In Week Twenty-Six of the competition we had our twenty-seventh winner of the season and it goes to IAN SMITH. Ian won with a score of 12 goals and he picks up the full £5 Weekend Cash Prize Money. Ian started with us back in the 2014/15 Season where he finished in 77th place with a total of 242 goals. Last season Ian finished in 47th place with a total of 258 goals. This season Ian has been as high as fourteenth place and that was back in Week Five. He has picked up a total of three blank score sheets to date and his best team is Rangers. Ian’s winning teams are

100 MIDWEEK GOALS JACKPOT
Just over half of us managed to pick up some midweek goals this week and we still have two players that are away in front from the rest of the pack. We can add another four players to the list who are at the half way mark. We now have forty-nine players that are nearer to that 100 Midweek Goals Jackpot this week. We still have LYANNA GRIMWOOD in the lead with a total of 86 goals. Lyanna teams are Fulham. Manchester City and Sunderland. In second place we still have BOB SOPER with a total of 81 goals. In third place LOUIE HARRINGTON remains there with a total of 78 goals. In fourth place with 72 goals we still have PETER PORTER. In fifth place we now have COLIN WEBB on a total of 70 goals.
WEEKEND RESULTS
We had all but seventeen of our teams in action this weekend, Out of the ones that did play thirteen failed to score any goals. Because of that the weekend average score went down from four goals last weekend to 3 goals this weekend. The good news is that it was not Covid that cancelled a few of the games this weekend it was the weather.
The highest score came from OXFORD UNITED with a total of seven goals. They picked up their highest result of the season as they win 7-2 away to Gillingham. Oxford have taken their goals tally to 56 goals. Oxford United became our 34th voted English team when they started in our second season of 1984/85. In that season they finished on a score of 98 goals which is their highest to date. They are in their 9th Season with Golden Goals and last season they finished on a score of 83 goals. Over the years they have scored a total of 657 goals which gives them an average score of 73 goals per season to date. This season they have had a total of seven blank score sheets and a total of seven votes.
CHAMPIONSHIP
FULHAM are still top here after they drew 1-1 at home against Blackpool. Fulham are on a total of 77 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games.
In the Play-Offs we now have two teams and they are BOURNEMOUTH who are now down to third place after they won 1-0 away to BARNSLEY. Bournemouth are on a total of 52 goals while Barnsley picked up their fourteenth blank and now two in a row. Our other team is WEST BROM in fifth place. They lost 2-0 away to Millwall and that is their twelfth blank and now two in a row.
Meanwhile HULL won 2-0 at home to SWANSEA and they are on a total of 28 goals. Swansea picked up their ninth blank and now two in a row. PRESTON drew 2-2 at home to Bristol City and they are on a total of 45 goals. READING picked up their eleventh blank score sheet as they lost 4-0 away to QPR. PETERBOROUGH lost 2-0 at home to SHEFFIELD UNITED and they have now had a total of fifteen blank score sheets. Sheffield have taken their goals total to 38. DERBY drew 2-2 at home to Birmingham to give them a total of 32 goals. CARDIFF won 2-1 at home to NOTTINGHAM FOREST and they are on a total of 35 goals to Forest’s total of 42.
LEAGUE ONE
We have the top two teams here and they are now ROTHERHAM who have moved to the top as they win 2-0 away to Crewe. Rotherham are now on a total of 54 goals. WIGAN have moved down to second place after they drew 0-0 away to Cheltenham. Wigan have now had a total of four blank score sheets after a goal run of eleven games.
In the Play-Offs we have three teams still with SUNDERLAND going down to third place after they lost 6-0 away to BOLTON. As Sunderland picked up their seventh blank after a goal run of fourteen games, Bolton picked up their highest result of the season. Bolton have taken their goals tally up to 44. WYCOMBE have moved down again to fifth place after they lost 1-0 at home to MK Dons. That is Wycombe eighth blank of the season. Oxford United are still in sixth place after their biggest win of the season.
Meanwhile PLYMOUTH won 3-1 away to Doncaster and they have extended their goal run to eleven games with a total of 58 goals. LINCOLN CITY lost 2-1 at home to BURTON ALBION. Lincoln are on a total of 35 goals while Burton are on 39. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY won 1-0 at home to IPSWICH and they are on a total of 39 goals. Ipswich picked up their ninth blank score sheet.
LEAGUE TWO
In the Play-Offs we have two teams this week. The highest team that we have here now are SUTTON UNITED who are down to fourth place this weekend. They won 2-0 away to CARISLE UNITED and they are on a total of 47 goals. Carlisle picked up their fifteenth blank of the season and now no goals in their last three games. SWINDON who are now down to seventh place after they drew 1-1 away to Colchester. Swindon are now on a total of 47 goals.
Meanwhile EXETER CITY drew 0-0 at home against Hartlepool to pick up their eighth blank of the season. SALFORD CITY picked up their seventh blank score sheet as they lost 1-0 away to Northampton. STEVENAGE won 3-0 at home to Harrogate and they are now on a total of 36 goals. SCUNTHORPE are bottom of the league as they lost 1-0 away to Port Vale. That is Scunthopre's fourteenth blank of the season and now just two goals in their last six games.

In the Premiership RANGERS drew 3-3 away to Ross County and they are now on a total of 60 goals and have extended their goal run to 25 games. CELTIC are now just two points behind Rangers as they get a late goal in their 1-0 home win against Dundee Utd. Celtic are on a total of 58 goals. HEARTS in third place won 2-0 at home to Motherwell and they are on a total of 49 goals and have now scored in all of their last six games.
In the Championship KILMARNOCK are now in second place after they won 1-0 at home against Inverness CT. Kilmarnock are on a total of 37 goals.
In League Two KELTY HEARTS are ten points in front as they win 3-2 at home to Stranaer and they are now on a total of 60 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR won 2-1 at home to Elgin and they are on a total of 41 goals.
Our on-form team are now RANGERS after scoring in all of their last twenty-five League/Cup games out of 27 games played. They have a total of 60 goals.
Our worst teams this week are CARLISLE UNITED and PETERBOROUGH after both teams have now picked up a total of fifteen blank score sheets.
Our highest goal scorers in our 39th Season are now OXFORD UNITED as they won 7-2 away to Gillingham in the league in Week Twenty-Six. FULHAM have now scored seven goals twice this season. They first won 7-0 away to Blackburn Rovers in the league in Week Fourteen and they have also won 7-0 away to Reading in the league in Week Twenty-Four. MANCHESTER CITY winning 7-0 at home to Leeds Utd in the league in Week Twenty. CHELSEA won 7-0 at home to Norwich in the league in Week Twelve. BRENTFORD won 7-0 at home to Oldham in the third round of the Carabao/League Cup in Week Eight.
LYANNA GRIMWOOD is still at the top this weekend as she picks up just one goal from the weekend. Lyanna has been top for two weeks and now three over the season. Her teams are Fulham, Manchester City and Sunderland. Lyanna is still just one goal in front of Peter Wellard in second place this weekend. Peter’s teams are Chelsea, Fulham and Manchester City.
At the other end at 113 we still have ZIGGY (John Wood) again this weekend which is now his twentieth consecutive weekend at the bottom and now twenty-two over the season. Ziggy picked up four goals from the week. His teams are Crystal Palace, Scunthorpe and Stenhousemuir.
