Week Eleven

We are back to a full league fixture this weekend and what a weekend we had for goals. This was because our top teams performed very well with a few of our lesser voted teams.
It was RANGERS that picked up the highest score with six goals as they win 6-1 at home against Raith. With their highest score of the season, Rangers are now on 30 goals and keep their 100% scoring record intacked after a total of 12 league/cup games.
Starting in our very first year, this is Rangers 31st Season with Golden Goals and in that time they have scored 100 or more goals in fourteen of  them season’s. Their highest score is 126 goals scored back in our 1992/93 Season. Last season they finished on a total of 120 goals. Their average score is 92.5 goals per season to date. They have a total of 40 votes this season.
 
PREMIERSHIP
CHELSEA remain top and five points clear here as they win 2-1 away to CRYSTAL PALACE. Chelsea still with that 100% scoring record after nine league and one cup game they are now on 25 goals. Palace picked up goal number 16. MAN CITY are second in the league and they also are on 25 goals as they win 4-1at home to TOTTENHAM. Spurs picked up goal number 13. LIVERPPOL won 3-2 away to QPR and are on 15 goals while Rangers are on 6 and still rock bottom. ARSENAL drew 2-2 at home against Hull and have a total of 14 goals. EVERTON are on 16 goals as they win 3-0 at home to Aston Villa.
 
CHAMPIONSHIP
It’s all change at the top in this one as WATFORD go one point clear of Derby as Watford win 3-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday. Watford are now on a total of 25 goals. DERBY won 3-0 away to READING and that takes their goals tally to 27. Reading picked up their 5th blank of the season and they have now netted just four goals in their last six games. NORWICH are now fourth as they lost 1-0 away to FULHAM. That was their 4th blank score sheet of the season and they have scored four goals in their last five games. Fulham picked up goal number 16. NOTTINGHAM FOREST lost 2-1 to CARDIFF and the single goal gives them a total of 24 while Cardiff are now on 20. CHARLTON picked up their 3rd blank as they lost 1-0 away to Bournemouth. It’s 19 for WOLVES as they drew 3-3 away to Millwall. WIGAN drew 0-0 at home to Brenford to pick up their 5th blank scoresheet of the season.
 
LEAGUE ONE
BRISTOL CITY are once again still top here as they win 3-1 away to COVENTRY. City just love picking up them three goals results which means that they have now picked up ten goals in their last four games to give them a total of 29. Coventry picked up goal number 15. PETERBOROUGH remained second after they won 2-1 at home to BARNSLEY. Borough are now on 21 goals while Barnsley hit goal number 18. PRESTON are fourth after they won 2-0 at home to Port Vale and they are now on 25 goals. MK DONS have moved down to fifth place after they drew 0-0 away to LEYTON ORIENT. The Don’s picked up their 2nd blank while Orient picked up their 5th. SHEFFIELD UNITED won 2-0 away to Bradford to take their goals tally to 23. DONCASTER lost 3-1 away to Fleetwood and picked up their 16th goal of the season. It’s 16 goals for SCUNTHORPE as they drew 1-1 at home to Colchester.
 
LEAGUE TWO                                                                                                         
BURY have moved back up to second place as they win 3-0 at home to PORTSMOUTH. Bury arenow on 25 goals while Portsmouth picked up their 7th blank of the season. LUTON are still fourth as they win 2-1 away to Hartlepool. Luton are now on15 goals. STEVENAGE are now on 16 goals as they win 2-1 at home to Accrington.
 
SCOTTISH LEAGUES                                                                                                                       
We had had a very good weekend for goals from our Scottish teams. We already know about Rangers hat full of goals but CELTIC won 5-0 away to Ross County and that took their goals total to 23 while HEARTS won 5-1 at home to Dumbarton which now gives them a total of 33 goals. STENHOUSEMUIR won 4-0 away to Stirling and they are now on 18 goals while DUNFERMLINE drew 0-0 at home to Forfar to pick up their 3rd blank of the season.
 
THE BEST THREE TEAMS ARE…  

MK DONS (34) HEARTS (33) RANGERS (30) Total of 97 goals.
 
THE WORST THREE TEAMS ARE…  

QPR (6) PORTSMOUTH (12) ROTHERHAM (12) Total of 30 goals.
 
QUEENS PARK RANGERS are still our worst team to date for this season. After a total of nine games, in which eight are league games and a cup game, Rangers have only picked up six goals so far. They have had five blank score sheets.
 
MANCHESTER CITY  have picked up our highest score of  the season when they won their Capital One Cup third round tie against Sheffield Wednesday 7-0 at home.
 
PORTSMOUTH our second worst team have picked up the most number of blank score sheets this season with seven in fifteen games. They have scored just five goals in their last ten games.
 
As you know, if you read as far as this, we are following Manchester City scored a record breaking end of season score of 137 goals last season, In Week eleven last season, City had no midweek game once again but at the weekend they picked up three goals. Their goals tally have now moved up to 25 goals after their first nine games played. They had just one blank score sheet from week six and their highest score was still five goals.
This season they also had no midweek but at the weekend they picked up four goals against Tottenham which means that they are also on 25 goals this weekend. They have had just one blank score sheet to date. They are away to West Ham this weekend.
