on a total of 59 goals. Their highest score came in the 1995/96 Season with a total of 78 goals. Last season they finished on a total of 65 goals. Although this is their 15th Season with Golden Goals, they have now played in all of our last seven seasons. This season they have just one vote again and they have only picked up two blank score sheets in nineteen games.

Stenhousemuir Now in Fifth Place
In the Scottish League Two STENHOUSRMUIR won 3-1 at home against Albion Rovers to take their goals tally up to 25. They have now scored in all of their last six games and have moved up to fifth place in the league. They have won their last three league games.

Salford City Still in FA Cup
In the FA CUP first round SALFORD CITY won their game 1-0 away to non-league Dagenham & Redbridge. Salford are on a total of 20 goals. That means that we have a total of nine of our teams through to the next round.
Week Fourteen
In Week Fourteen of the competition we had a total of three winners to share the £5 Weekend Jackpot. They are MIKE HARRINGTON, BOB SAWYER and ANN WELLARD all three won on a score of 10 goals. This now brings our winners total up to nineteen. Mike became Champion in the 1997/98 Season on where he won on a score of 276 goals. He has the 35th highest Champion score and he shared the title with David Salmon. Last season Mike finished in 80th place with a total of 241 goals. He had one weekend win. This season He has picked up three blank weekend score sheets and this is his highest position to date.. Bob has also been with us for a long while now. Bob finished in 46th place with a total of 258 goals. He had one shared weekend win. This season Bob has picked up just one blank weekend score sheet and he has been as high as eleventh place in Weeks Three and Five. Ann rejoined Golden Goals a few seasons ago and last season she finished in 74th place on a total of 243 goals. This season Ann has become our third lady to win. She has picked up three blank weekend score sheets and 3rd is her highest position which was last weekend. Our winners teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Half of us managed to pick up some midweek goals this week and the race for the cash has once again changed this week. We had two players that picked up the highest midweek score with eight goals each. They were COLIN WEBB and JAMIE WOOD. Both have Fulham and West Brom in their combos.
In the lead again this week we still have BOB SOPER now with a total of 48 goals. His teams are Arsenal, Fulham and Rangers. In second place with 47 goals we now have COLIN WEBB moving up from three. In third place we now have LYANNA GRIMWOOD moving up from sixth place with a total of 42 goals. In fourth place down from two we now have PETER PORTER and coming back in the race is JAMIE WOOD. Both are on a total of 41 goals. In fifth place with 40 goals we have GEOFF CARTHY down from four. In sixth place this week we have moving down from four LOUIE HARRINGTON with a total of 38 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had all but two of our teams in action this weekend and out of the ones that did play fifteen of them failed to score any goals again this weekend. The good news is that we all managed to pick up some goals once again as we had another great weekend for goals. This weekends average score remained the same as last weekend with a total of 6 goals.
The Highest score over the weekend was five goals and they came from HEARTS. They won 5-2 at home to Dundee United. Hearts with their biggest result of the season are now on a total of 33 goals and a goal run of eight games. Hearts became our 11th voted team in Golden Goals and they first appeared in our 1986/87 Season and finished the season with a total of 72 goals. Their highest score came in the 2014/15 Season with 98. Last season they finished on a total of 71 goals. This is their 15th season with us and over the years they have netted a total of 982 goals. This gives them an average score of 65 goals per season. This season they are doing very well and have only picked up one blank score sheet to date. They have just one vote this time round.
FA CUP First Round
We had a total of nineteen of our teams in cup action and out of them eight have made it through to the next round with another nine involved in replays. So the team through are CARLISLE after they won 2-0 to non-league Horsham. Carlisle after failing to score in their last two games, are now on a total of 13 goals. CHARLTON won 4-0 at home to non-league Havant & Waterlooville and have taken their goals tally to 25. They have now score in all of their last thirteen games. SWINDON won 3-0 away to non-league FC Halifax and they are now on a total of 25 goals and a goal run of seven games. BURTON ALBION won 2-1 away to Fleetwood and they are on 19 goals. SUTTON UNITED picked up goal number 26 as they win 1-0 away to non-league Hayes & Yeading Utd. PORTSMOUTH won 1-0 at home to non-league Harrow Borough and are on a total of 21 goals. ROTHERHAM won 3-0 at home to non-league Bromley and they are now on a total of 33 goals. LINCOLN CITY won 1-0 at home to non-league Bowers & Pitsea and that is goal number 23 for them.
The teams that are in replays are EXETER CITY who drew 1-1 away to Bradford. Exeter are on 26 goals and a goal run of ten games. WYCOMBE drew 2-2 away to Hartlepool and they are on a total of 31 goals. IPSWICH drew 1-1 at home to Oldham and are on 35 goals and a goal run of sixteen games. STEVENAGE drew 2-2 away to MK Dons and they are on 17 goals after they failed to score in their previous four games. WIGAN after a goal run of nine games picked up their third blank of the season after they drew 0-0 at home to non-league Solihull Moors. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY drew 0-0 at home to PLYMOUTH and that was their fifth blank after a goal run of eleven games, while Plymouth after a run of seven teen games, picked up their second blank of the season. BOLTON drew 2-2 at home to non-league Stockport County. Bolton are on a total of 24 goals. OXFORD UNITED drew 2-2 at home to Bristol Rovers and they are on a total of 29 goals and a goal run of eight games.
Teams that went out are SCUNTHORPE who lost 1-0 at home to Doncaster and that is their eighth blank of the season. SUNDERLAND lost 1-0 at home to Mansfield and that is their sixth blank and now two in a row.
PREMIER LEAGUE
We now have the top ten teams here this week with CHELSEA keeping on top after they drew 1-1 at home to Burnley. Chelsea are now on a total of 29 goals and a goal run of six games. MANCHESTER CITY have moved up to second place after they won 2-0 away to local rivals MANCHESTER UNITED. City are on a total of 28 goals after a two game dry spell. United picked up their fourth blank fo the season and are down to sixth place. WEST HAM are now in third place after they won 3-2 at home to LIVERPOOL who are down to fourth place. West Ham are now on a total of 24 goals while Liverpool are on 36 goals and they once again keep their 100% scoring record after a total of thirteen games. ARSENAL are now in fifth place after they won 1-0 at home to WATFORD. Arsenal picked up goal number 24 while Watford picked up their seventh blank and now two in a row. BRENTFORD lost 2-1 at home to Norwich and that is goal number 25 for them this week. BIGHTON drew 1-1 at home to Newcastle and they are on 18 goals. CRYSTAL PALACE won 2-0 at home to WOLVES and they are on 15 goals while Wolves picked up their fifth blank after a goal run of six games. TOTTENHAM drew 0-0 away to Everton and that is their fifth blank and now two in a row. LEICESTER CITY drew 1-1 away to Leeds and they are on 20 goals.
CHAMPIONSHIP
We have the top three teams here once again this week with BOURNEMOUTH top and now just two points in front as they win 4-0 away to SWANSEA. Bournemouth are on a total of 36 goals while Swansea picked up their sixth blank of the season. FULHAM are still in second place after they won 1-0 away to PETERBOROUGH. Fulham are now on a total of 46 goals and they have now scored in all of their last nine games. Borough picked up their ninth blank of the season. WEST BROM in third place drew 1-1 at home to Middlesbrough and that is goal number 27 for them HULL won their third league game of the season after they won 2-0 away to BARNSLEY. Hull are on a total of 12 goals after failing to score in their previous three games. Barnsley have now had a total of nine blank score sheets. READING won 2-1 away to Birmingham and they are on 22 goals after a three dry spells for goals. SHEFFIELD UNITED lost 3-1 away to Blackburn and they are on a total of 25 goals. Its 20 goals for CARDIFF as they win 2-1 at home to Huddersfield. Bottom of the table DERBY drew 1-1 away to Millwall and that is goal number 17 for them this week. NOTTINGHAM FOREST won 3-0 at home against PRESTON. Forest are now on a total of 25 goals while Preston picked up their seventh blank fo the season.

Rangers have extended their goal run to thirteen games and they have taken their goals tally up to 36 goals. CELTIC are still in second place after they won 4-2 away to Dundee. Celtic are now on a total of 36 goals. ABERDEEN lost 2-0 at home to Motherwell and that is their third blank of the season after a goal run of six games.
